Isn't it about being ill?

Am presuming this is a piss take! You never know with Mumsnet

Ah sorry cross post! It is possibly one of the most dreaful names I have ever heard and would forever conjure up visions of green puke.
{I wouldn't have been so honest if you hadn't said it wasn't you considering it!)

Billy is good, but bilious has other meanings

What was she planning to call the other one?
Nauseous?

Report
Buckets · 05/01/2008 18:28

It's a bit like Milena which sounds beautiful but means 'blood in faeces.'

If it wasn't a pisstake, I am not sure how you responded with a straight face.

Whatever next?

She has been on mn and read all the threads about names.

She's sounding everyone out with bad names so that when she announces the birth of Flatulina and Arsehole no one is horrified surprised. Her plan will fail.

Bilious & Nauseous have both been used as names on Up Pompeii. Perhaps she heard it there & didn't realise the joke?

If you think that is a good one, listen to this. A Brazilian friend of mine was intending on calling her DD Clitoris until I pointed out what it was. She thought it just sounded like a lovely name.

No, that was Vaginica - an equally delightful name!

bilious means to feel sick/queasy: so name your child this at your own peril!

Should be spelt Bileeuz'z. More interesting.
