We've been asked by Activision, the makers of Skylanders Spyro's Adventure, to find 60 Mumsnet families to go to a Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Nickelodeon Event day in London or Liverpool with their family. You'll have exclusive access to the event for a couple of hours before it opens to the public.

The Event will be going on all day, 9am-7pm but you can come and go as you please - the exclusive Mumsnet access session is 9-10.30am. Here are the dates:

Saturday 10th September in Liverpool - Williamson Square, Liverpool NOW CLOSED
Sunday 11th September in Liverpool - Williamson Square, Liverpool NOW CLOSED
Sunday 18th September in London - Westfield Stratford City (please note this is the new Westfield centre in East London)
PLEASE NOTE THEY ARE NOW UNABLE TO RUN THE SATURDAY PREVIEW SESSION - IF YOU APPLIED TO THIS WE HAVE EMAILED YOU

Skylanders Spyro's Adventure is designed for children aged 7-12 years but the event is a day out for the whole family (up to 6 people per family can attend, including children of all ages). Here's what will be happening:
· The Trial Turrets: The highlight of the tour, your child(ren) will be amongst the first in the world to play Skylanders Spyro's Adventure. There will be two Trial Turrets, each featuring six screens, with game trials going on all day.
· The Main Stage area: Nickelodeon presenter Matt Walker will lead proceedings, so expect stage shows packed full of cheekiness, laughs, slime and prizes galore! There will be a live 'Burp off', the chance to 'dress up your parents', quizzes and games, including: Jelly Fishing, Ball Pool relay, Hoola Hoops, Build a Krabby Patty relay and Air Guitar, where kids can dress up in wigs and costumes and play air guitar in front of the Sponge Bob and Patrick videos playing on the big screen.
· The Green Screen Activity Marquee: Take a little piece of the Skylands world home, with a souvenir photograph taken within the magical Skylands world.
· Whirlwind?s Tornado Tunnel: The game's element of 'Air' will be brought to life inside the dome-like tunnel. In teams of five, children will have the challenge of plucking a special prize ticket from the thousands of tickets blowing around inside, within a ten minute slot.
Click here for more information about the events.

The events will be filmed and photographed for promotion for other events. If you attend and are filmed/photographed, you'll be asked to sign release forms. The films and photos will feature on the Skylanders website and possibly elsewhere. Parking is available at both Liverpool and London venues but the cost of this isn't covered as part of the event and you'll need to bring your own refreshments if you plan to stay for the whole day.

Attendance is by invitation only - if you'd like to attend please sign up here and we'll be in touch with full details if you're selected.

If you're selected to go, you'll be asked to add your feedback from the day to a thread on Mumsnet - everyone who does so will be entered into a prize draw to win a Wii console.

Thanks and good luck

It's like someone has climbed into my children's brains and picked the sort of thing that they would love to do!!!

ThePosieParker Fri 02-Sep-11 17:41:34

BTW if the number of children put you off, I could come without DH and just bring the oldest two!!

Fimbo Fri 02-Sep-11 17:54:34

I have applied too, never mind the kids we would enjoy it too! I can do either of the dates in London but it only had the option to pick 1.

pithtaker Fri 02-Sep-11 18:42:46

Have done and also would only bring eldest two if a little one is innappropriate.

mumatron Fri 02-Sep-11 18:49:22

I'll be going for this one tomorrow (on phone atm)

I think my dd would melt into a puddle on the floor if we got this one.

DeathOrCake Fri 02-Sep-11 18:50:41

Aaagh, would love to, but busy that weekend, and Liverpool is too far!

I could also do both London dates. smile

Lilyloo Fri 02-Sep-11 18:57:11

Tortoise Sat 03-Sep-11 08:40:39

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Sat 03-Sep-11 10:01:37

lisad123 Sat 03-Sep-11 10:06:58

Collision Sat 03-Sep-11 18:14:53

OI!! Lisa! I have applied for Sunday morning tickets.

Do it too and we can meet up and have a natter and then go to cheapo McDonalds for lunch!!

Do it! Do it! Do it! We have been threatening to meet up for years!

gazzalw Sat 03-Sep-11 18:51:10

AnnMumsnet, is that 60 Mumsnet families in total or for each date/location?

lisad123 Sat 03-Sep-11 18:59:27

LOL Collision, no can do but thanks smile

Lilyloo Sat 03-Sep-11 19:28:50

Thanks Ann smile

AnnMumsnet (MNHQ) Sat 03-Sep-11 19:40:30

gazzalw - it's 60 in total....30 for each location (I guess 15 per day but not 100% sure). The sunday one in London is most popular at the moment so if you can do the Sat do choose that date. The Liverpool one is about the same

<phew>

Was a bit shock at having to guess 60 MN names grin

Would've loved to go, but it's a two hour journey each way, so to get there for the Mumsnet exclusive, we'd have to leave home at 07:30. Doubt the Dc's would be agreeable with that unfortunately.

gazzalw Sun 04-Sep-11 08:02:40

Thanks AnnMumsnet - unfortunately DS is doing 11+ on Saturday so that's not possible!

edam Sun 04-Sep-11 10:42:37

done - for London on the 17th. When I asked ds if he'd be interested, his eyes widened and he looked at me as if I was mad for even asking the question...

grumpypants Sun 04-Sep-11 10:59:51

we can only do sundays as dh works saturdays sad but fingers crossed.

fedupofnamechanging Sun 04-Sep-11 14:06:33

My dc would love this. Have entered so with a bit of luck...

ThePosieParker Sun 04-Sep-11 20:24:14
