[Smile] Hi EV
why are you down?
anything we can do?

Morning to all

Having a pants day so far, going to the dentist for route canal drilling this afternoon, my digestive system is in a knot and I am trying very very hard not to be a horrible ogre, but my anxiety is getting the better of me.

will hopefully fly more tomorrow.

Hello to all. There are some new names on Wednesday's thread which I've skimmmed through and I'm waiting to spot some old regulars (sorry if that sounds wrong). My au pair went home last month so I can now come on the pc in the day without setting a bad example! Having said that, I'm still in my pjs so will get showered and dressed and then come back with a to do list.

Before I go, thanks for the thread EV and I'm sorry you're feeling fed up. Good luck with sorting out the spare room. I've got to get ours ready for our next ap due at the end of the month.

btpogs Good luck for this afternoon. I get that way with my digestive system due to feelings of anxiety, too. Not nice, is it?

Morning all

Simply hello Good to see you again.

EV, enjoy your cuppa with dh this morning, hope the fed up feelings pass. We're feeling house bound already this morning cos it's pouring atm so I am pretty grumpy and low too.
Skull good luck with the dentist, it's one of my anxiety triggers too so I know how you feel x x

We have no plans what-so-ever for today. The house is a state so what I really need is for someone to come and take the kids away for a couple of hours so I can Get On With Things. Not going to happen though. I think I'll ring round and see who we can find to come and play so the kids are at least entertained while I try to make some progress with all the picking up/putting away/washing/ironing/cleaning/hoovering/mopping which is long over-due!

Back later x

Morning all, althoug it feels like somewhere in the middle of the night.

A house alarm was going off at 4am and then DS1 was up 30 mins later as he wet the bed and he was awake.

So Morning routine done
Half the bedding in the washer - it went on the duvet again
I will have to use the dryer as it is peeing down again

To Do

Shop
Dry bedding
Make bed
Mission
Ring friend back

EV I know what you mean with two little ones, it gets a bit constant, espeically as the toddler groups are not on to keep them entertained. I hope you feel better after meeting DH

DH was supposed to be working from near home this week, but has had to go to a client 60 miles away today adn tomorrow, so no chance of early homes Although I know it pays the bills

Morning all

Lazy morning this morning - not even started routines yet as am absolutely exhausted. Still, plodding along with babysteps (now on Day 27) and the house is finally starting to look like less of a health and safety issue.

Done:
Put out rubbish & recycling box
Washing in washer

Essential to do list (as people coming for dinner tonight - thankfully I am not cooking!):
Morning routine
Clean bathroom
Mop kitchen floor
Vacuum

Would like to do list:
Post office to pick up parcel that was not delivered yesterday (even though I was in all day?)
Make list of things needed for BBQ (weather permitting) on Saturday
Start making lists of what I need to get/sort out/pack for holiday in 3 weeks (yay! )

Ok, had better start with some of it!

Thanks for the welcome. Good to see some posters I used to chat to.

Right. I'm showered and dressed. Here's a list to keep me focused.

Done:-
Showered and dressed
d/w on
w/m on
two beds stripped

To do:-
walk the dog
unload the d/w
put another load in the w/m
do the hand washing up
make a shopping list and see if I have to go shopping or if we can survive until tomorrow or Saturday

That'll do for now! Time for a cup of tea and toast.

Hello again

Done my stuff down in the next town. Got Ed a xmas pressy already (too cheap to leave) and a couple of bits for next week.

Ed has gone to play at a friend's house over the road so I am in a kidless house. Thing is I have no gumption to do anything and there's tons I could do. What am I like

Report
Simply · 07/08/2008 11:20

Hey grouchy I'm still here. I did (in my defence) get up from the chair to put my cup and plate in the d/w, remembered I needed to unload it first, then remembered that I've thought a hundred times to nosy on an estate agents website for a property (I'm not being snobby, it isn't a house but a smallholding) which is for sale near here so I've been doing that for a good 10 mins. The verdict is:- expensive, a nice few acres, the house needs a lot of work and more importantly, I'm sure dh wouldn't want to move! So....how about we both agree to go and do something and then report back at noon to see how the other has got on? I'll go and unload the d/w first and do the washing up and then I'll check to see if you've posted.

