: Survey with chance to win a week in Costa Rica or a hamper and six months supply of coffee
(265 messages)
I'd love to have said yes to the trip, but logistically it would have been a nightmare Plus as it involves interviews I doubt I'd qualify as a face of MN/Kenco Never mind, I'll get some vicarious pleasure out of whoever does win.
Is it not a 1 in 66.6666 chance if there is 3 places or is my maths just rubbish???!! monkeytrousers - think positive, it has to happen to someone and that someone could be you!
I'm not. Never ever happens. I'd love a chance to escape from my miserable and earstwhile (d)p - tho will miss ds like mad - it would so me the world of good - that and never having had a real holidat in 30 years

Sorry MrsJohnCusack - we do try but so many of the comp folks stipulate UK only entrants - apparently in some instances it's to do with competition law being different in different countries.. or so they tell me..
Anyways, we've now got over 500 responses to the survey and around 200 gunning for the three trips to Costa Rica.
Just a reminder that you don't have to be keen to leave kith and kin behind and head for the rainforest in order to take part in the survey. All you need to be is a coffee drinker and you could be up for winning a luxury hamper and six months supply of coffee.
The survey only takes a couple of minutes to complete so please put down your mug of decaff and fill it in now
I think it's a moot point for me, as I just read that you actually have to be a coffee drinker to enter...how much of a coffee drinker do you think you really have to be...could I fake it?
have entered - would have LOVED to have won the trip to Costa Rica - what an adventure but sadly I am due a baby 3 days after the start of the trip so don't think that would be advisable! Whoever wins must let us know how it goes.......
that would be fanfeckingtastic LL but i just couldn't fit it in, we are of on hols in oct and then hopefully away at christmas, i hope you are lucky. the coffee hamper would be handy for my Mac coffeee morning (will there be rum?)
Have we established yet whether you have to enter the comp AND post 'done' or 'entered' or summat on the relevant thread in order to enter the relevant comp ?
I would LOVE to go on that trip, and I would be the Perfect Candidate, slurping the coffee, tramping through the plantations, wearing comedy safari shorts, taking the aid and education bit Very Seriously, Running my fingers sensuously thorugh the sacks of beans like the woman in the old ad, shagging the....oops, no, no, not on camera, anyway.
But I have a feeling that were I to start a thread 'AIBU to think that I can swan off to Costa Rica while DS is in the middle of gruelling bone surgery?' I would end up as high roasted as an espresso bean.
So - you are all spared the competition - and it's stay put at CostaCoffee for me! Grrrrrr!
I have entered ,though God knows I never win anything, so if anyone sees a pig flying past their window . You will know the impossible has happened. The sad thing is I already use Kenco coffee all the time,so they won't even have to persuade me to change to their product.
Three strangers, miles away from home and enough caffeine to kill a small horse? It's hardly fking Pimms o'clock, is it?
I predict one or all of these events: a) they will kill each other over a sausage roll/P&T parking/bf vs ff/SAHM vs WOHM/pedantry incident b) they will come home and each kill someone who has Pissed Off one of the other two c) someone will do a Gareth Hunt shakey wanky hand thing and a deathly silence at th horror of Nestle confusion will be followed by someone being jettisoned from the plane d) it will be monsoon season in Costa Rica in November and you will need hot coffee to warm you up after your drownings e) it will be won by three professional compo take parters f) Costa Rica - been there, done that. For a travelling kitten like me, it is very 2007. g) I have entered and I really want coffee more than the holiday h) do NOT tell cod i) if it's dreadful when you get there, fake the runs then spend the day lounging around the pool whilst the film crew have to recruit 3 burly chambermaids to extoll the virtue of Kenco, which they can only pronounce Kengcow and none of them likes coffee, they prefer tequila.
I've just entered! Never win anything though so I'm not holding out much hope. Wish I had entered for the coffee though! Never raid the bit about publicity lol
OK i've done the survey but only put myself into the draw for hamper and coffee. I'd love a holiday but DP deserves one too and we haven't had a family holiday this year. All those questions about gap years put me off a bit, not sure why! I thought it was a bit odd in the 'what green things do you do' that an option was 'avoid long haul flights'....when the prize is a long haul flight...
Can't wait to see which 3 mumsnetters are going to be sat together in cattle class on a plane for hours on end then thrown together in a straw hut for a week!!
Who is going to be the first to suggest suitably unsuited trios????
I've gone for the coffee. Much as I;d love to go I think a trip to Costa Rica would be a bit unrealistic at the moment. I won a mumsnet cottage stay in Cornwall once and that was hard enough to organise - and we only live in Devon. (Very nice it was too - - Bosinver Farm)
Are you using Internet Explorer? Go to Tools, Internet Options, and look for Delete browsing history (you can choose which bits to delete, ie just cookies, or history etc). On Firefox it's Tools, Clear Private Data.
Tis good for your computer to clear out temporary files etc periodically.
Ooh I would love to go, I will be 4 months pregnant though, might limit the amount of coffee I could get through (not to mention making the bikini shots a bit, well, bumpy)...
