Experience of ssris

Specifically venlafaxine. I am not convinved this is working for me but been on so many different types over the years I am scared I cannot be helped. Mostly been on those safe for pregnancy and breastfeeding over the years such as citalopram. But now no pregnancies planned for quite a while so put on this but still very very depressed and too embarrassed to tell dr that yet another isn't doing the trick.

sorry you haven't had much luck yet with treatment, have been on venlafaxine (and many others) and it did work for me but unfortunately had to stop as it triggered other problems - have you been on it long? I suppose am wondering whether you are on a starting dose or if you have worked up to a therapeutic amount yet.
