help with links!!!!!!

ok not sure if this is in the right place but.......how the hell do i link something on these threads???? if i wanted to add something from another website or create a link to another thread... where do i start?! i feel a bit thick.

the easiest way is type on either side of the link.

you put two open square brackets on each end of the link. Like below, but with two identical ones at each end. on my keyboard those are the brackets next to the P.

[http://www.mumsnet.com]

Which looks like this
www.mumsnet.com

If you want an advanced away you can leave a space after the link and put in a word or phrase.

Which looks like this
[http://www.mumsnet.com my link]
my link

it tells you how to do it on the right hand side of the box that you type your message in

or

there is a thread somewhere(hopefully MN classics) called Links you are my nemesis where someone had a similar problem (although i think that was before they changed how to do it and it really was tricky!!)

lol. i have been looking for nearly a year how to do it! i have clicked on so many things on mn trying to find instructions for it and it was right there the whole time, i feel even more thick now! thank you very very much guys, i appreciate you all humouring me!
