This thread is for the members of the MN research panel who have taken part in the school uniform test for Trutex. Thank you for taking part - please add your feedback once your child has worn the garments and when you have washed them at least once. Each tester was able to select a shirt/blouse, a jumper/cardigan and a skirt/shorts or trousers in the colour of their choice.

Below are some questions to get you started but please feel free to add other comments too. Everyone who adds their feedback on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get a £200 John Lewis voucher.

Please state the age and gender of your child in replying and if possible the item(s) you're referring to.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike?
Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child?
Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform?
Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not?
Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life?

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike?
I thought the caridgan and blouses were really good quality, they looked hardwearing and were quite heavy fabric. The cherry trousers, while a nice design, looked a bit flimsy, like they wouldn't do much to keep DD warm in winter.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child?
The sizing was perfect, but then I have a very average for her age DD. I find ASDA and TESCO unifom tends to swamp her a bit, while M&S comes up small.

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform?
Typically, DD loved the trousers and has opted to wear them every day (even in the heat) so although I thought they would be no good, she thought they were the best thing.

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not?
I would say as goos as M&S, better than the supermarkets cheaper stuff.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life?
I wash on a 30 cycle and the uniform has come up nice and clean. No bobbling yet, either.

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again?
I have to buy more of the trousers for DD so yes. DD prefers a 3/4 length blouse and I find them easier to care for, but would buy Trutex again. The cardi was lovely but DD has to have a school issue maroon one next year.

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children?
Yes, as long as they were easy to obtain, as living in a rural area sourcing good quality, affordable uniform can be a pain. I am never organised enough to ndo it in June/July and it is usually all gone by the last week in August when I go shopping.

Q1) First impressions were overall good. Jumper felt thick and trousers and shirt of good quality materials.

Q2) Sizing was good and fit my DSS well (he's an awkward shape that most 11-12 year olds are). No alterations needed on the trousers which is what I usually have to do before he can wear them. Can only think the jumper sleeves could have been a tad longer.

Q3) Overall, he loved the uniform. Commented on how warm the jumper was. (may have been an idea to test drive the jumper during the winter months though and not summer!) He said the neck size was good and didn't choke him like his usual shirts Blush

Q4) I normally buy M&S school uniform which I've always felt, offered quality at an affordable price. I am unsure how much the Trutex uniform measures up in price against the M&S ones as I don't know how much the Trutex one costs.

Q5) All items stood up to being washed every day (he's a boy hence the frequent washing). Minor pilling on the jumper but nothing too noticeable. Shirt were great but creased slightly more than the cheaper versions. Not sure if this is because the cotton was of better quality? I dried on the line and in the tumble drier.

Day to day wear, they were great. He still has knees in the trousers! Zip was sturdy (sounds weird, but he always manages to break them). Shirts still looked new after 3 weeks of constant wash and wear.

Q6) I would most definitely buy Trutex again as long as it was within my budget.

Q7) I have already recommended Trutex to my friends!

Thanks for including me in this trial. Smile

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike?

I thought that the material was of very good quality. The trousers particularly were nice and thick, so felt like they'd be warm in the winter. The shirts were cut well, and also of good quality.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child?

I ordered my very tall 10 year old DS the age 11 trousers for the length. The length was great, but they were far too big around the waist. He did wear them with a belt, but tbh I tend to only buy trousers for him with an adjustable waistband. I actually think that uniform trousers need an adjustable waistband, just because children grow at such different rates.

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform?

He liked it, and apart from the waistband issue it was a very good fit. The shirts were of a good length, as was the jumper.

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not?

I thought it was excellent quality material wise. Unfortunately, the stitching at the crotch of the trousers was loose after one wash. I noticed as I was hanging it out on the line. The stitching hadn't been finished properly, which was a real shame as it let down the quality feel of the uniform.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life?

See above. Everything washed well and kept it's shape. I was also quite impressed that the jumper didn't bobble five minutes after being worn.

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again?

I would, as long as the stitching issue was a one off. I'd definitely buy the school shirts. However, I've never heard of the brand before and I have no idea where I could buy it.

