Call your MW. You need to get your blood pressure checked.

I'm pretty sure this is something you need to get checked out urgently. Hope you're ok.

I had this and was fine, so don't stress, but as others have said get BP checked. Good luck! :)

Could also be anaemia so get your iron checked too.

Oh thank you girls I thought you's were going to say I'm cracking up!!! Also my heart is going quite fast and I feel a little breathless. It's been quite bad last two nights if I lay on my back or left side I'm breathless so can only sleep on my right side!

I'm 24 weeks and exactly the same. I'm signed off work due to the general flakiness, faintness and breathlessness. Get checked out but im sure it's nothing sinister. x

I had this in both pregnancies. For me it was low blood pressure, my BP always runs low but particularly when I'm expecting.

17+3 here, have been having it too - it was low blood pressure. Call your midwife and arrange to get it checked!

Call your GP and get checked. It could be a sign of pre-eclampsia which needs to be treated urgently as others have said-- the other big sign is elevated blood pressure and / or protein in the urine. If you are having any upper abdomen pain, go straight the A&E.

Hope its just one of those things and you are totally fine but its not something to mess around with.

As opposed have said get blood pressure checked. I had this with both of my pregnancies and passed out due to it.

This was the only symptom I had of pre eclampsia.
I didn't get the headaches and my blood pressure was fine until the moment I went into labour.
because I answered no to the other pre eclampsia warning sign questions no one asked me if I was seeing glitter, and I didn't think to mention it. So the subsequent drama was a bit of a surprise.

Report
Nikki2ol6 · 05/09/2016 16:34

So you see glitter all the time with these issues or just occasionally?

Occasionally for me.
I thought it pretty and enjoyed it. And never thought to mention it. Silly me!

Get BP checked asap op. This is either pih or pre eclampsia. Needs sorting sharpish. Call your MW as soon as you can

BP & B12 levels checked would be sensible

Report
ButtMuncher · 05/09/2016 16:45

Iron levels too.

Please get it checked out - I had this but low blood pressure - 100/58 Shock

That glitter you see can also be described as 'floaters' as the pretty patterns appear to float across your vision. Mine weren't blood pressure related but caused by a detached retina (the detachment might have been related to BP though, I forget). Anyway it wasn't anything to be worried about, all sorted itself out but yes do get yourself checked out asap.

Low blood pressure. Glad you're going to check with your midwife.

Disclaimer: I haven't been pregnant but recognise symptoms of very low blood pressure as I have this. Saw this flag up in active.

That's interesting, I had weird floaters in my vision today briefly for the first time. I'm 40 weeks and it didn't occur to me to be concerned about them, maybe I should let the midwife know...
My BP is always low, maybe related, 100/58 wouldn't even warrant a raised eyebrow from my midwife! I've been consistently at 100/60 or thereabouts through the whole pregnancy and before was rarely over 110/65 at pill checks. Since it doesn't cause me a problem it's not a concern to anyone, if it made me faint that would be different!
Errm so after that ramble about myself I concur with other posters, talk to your midwife (pick up the phone and call now, don't wait for the next appointment) - they will tell you what to do next.

Been to see the GP, blood pressure perfect, pulse 114, oxygen levels great lungs clear. Urine came back fine. Temp normal. He has no idea! He sent my urine off to be checked properly though

Did he organise a blood test for iron levels? If not, get yourself some spatone or other otc iron supplement and start taking it.

Report
isthatpoisontoo · 06/09/2016 10:33

I had this a lot, midwife checked iron and B12 levels, both were low. I get it a lot less after a couple of weeks of iron tablets. So push your GP to do bloods, too.

WuTangFlan · 06/09/2016 10:35

Second the spatone suggestion.
