Ladies, when did your innie become an outie?

28 weeks and my bellybutton is showing no signs of budging. I know it's weird but I've been looking forward to it. So - when did yours go? Anyone whose bellybutton never went?

Ooh, and does it hurt?!

Mine never went with either of my pregnancies!

It was teetering on the brink at the end of my 1st pregnancy, but I was 42 weeks by then!

Mine did last week I think, I am 26 weeks on Monday.
DD calls it a jellybean now and DP just thinks is weird, how nice
I dont know if or when it popped with DD but I know by the end I had no bellybutton really

i have the deepest belly button possibly in the world (i can get 2/3rds of my little finger in my belly button) and needless to say it never bulged although the depth did decrease.

Its now back to being as innie as it ever was

Never did it. Thankfully!

Mine did with DS but I can't remember when, I have been pondering this just today as I noticed it has become much shallower in the last few days. I am sure it was much much later than this last time (am also 28 weeks), but I am a bit of a porker now a days.

It popped back fine last time and I sincerely hope it will again, outies freak me out a little bit!Mine is usually pretty deep.

I'm 37+6 and mine is still an innie and I hope it stays that way

At 36+5 mine is still an innie. However, when I laugh it becomes an outie. Dh pointed this out - I wouldn't have noticed.

Mine didn't pop out with first two pregnacies but pop out quite early with 3rd. It looks odd my 2 year old thinks that it's part of the baby

Mine never popped out with DS and hasn't popped out this time either (am 36 weeks now).

Thank God, I must say the popped out belly buttons always look really freaky to me!

When I was pregnant, there weren't any changes to my belly button, or maybe I just couldn't see with my big bump

Report
IWillNotNeverEatATomato · 31/07/2010 21:19

mine didn't pop out with either of my pregnancies,
it just became stretched and flat

Mine also never popped but went flat - I have read that it can be a sign of the baby being 'back to back', which unfortunately was the case with us. Am hoping for an outie this time (and an easier labour!).

Never, mine just got wider and flatter, there is hardly any depression there at all now.

MmeRedWhiteandBlueberry · 01/08/2010 13:09

I have never had an outie. At most, just a slight flattening on one side.

Threelittleducks · 01/08/2010 13:09

25 weeks and starting to feel flatter. Didn't pop last time, but worried it will this time.

Report
IWillNotNeverEatATomato · 01/08/2010 13:48

Beegey - I have never heard that a flat belly button means they will be back to back, this wasn't the case for me on either occasion.

Mine never went, thank goodness: was dreading it!

Sounds like I've been unlucky cos mine came out really early - about 20 weeks. I hate it and it makes a lump under my clothes. DH poked it and I went ape!
Hope it goes back in.

Mine only flattened with DD but at 31 weeks now it sort of pops in and out depending on how I'm sitting/standing. It's so sensitive though - dd calls it my 'baby button' and loves poking it but I can't stand the feeling