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children?

Yes.

My DS (10) tried the trousers, blue short sleeved shirts and a grey jumper, all size 11.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike?
Quality appeared very good, especially the cardigan and the shirts. Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child?
The trousers look good but were a little large for my daughter who is very slim! The shirts fitted quite well although were a little big around the collar. The cardigan fitted well

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform?
She likes the trousers but they are a bit big on the waist. She also likes the shirts very much, especially as they are short sleeved, but hasn't needed the cardigan very much.
Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not? The quality seems very good, and equals M & S and Debenhams, whilst exceeding tescos.
Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life? The uniform appears to be bearingup very well, especially the shirts which have beenn worn daily. The trousers have been worn less as she has been weearing a skirt most days ( and we have to have a specific style so couldn't order the Trutex skirt).
Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again? Yes, definitely, especially the skirts, and the trousers would fit with their uniform policay, as long as she grows out a bit!
Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children? Absolutely yes. Where will they be sold?

Q1 Trousers- First thing I noticed was the colour. DD's school uniform requires navy trousers but these looked more greyish. The tag said navy and there were navy cherries embroidered on the top of the trousers which just showed the difference in colour more clearly. DD wore these to school and there was a definite contrast between her trousers and her classmates. Second thing was the cut which looked odd on DD (6). The trousers had a higher waist than her current sainsbury's uniform, have no button at the front (which she likes to have) The material was also different from the shiny material of her current trousers which she didnt like- a soft jersey feel to it.

Cardigan- Didn't like the wide ribbing around the wrists and waist as I think this encourages things to go out of shape faster. Ribbing also acts as lots of tiny little pockets for food/art materials/dirt. Also DD doesnt like clothes that cling. However I did like the thickness of the material, felt very warm and like it was a good quality and expensive jumper.

Shirts- Felt like every other shirt DD has.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child?

Improvements- move the label at the front of the trousers which annoyed DD all day as it tickled her belly and thighs. Make the trousers NAVY! Adjustable waists please- DD has size 8 legs and size 5 belly and she could only wear these once as they kept slipping down. Remove the ribbing from the cardigan or at least reduce it.

Sizing and fit-good. DD wears 7-8 in jumpers and 8 trousers and they all fitted well. However I didnt like the fact that on the shirts it went by chest measurement rather than age.

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform?

DD hated the trousers, the material, the colour (she stood out amongst her classmates), the label in the wrong place and the fact they kept slipping down. She has no opinion on the shirts but she said the jumpers itched and 'gripped' her wrists which she didnt like.

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not?

Felt like good quality at first, especially the cardigan which is much thicker than the cardigans we usually buy from M&S.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life?

Trousers- She only wore them once but I did see that the knees were bagging already. Washed fine.

Cardigan- First day she came out with food encrusted into the ribbing on her sleeves. With her other cardigans I can often sponge out a small stain or mark so she can wear it again, but this was too far into the ribbing. Having washed it the ribbing has made it an odd shape which makes it harder to hang on an airer than her other cardigans. The button strip down the front has also bunched up, so it needs ironing before wearing again (this is NOT GOOD!). The colour is good and hasnt faded as quickly as her other jumpers.

Shirts- no difference noticed here.

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again?

NO. DD didnt like it and it made her stand out from her friends. I didnt like the fit/how it washed.

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children?

No. Several of her friends mum's remarked negatively on the colour and fit of her trousers and asked me where on earth I had got them from, and reported similar experiences with the brand. General impression is that Trutex are out of touch, old-fashioned and impractical.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike? Looked good quality and well made.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child? I liked it. The trousers were too long, but as DS is growing like a weed at the moment, I turned them up and they hang really well. The sizing is a little confusing.

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform? He likes the shirts - thinks they're a bit thick for summer but will like them in the winter. He likes the fit around the collar. He thinks the trousers look "well smart"[sic].

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not? I think it's excellent quality. I normally buy supermarket brands, but am thinking about upgrading on this.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life? Washes really well. I wash the shirts on 60 degrees and they come up beautifully white with no pilling on them. The trousers don't need ironing if folded directly from the tumble dryer. They have also survived a 12 year old boy remarkably well.

