what do i ask gp for?

i am currently on citalopram, have been taking them for almost 18months. i have 5yr and almost 2yr old. i am not coping at all at the moment and i know i need to go and ask for help, but what is he likely to say - and what should i be asking for?

Tell himwhat you have just said - that you are not coping at all at the moment. Tell him what you mean by not coping.....give examples and let him decide the best way to assist you

i've just taken the first step and phoned to get an appointment - on friday. what do you think he might suggest i try if the pills alone aren't doing the job?

Depends what the nature of your difficulty is.....maybe a change of meds, possible therapy, like CBT. Well done for making the appointment
