I joined just over a week ago. Lost 3.5lbs in my first week, second weigh in tomorrow. I've set my target for just under 3stone but ideally I'd love to loose 4. Good luck 🍀

Omelettes, homemade soups, lean meats or fish, slimming world chips, slimming world tikka sauce from Iceland is great with chicken and rice, homemade burgers made with less than 5%minced beef, I especially love birds eye sensations cod in tomato & Rosemary sauce it only takes 4 min in the microwave and is only 4 syns team that up with baked potato and veg and you will be full, drink loads of water, have small treats now and again and add up all your syns. You will be amazed by the results if you stick to plan.

Went to my first meeting yesterday! So excited, aiming to lose at least 3 stone.

The part I feel maybe difficult is weighing food to know how much syn it is, especially when out, does anyone have any tips on how they count syns? Also, is frylight a natural oil or is it mixed down with chemicals to make it fat free? I usually cook with olive oil and was surprised that it is a syn!

Sunshine afaik the reason fry light is free is that you use miniscule amounts per spray. If you were to pour it from the bottle it would no longer be free.

Ahh thanks, is one spray enough for say a stir fry? Or to fry steak/chicken?

I use about 5-10 sprays for my pan. Be careful about cooking it at too high a heat as it can easily burn your pan.

@abigwideworld ahh thanks for the tips, that makes it better as one spray looked like nothing! :)

@candy well done on your big loss! That's amazing first week progress! Any tips on following the diet? What were your favourite meals?

I am thinking of going to a meeting tomorrow night, I need to lose approximately 2 stone, I do not want to be this heavy for my 50th next year

I've started today (online though, not groups as I can't make the times). I've got 1.5 stone to lose after having two babies in two years.
At the moment I'm amazed that people lose weight when there's so much you can eat! I'm not doubting it works, just impressed that you never need to be hungry. I had poached egg, grilled tomato and baked beans with a slice of wholemeal toast for breakfast, pasta with a homemade tomato sauce piled with veg for lunch and am having chicken stir fry for dinner. The only sins I've used are olive oil to cook everything in.