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again? I think I would if there was a stockist nearby.

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children? Probably.

Thanks for including me in the trial.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike?Dd is 8 I asked for and received skirt shirts and a sweater in size seven because she is small. First impression was that the quality was a good standard, no loose buttons or wonky seams.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child? Because dd doesn't have to wear a tie I would have preferred the shirt collars to be softer and rounded. The sizes were great, the waist on the skirt fit (usually too big) and the sleeves weren't too long. I ordered age 7 and it was a good fit for my small dd aged 8.

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform? Dd loves the skirt in particular, the cherry detail appeals and it's more comfortable because it's not an adjustable waist (big thumbs up here)

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not? It is far superior to the supermarket uniform and a much better fit and noticeably better quality than M&S and John Lewis.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life?It washes like a dream, dries quickly and needs minimum ironing. Dd has a habit of picking at any loose threads which soon become holes. As yet the sweater is fully intact as the standard of finish is high.

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again? Yes I would in fact have ordered online another skirt a cardigan and we are going to try the trousers because the waist is good on the skirt.

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children? I already have as dd's friend wanted a skirt the same so have given her mum the online site I have used.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike? Loved the feel of the shorts, great quality and the lining made them look especially hard wearing. Jumper looked smart and the shirts looked and felt like all the rest to be honest.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child? The shorts were a bit too long in the leg, they looked 'cool' as DS put it but not especially smart, the waist size was perfect, which is usually our main problem for skinny DS. The shirts fit fine, but I think the collar could do with being a bit softer for the younger age groups. Jumper was perfect.

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform? He thinks the shorts are 'cool' and comfortable, he thought the shirt collar was too stiff and has no opinion on the jumper.

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not? The shorts are much better quality than any of the others we've tried, very impressed with these. The jumper and shirt seem to be no better or worse than some of the other big brands though.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life? All the items have washed and tumble dried well and still look as new and that is despite my 5 year old rolling all over the classroom/playground and biting the sleeves of his jumper.

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again? I will definitely buy the shorts again next year!

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children? Definitely, I have already recommended the shorts to several friends.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike?

First impressions were that this was good quality uniform, I could really tell the difference in quality compared to the uniform I normally buy for my DS.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child?

I don't think there's much of anything that could be improved really apart from perhaps having a belt with the trousers.

The uniform I ordered for my son fit him very well which is unusual as when I get it online without checking it against my son's frame, it tends to either be too big or too small so this was a nice surprise. It will definitely make ordering it easier in future!

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform?

My son loves this uniform. He's done all his usual activities such as playing football at break time in school and they haven't worn out at the knees or frayed at the hem as his usual uniform does, so he loves knowing he's not going to get the evil look of doom from me for wrecking a new pair of trousers Grin

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not?

It is far superior to the cheaper, shop's own brands that I usually buy. The uniform I usually buy falls apart pretty quickly and I have to admit, I was expecting the same of the Trutex one so when it didn't, I was a very happy mum.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life?

In day-to-day school life, this uniform has held up against everything my son can throw at it, it doesn't stain as badly as cheaper uniforms and it hasn't begun to fray on the seams and hems. On the downside though, the collar on one of the shirts, for some unknown reason, went spotty after washing it a couple of times. I don't use cheap washing powder so I don't think that's the cause.

Other than that though, they haven't stretched, shrunk or started going grey which is a huge bonus. It's also really easy to keep it looking as though it's brand new because it doesn't crease up in the wash like other uniforms do.

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again?

Absolutely. It's more expensive in my area, but I think the extra cost is worth it considering how well it's held up against a small boy going nuts in it!

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children?

I would absolutely recommend Trutex to my friends. No other uniform my son has had, has measured up to the demands he places on them as well as this one has.

Thank you for including me in this trial Smile

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike?

I was very pleased to see that the trousers didn't have buttons as my ds struggles with them and M&S trousers all seem to have buttons in the larger sizes.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child?

