Not exactly sure WHAT the issue is here, but I do know I didnt used to feel like this.

Sometimes when something comes up, and I need to be doing something...(right now its getting ready to go camping) I can't do ANYTHING at all. It's like my brains handbreak comes on and I just think "Hmm cant think straight, shit should be getting ready, etc etc"

and it makes me feel quite ill the fact im NOT doing whatever im doing but I stil cant get myself together enough to do it

Whats that all about then?

Not sure but what you are describing could be symptoms of anxiety / depression , (speaking from experience). are you over tired? remember you dont have to be SAD or miserable to be depressed . I had absolutely no idea I had post natal depression , in hindsight becoming "vacant" and not being able to get my act together was a sign of things to come.( my child was a year and half at the time) You are right to take notice of it. If it doesnt feel right, there are lots of things you can do to make things better. I am fine now by the way.

Cant get it together to write a list I DO eventually pull it all together but I do have these crippling moments (hours) where I achieve nothing. And the next day I will do more in half an hour than Ive done in the last week.
How did you get better gummy?

I used to be so laissez faire, so to speak, fling a few things a bag, pack my credit card etc apart from that one time where dp put the holiday money in a "safe" place......but generally I find 2 weeks before I have to write it all down - first aid kit - tick, arm bands - tick etc etc etc DH thinks i am crazy and still throws a few things in a bag at the last (possible) moment....drives me crazy!

My depression got better ( another story) but I still have to write lists to remember stuff!(essential for a mum) in a diary that i wont lose with a bright cover i divide the page in 2 so i have things i must do and things id like to get done. that way i spend less time worrying about the things that i might have forgotten. ( i never do the things on the non essential list but at least they are written down!!)On days when Im knackered and find it hard to think straight my list would have things like " brush kids hair, hang washing etc just so i can order it before doing, it makes it less daunting.
