YAY new thread!!
FEN i think like hmmsleep said the incubation period is 10-14days!
re the impetigo, ds1 got that as a baby and like your ds hmmsleep it took two lots of antibiotics and lots of cream to get it to go away, it was a PITA and yes it is highly contagious, i remember giong to a toddler group and a mum bringing her little boy that had it very badly, (this was after my ds had got rid of his) and i was
as it is easy to catch adn particularly if you have eczema or any other skin condition it can be a nightmare and my gp said no baby groups, or nursery etc whilst he had it, which was a total pain as i was studying for my degree at the time.
bunny hope you find some good clothes, for boys i would recomend h&m or hennes, they do lovely bits and saisburys the supermarket also had nice boys clothes the other day. mothercare is pricey for clothes i would say. boots is another good place to shop and often has offers on. or if you can find a tk max they sometimes have nice bits in. oh mackays or m&co as its called now i think? is another place good for baby clothes, my boys have always had loads from there courtesy of my mil who has one on her high st. and pumpkin patch do some cute stuff and if you catch them when they have a sale they are reasonably priced :)
miss merryn has suddlenly started to get her balance and will sit for a min or two! literally since yesterday!! she was sitting loads at toddlers this morning i was very impressed, i just kept a hand close to help her re balance if needed but she sat really well, tho tends to slump forwards if she is tired or wants to eat her feet
the poor thing is all full of phlegm tho and quite chesty, the dr says she is ok as i took her to get her checked as she had a horrible wheez.
i mentioned her small milk intake and the dr said ' well is she filling up on solids or baby juice' i was like umm NO she is only just 5 mths and doesnt have anything other than formula, she was the suprised at how big she was on her milk alone but said she is obviously fit and healthy so not to worry :) tho when she only has 20oz over a day that is easier said than done! i do wonder how i will get formula into her once she is on solids? maybe she will still want her milk but i may find she reduced her milk intake but i know lots of other babies who have doen that and i know they are 'meant' to still have 20oz a day until they are one, i suspect that merryn may not, but as long as she is as happy adn content as she is i will just see how she goes and try and make milky puddings etc if i need to. tho why i am even thinking about it now when i have another month till she starts solids........