They sizing was all fine. The trousers were on the big side but this was okay because the elasticated waist meant that they stayed up! My ds prefers comfy trousers to fitted ones, so they were ideal. However the hems at the bottom of the trousers both had come down within the first week which made them look scruffy. I'm no good at sewing so would have made a mess at sewing them up again.

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform?
He likes it because it's comfortable and is very pleased at having no buttons on the trousers.

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not?
I don't think it's as good quality as all of the uniform I usually get from M&S. I buy the non-iron trousers and shirts usually, so I could notice the difference after they were washed as the trutex uniform needed a good ironing.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life?
I think it seems hardwearing though it needs to be well ironed. The fabric of the trousers is nice and thick.

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again?
Yes - I liked that the trousers had no buttons. I also really liked the jumper.

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children?
yes in certain aspects. No buttons on the trousers and elasticated waist, nice comfortable jumper.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike?
Thought the quality seemed very good. Thick material for trousers and jumper.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child?
Trousers were a little big on my sons waist and shirts were quite long.
Found the sizing quite difficult to judge when ordering but everything is wearable.

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform? He likes the shirts, isnt keen on wearing the belt for the trousers as he likes them quite low slung!
Hasnt worn the jumper for school but has happily worn it outside of school.

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not?
It is comparable to the better quality brands such as M&S, John Lewis. Definately better quality than some of the supermarket brands

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life?
So far so good. No bobbling or fading

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again
Yes I have already looked online and prices are quite reasonable, just need to make the sizing abit easier to work out please.

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children?

Yes but would be nice to know what retailers stock it.

My 9 year old son liked the uniform, although the trousers came up quite wide (I would have liked adjustable elastic ) and I had to turn up the bottoms even though it was age 7-8 and he's nearly 10!(he is very small for his age, but not age 5-6 small).
The fabric is holding up well to football scrapes and mud, still coming clean.
The jumper is a bit thin, and the sleeves were very long, but the shirt fit well, although I had to turn the cuffs over.
Overall, the quality was good, and I would buy them if I had a local stockist.

DD1 is 5.5y, 117cm, 20kg with a 56cm chest/waist.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike?
Liked the detail on the skirt - very cute, and the cardigan was plain but had a nice scalloped edge so still looked pretty.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child?

The skirt was a fantastic fit with a nice long length to the skirt (we ordered 6-7y) so it actually reached her knees but didn't gape at the waist.

The short sleeve blouses are so massive across the chest to the point DD1 refused to wear them but they were a very good length and the cut was good (curved in towards the waist) but she could have done with it being 3 or 4 inches smaller width-wise. The fabric felt nice a soft and they were a lightweight that was suitable for the summer. We ordered a 6-7 size.

The cardigan is a good fit all round. Again in 6-7 size.

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform?

DD1 loves the skirt and finds it very comfortable. The front kick pleat gives her lots of room to run in unlike some school skirts so she enjoys wearing it. She loves the smiley cherry on the waist band - she thinks it's a friendly skirt.
The cardigan she like but hasn't worn it much due to the weather.

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not?

I definitely think the skirt is great quality and would definitely buy in the future. It's certainly better quality fabric than other skirts she's had and is a good weight for all year round.

The blouses appear to be good quality if overlarge for DD1 and the cardigan seems like it would last the year without falling apart.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life?

The skirt washes really well and it comes out of the tumble drier in perfect condition - no need to iron.

Haven't washed the blouses as they are too big but think they would wash well given the fabric.

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again?

Yes.

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children?

Had a mum friend ask where we got DD1's skirt from as it was knee length (most uniform seems to end up a few inches above the knee on our tall girls!) so I recommended Trutex to her. Will do so again.

My DD is 6 but tall and slim - 124cm and 3st 9lb.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike?

I thought the skirt looked pretty although the material was a bit thin, and the cardigan was lovely. The blouses are fine too.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments?
How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child?

The cardigan fitted well and looked great. The skirt was a bit short on her but still wearable. We haven't worn the blouses much because of the weather but they seem on the generous size.

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform?