BiancaCastafiore · 07/08/2008 11:37

Grouchy I think sometimes it's Very Important when you have a childfree house to just sit and do nothing

Despite our best efforts, dd hasn't been able to find a friend who is willing or able to come and play this afternoon Ds is off to a friends hosue after lunch so dd and I have decided to go to a local pool which has a floatorama session as a treat

We are currently all lazing around watching Shrek 2 (we've already watched Shrek 1 this morning)

I have folded a pile of washing while watching the films so must earn FLY points for that

I hope your day goes well despite the setbacks BC.

How're you go?

Done:-
Showered and dressed
d/w on
w/m on
two beds stripped
unload the d/w
do the hand washing up
try on the two tops that came in the post today. One to return, one to keep if I can get used to the lime green colour!

To do:-
walk the dog
put another load in the w/m
write a shopping list
write a packing list for our hols in about 10 days

Hi Simply

I've tried checking a bank account online and I'd forgotten my password and we couldn't reset it and Ed came back and Ed went again and and and

I'm having a wonky donkey type of day. I feel spaced out and weird. Ho-hum

Report
Simply · 07/08/2008 12:33

I find that it's best for me to just go with it when it's a wonky donkey type of day. I plod along quietly with low expectations and by the end of the day it seems to have gone a bit better than it started out. So...to recap, I'll go with BC's suggestion for you to just sit and do nothing - if that's what takes your fancy. If it's any consolation, I'm pretty awful with passwords and dh does all my online banking for me. Tut, tut!

Hi everybody
Eustacia I hope you pick up soon. Hopefully, getting out for a cuppa will alleviate the feelings. I can't remember if you said you went to the library this week, but I find going there with LO gives me a bit of break and there are usually other parents in a similar holiday situation to talk to, if you feel so inclined.
Just a thought.
TMH I know how you feel with the no sleep. This cold has become a very annoying cough and I just couldn't get to sleep - ended up getting up again about 5AM and watching the Olympics channels. [eyes drooping emoticon]
Grouchy I phoned the helpline for my credit card and still can't get into my account after 20 minutes on the, very bad, line. The lady did tell me to have a good day three or four times, though.

This morning finally did
S&S bathroom done
5 minute room rescue - kitchen
wipe cupboards and fridge 10 mins done
hotspots 6 mins done
phone GP done
Phone credit card hotline - half done
vits and breakfast done
dressed er yes, wearing 'indoor' clothes

Afternoon routine
lifeplan 15 minutes
Dinner plan 10 mins
Continue with tiles aim to do 5 tiles

Evening
Evening routine hotspots,
try to sort out the big hash I have made of DP's short - waistband all wonky.
Read something for 15 minutes
No declutter today

good afternoon all, just a quick hello as I'm super busy today. New fridge and cooker arrived a couple of hours ago but they didn't fit the cooker!!! Nightmare, as if I know what I'm doing with electrical type stuff and oh isn't much better so fil going to do it tomorrow. Quite gutted as I was going to use it to make some shortbread while oh at footy this evening and a fried brekky for dinner!

Also washing lots of towels that were sat under old fridge freezer in living room last night, they're disgusting and I didn't think it would be too bad as the freezer part wasn't frozen but never mind.

Also, laying last bits of new floor while oh in town with lo again (hope he's not after a day off!!)

Bathroom needs a good clean so do that in a mo and EVERY pot, cup, mug, bowl, plate we own needs washing after oh had most of them storing things last night so he didn't lose them.

EV hope you're feeling ok again soon & had a nice cuppa with dh

rowing you sound like a busy bee today!!
Simply hello

Right, off to put down my last few floor tiles, self adhesive tiles are the way to go for sure!! soooooo easy to do with no help from oh apart from starting me off yesterday. ttfn xx

Report
rowingboat · 07/08/2008 13:44

lucys don't get desperate for shortbread and fit the cooker yourself! But if you do be and remember to wear rubber gloves and wellies.
Defrosting the freezer - poo isn't it!
I'll think of you when I'm cutting my tiles.

I'm taking advice and just going with the Wonky day

I've run and emptied the DW and put away, swept up compost round the porch, picked up after Ed and tidied his toys away and put a load in the WM

It's odd Ed not being here. He's having fun on the estate so I'll leave him to it
