Anyone done/doing lapbooking?

If so how do your DC like it and how do you use it/what projects do you use it for? I was thinking it would help the kids to remember things better in a fun way. Thinking of making one with DS 7 on planes and flight. Anybody got any ideas?

Hi, we've had a go at it & was quite pleased with it. We did one in the shape of a circle which we found on youtube or somewhere. We are just starting one on the human body & are making it in the shape of the human body & then are going to put the mini books into the shape of the organs & get them stick them in the right places on the body.
There's loads of free stuff on the WWW. What are you thinking of doing?

Doh you said planes. There is a site called hands of a child, I sometimes look at the sample pages just to get me started & a few ideas.

Hi Kayteee! Thank you chatterbocs that's just the thing! Have you had a look on homeschoolshare, there's lots of freebies on there.
www.homeschoolshare.com and then this site has all kinds of templates.www.homeschoolhelperonline.com/lapbooks

The hands of a child site also has a quarterly freebie aswell. I've downloaded some on ecosystems, galaxies, zebra's I think the free on at the mo is about Thomas Edison.

Fabulous chatterbocs, thanks! I love freebies, free is becoming my favourite word lately! Your human body LB sounds really good, You see that's what I mean...I would never have spontaneous thought of doing it that way (body shape) I'll get more ideas from the sites you recommended do you find they require lots of planning beforehand ie, layout and where to put pockets and things?

ISOLOvechocolate, I sympathise. In my case "On the brain" is the only place it's existed for years.... Hmm perhaps I should consider lapdancing after all....