Loves the skirt and the cardigan, not keen on the blouse (but she is not keen on any blouse with a stiff colour so that's her not the product!)

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not?

I like the way both the skirt and the cardigan have washed. My DD gets quite dirty so we are heavy on clothes but they are still looking good. My only concern is that the skirt material looks quite thin for the colder weather.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life?

It seems to be able to take most things DD throws at it admirably! It has washed well and still looks in good shape. I like it.

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again?

This would depend on availability and price to be honest. I would be happy to if it were priced like, say, M and S but I have no idea at what price point it comes in.

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children?

Yes I would.

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike? first impressions - the cherry trousers are just the kind my dd likes to wear. I couldn't get too keen on the poly cotton shirts simply because I prefer 100% cotton.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child? Sizes were a perfect fit for my 11 year old - pretty rare to get a good fit first time ime so full marks for fit from me

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform? My dd doesn't like the style of blouse - too formal looking for her and her uniform is a more relaxed polo shirt. The cherry trousers however are her favourite trousers and I have already ordered 2 more pairs and returned the M&S trousers I had bought already for next term.

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not?
Quality is noticeably better than the supermarkets and M&S in my view

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life? Standing up to washing much better than supermarket brands. I usually iron everything to make it look nicer, but haven't needed to iron the trousers.

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again? I already have! Annoyingly my dd's new secondary school has polo shirts and sweatshirts that you are obliged to buy from them with their logos on - but we will be sticking with the trousers from Trutex.

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children?
Definitely. Cheaper uniform doesn't wear as well and doesn't look as nice either. Having experimented with supermarket brands they are not for me.

It was good to be on this trial as otherwise I would never have tried this brand. I don't know if there are any local stockists but I have bought my new pairs of trousers online, confident that they will fit!

I think it would be nice to have a 100% cotton option for shirts as I would never choose to buy polycotton shirts.

Q1- I was impressed with the quality of the clothing , the trousers were nice and soft and not a tight cut and the cardigan was lovely and soft. The blouses seemed a bit thicker than my daughters usual ones( M and S or BHS).

Q2 -The sizing was good on both the trousers and the cardigan but the blouses were too big.( Daniel at Trutex was very kind and sent me replacements and told me to keep the too big ones and pass them on to someone who could use them)

Q3- My daughter said she would have preferred it if the trousers had an adjustable waist. She prefers blouses with shorter more like cap sleeves as this is what most of the teenagers at her school wear. She loves the cardigan.

Q4- The quality is definitely better than the supermarkets and probably a bit better than Marks and Spencer.

Q5- It is washing well, I noticed it said do not tumble dry the trousers but I have done and they are fine. When I am looking to buy uniform I prefer to buy non iron tumble dry clothes. If it can be tumbled it would be better to say that.

Q6- We would buy the cardigan and trousers again but not the shirts due to the sleeve style issue.

Q7- Yes I would recommend it as it is better than average quality.

I think we all missed age and gender, we were so keen to leave feedback!

Girl, age 9 going on 15 (hence the importance of style).

Q1 What were your first impressions of the uniform? What did you like/dislike?
First impressions were good, I liked the cherry logo on the trousers.

Q2 Is there anything you think could be improved about any of the garments? How did you find the sizes? Did the garments you ordered fit your child?
The trousers were a bit snug on my dd. I ordered a size 8 which normally fits, the length was good on the trousers though. The jumper and shirts fitted well.

Q3 What does your child think of their new uniform? She especially liked the trousers and their cherry design.

Q4 What do you think of the quality of the uniform? Do you think it is better quality than other brands/retailers you've bought or not? I think it's really good quality actually, better quality than Asda, but about the same quality as Next or M&S.

Q5 How do you feel the uniform is bearing up to washing? And to day-to-day school life? I think it's bearing up well, they wash very well, and so far dd has managed to rip the trousers or jumper (something she frequently does).

Q6 Do you think you would buy uniform from Trutex again?
Yes I would.

Q7 If it came up in conversation, do you think you would recommend Trutex uniform to your friends who have school-age children?
I already have.
