I took propanolol (beta blockers) for panic and anxiety a while ago and whilst they gave some benefit I realised I was actually fairly depressed and GP gave me citalopram and occassionally I take a combination of the two if things are bad. I went up to 30mg citalopram about a month ago and feel happier although I do still have anxiety and occassional agrophobic feelings. I know what I have to do to make the anxiety better - we are moving to a better area and to be near to more people and our families. I have looked after the family with no time off for 3 years (ok we went out for pizza, once!).
What I am wondering is, which is the worst of my two drugs in the long term. I would like to have another baby soon and am considering dropping back to 20mg ADs and relying more on the beta blockers for my anxiety. We won't TTC until I am on the mend.
Any thoughts?
