Seroxat (Paroxetine) effect on Baby when Breastfeeding

I've just been prescribed Paroetine by my very helpful GP for a bout of PN Depression. It has worked a treat for me very quickly (I'm on 10mg aday) but practically since starting taking my 7,5 week old son has become REALLY sleepy. Sleeping through the night from waking every 3 hours and sleeping ALL day - just waking for feeds. Very little alert time and when he is alert - it is in a sleepy way. Has anyone else had this sort of symptom with Paroxetine or any other AD??
Many thanks

I don't think they'd prescribe it if it wasn't safe iyswim. But my brother had a terrible time trying to come off seroxat. I'm pretty sure he was in a much higher dose than that but make sure you do go back to your GP regularly so he can review things. I was on citalopram for a short time when pg with dd and I was told that it was safe when bf.

I've just seen my GP and he has reasurred me that this side effect should wear of on my son.
He was back to his 3 hourly feeds last night so I'll see how he is over the w/e and go back if there is no improvement.
Thanks for your comment
