Ds1 passed his karate exam...he is now officially an orange belt Smile

Took them both to the school fayre/farmers market beforehand. ds1 didnt want to go in and see santa in his grotto but toby did....

santa: "have you been a good boy toby?"
toby: "NO!"

sigh.........

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 11/12/2010 14:14

Hurrah for the bfp Carrie, what wonderful news Grin

Another hurrah for Bec's ds1 passing his exam.

We don't get lots of no's here, M just chooses to ignore me if he doesn't want to do or say what I am asking him to do - it drives me bloody batty.

Saying that we went to a cafe today for lunch and he was an absolute delight. He sat in a normal chair and we just had a lovely chat and he ate really well and delighted the waitress 'juice please lady'.

well done minibecaroodolf - I must change to my christmas name

Puit the tree up today - it looks lovely. Maebh said it was beautiful Grin There are more things made by the kids every year Grin. Also bought some nice individual baubles in the sales last year.

We get a lot of ME do it usually followed by My By Self (which sounds soo sweeet.

Pacita · 11/12/2010 21:57

Don't mess with little beccaroodolf!

I'm bookmarking too.

On my boring behavioural and food concerns with diego, let me tell you that despite the anally retentive organic and vegetable rich diet his neurotic mum tries to enforce, today Diego has decided that we would, not just eat, but gorge, on sausage, chips, Hmm ketchupHmm and cake. Ok in my defence, the cake is home made with wholemeal flour and oats and raisins and pumpkin puree, but still. He pretty much told me to stuff those tangerines where the sun don't shine.

Toddlers, huh?

posting with my new name Xmas Grin

Have finally written some Christmas cards, but as I haven't addresses the envelopes it's still hit or miss as to whether I manage to send them (my usual trick)>

How rubbish I am is demonstrated by the fact that I haven't actually received any through the post yet Xmas Blush

becaroodolf · 12/12/2010 13:23

I havent had many either yet ninja Maybe its the PO behind with the post after all the bad weather and it not that nobody loves me? Sad Smile

Love the xmas namechange btw! Grin

Toby has distinguished himself this moring by;
throwing all his stuffed toys down the stairs
scribbling pen all over the toybox in the front room
detroying his "mr potato head" toy
found the "secret" (large) bag of (large) choc buttons and scoffed at least half the bag by the time we realised

And that was before noon! sigh.

dh has taken him and ds1 to his mums for a bit before I lose the plot Grin

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 12/12/2010 14:11

Sorry for quick in and out but dealing with a DP who thinks a messy house with a toddler is 'not normal' Xmas Hmm

Just had to pop in to say having cracked weeing, C did her first 3 poos on her potty today! She has been quite reluctant and we have had a couple of poos in knickers but I encouraged her to sit and she, well, shi.... Xmas Grin
Yay yay yay!

Now just need to crack out and about. Have to carry potty with us everywhere as she refuses to sit on toilet. So many people were laughing yesterday as she carried her bright yellow potty through the crowds of people at a large xmas market towards the toilets. She doesn't care but I was a bit Xmas Biscuit

Tonight there are 6 familes (18 of us) having tea in a chinese restaurant. First time everyone from baby cafe are eating out together with partners and children. Quite excited, provided C doesnt pee all over the place Xmas Smile

Well done mrsA! (and C obviously!) We have the travel potty which also doubles as a loo seat. Its brilliant and discreet. And Boots sell the liners.
Love ninja's name change!
Have no inspiration for a festive change...ideas?! carrieneedsanextrashotinhercappuccino perhaps?!!!

testing my Xmas name....

Megletitsnow · 12/12/2010 20:23

.....it works! It was the only one I could think of and I was amused by the way it made a rude word in the middle Grin. So I stuck with it.

MrsA C has done so well! You are giving me hope that I can train DD in the spring.

My zombie / snowmageddon plan is going well. My tiny kitchen cupboards / fridge & freezer are full and I'm going to order store cupboard food / loo rolls / laundry liquid on this weeks shop and stash it in the loft.

DebiTheScot · 12/12/2010 21:14

Love the title too.

Well done C

Good plan meg

ninja I wrote most of the cards about 2 weeks ago and dh is sitting next to me now writing addresses on them while I mn & facebook look for addresses of a few I have on email.

ninjinglebells · 12/12/2010 21:54

MrsA you can get a portable potty - I'll see if I can find it

ninjinglebells · 12/12/2010 21:55

here you go

Kagey · 13/12/2010 10:10

Congrats Carrie that is fabulous news!

The thread title is quite apt here too, but E usually says 'Noooooo, my do it, my do it!'. She is certainly a feisty little madam at times.

Debs75 · 13/12/2010 10:56

Not been on for a while so trying to catch up.
carrie I take it a baby is on the way? Congratulations, good things always come to those who wait, and SWI furiouslyXmas Grin

Mrsa great news on the potty training. we are hoping to try with Robyn in the spring.

Robyn is a bit ME, ME, ME. She also gets a bit jealous and will grab toys and shout MINE if ds goes near her

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 13/12/2010 10:59

Thanks for the links ladies - we already have the Potette Plus travel potty but she refuses to use it as a potty as the liners crinkle and put her off. She is such a sensitive soul Xmas Hmm

BUT we had a breakthrough last night as we had a FAB time at the chinese restaurant - 18 of us, including six 2 year olds, tucking into a help yourself buffet. C adored the starters and I also got her king prawns and noodles done on the tepanyaki grill which she loved. The chocolate cake and ice cream for pud was a hit too, funny that Xmas Grin. The staff were great and charged us a flat £3 a head for the toddlers. I had 2 glasses of wine and the bill for me, DP and C was only £36! We all ignored the funny looks one family with older kids were giving us (How very dare they bring toddlers into a restaurant between 5 and 7pm!!).

I digress - C asked for 2 wees while we were there and I took her to the loo with the potette and used it as a little toilet seat on the main toilet seat and as she had no choice as I didn't bring the big potty, she sat on it and weed twice! Was soooo proud of her. She came back to the table shouting Yar yar (Charlotte) done wee wee on toilet!

I think we've just been really lucky that she just seemed to get it and within a week she's now only in nappies at night. I know a lot of people use pull ups. We haven't as her key worker at nursery said she wouldn't bother using them as children often understand better if they can feel their knickers are wet etc.

Have a good week all.

MrsArchchancellorRidcully · 13/12/2010 11:03

Oh and DP and i cried laughing yesterday as C got her little set of Mummy pg, daddy pig, peppa and george and sat them down to feed them.... sausages Xmas Grin

Debs C is also highly protective of her toys and the poor cat is often shooed roughly away if he dares go anywhere near (No Basil NO!!)

lollyheart · 13/12/2010 11:31

Thats funny mrsa

when we went to a farm a few months back whilst looking at the pigs my dd said in a loud voice " I can smell ham" Xmas Grin

Af got me last night Sad i need to convince dh that a 4th child is a great idea, i think he is slowing coming round to the idea tho.
