im sorry that this is probs in the wrong place!!!

i ve looked on reviews etc but cant seem to find my way around!!

this will be our 2nd DC and i ve taken quiet a fancy to the silvercross pram, i live in a flat but always left DS pram under the stairs, its (very safe) he had a quinny zapp and it was awful the seat didnt recline etc (it was a gift) so we ended up buying a jeep pushchair which was ok but really hard to fold. so anyways im thinking about getting the silvercross pram and just wondered what you all thought/think of it.

I have silvercross freeway and it was great. Don't know if that's the one you're after. You have to take the pram bit off to fold it up though. I liked the fact that you can have the baby/toddler facing you.

I nearly bought one but then I read some bad reviews on it. The main thing that put me off is that the pushchair doesn't face you so once baby is a few months old and wanting to have a nosey at the world it's facing away from you.

mmm thats what i wondered, i seen one silvercross (linear??) or summing like that and you could have the pushchair bit facing you or outwards! the 3D ones have sooooo many names tho!!!!

i had the 3d when ds was small, it was ok as a pram but crap as a pushchair, ds was cramped in it by 5mths. its also really heavy and is like pushing a tank when you have loads of shopping and a heavy baby in it.

i bought an Obaby pushchair which can fully recline and its greatn not sure if its suitable for a newborn though

When I was buying my pram the girl in the shop did say that the 3D is good for ppl who r going on buses, it is quite easy to fold. With prams like the Quinny etc don't you have to remove the seat unit? So you'd have 2 pieces which I imagine would be a nightmare getting on to a bus.

i really do like the look of the 3D, but its a lot of money for something that could turn out not so good!

The 3d is good in that you don't have to take the carrycot off to fold it, but you can't push it with one hand and it is very heavy. Ds is only 8 months and I'm not using it anymore, just got a lightweight pushchair, so it cost £300 and did not last very long.

I have the 3D in Jet Sport, it looks lovely but i'm not sure i'd say it was a great pram - this is the Silver Cross that only has a forward facing pushchair, not like the others that are rear facing which I confused it with. It is very heavy to push and you can't push it one handed but does fold down well. I always assumed it was a travel system though as the car seat fits on it really easily. I like it in pram mode though.

The folding mechanism has gone on ours too but it's just out of guarantee I think, even though we've been slack as it broke ages ago, it does work but it's really hard to put up. I wish we'd got it sorted as sometimes it can take me 15 mins of banging it about to get it open. Interesting to see it's a common problem.

I think the sleepover one is rear facing but I didn't like the look of it as it looked more like a seat on wheels rather than a pram but i've never owned one so I may be wrong and it's fab!

ds had a mothercare pram £250 and it was navy but we took two back within 3months as the wheel was buckled on one and the chasis went on the othe i mean he was so small it couldnt be said wear and tear!! so we reserved the jeep pram from argos, really we havent had much luck with prams lol

I have it in this colour.

If money was no object i'd get this just because it looks nice in pram mode, I'm not sure about it in pushchair mode though!

I saw a woman with one at school last week. Or rather I heard her. It rattled!

I have it, I'm not a pushchair person I prefer to sling but I have a bad back and need it for other people to use. It's really good, it's a nice pusher so even I can do it for short distances. It's easy to change the position on it.

If you get it at Babies 'R' Us there is quite a bit of money off at the moment, we paid over £100 less than the seperate price of the chair and carseat.

I have a 3D and I've been very pleased with it. It is a little heavy to push but coped fine going through all that snow. Ds was out of the pram bit by 9 or 10wks but he's quite long. I got it off eBay for £200 with the car seat in immaculate condition. The lady selling it had ordered another pram for her DD but it didn't come in for 4mths so she got the 3D in the mean time!

I had ordered myself a silver cross freeway which looked lovely and people had recommended it to me. unfortunately I have had to cancel my order as the frame would never fit into the boot of my car (VW Plolo) I have now bought a Quinny Buzz 4 which looks fab can't wait until baby comes along(June) so I can try it out

I know that doesn't help with your choice of 3D but I have heard a few bad reviews of the 3D
