Well I can crawl or move very very slow. Getting to the kitchen is so hard. Got to 2 kids to care for. Can barely move. So I scared. I was lots better but I badge this weekend. Really bad. Genuinely scared I'm going to die from it.

Okay you have managed to reach out here for help so that is great. Do you have a partner, close family or friends? Does anyone know you are struggling or do you have anyone you can contact?

Have you been to the doctors? Have you got medication you are on? Are you seeing anyone like a councillor?

You won't die from the Depression alone as it's your mental health but you do need to look after yourself and access help immediately for you and your kids.

You're not going to die from it. Breathe in and out slowly and calmly. Notice things around you, try and distract yourself.

Are you in pain? Have you spoken to a doctor?

Depression is a bit like seasickness.

At first you feel like you are going to die.. that's the good bit
Then you realise it won't kill you but you wish it would... That's the bad bit..

Of course seasickness stops the moment that you take away what is causing it.. (movement). Depression is sometimes caused by circumstances , (over work, fatigue, workplace stress, undiagnosed illness). But sometimes it is part of you.

I found that recognising it is part of me helps me deal with it when the black dog come a bounding and barking at me. It doesn't shoo the bloody animal away, but I am no longer scared of it.

If I was a magic fairy, I would wave a wand and make everything right for you. As it is I am a manic fairy and prone to going off the rails.

just seen this smart..I once had a bad depressive episode that affected me physically, it can happen. I couldn't move either and even swallowing was hard. just make sure you keep gp and or mental health professionals up to date with how you are. it is utterly horrible and frightening so I hope you feel a bit better soon

I do understand what you are going through.
Though these days I have no memory of how bad I felt at the time. For which I am rather glad.

Hi! Yes, I'm far better than last week. Still bad, feel very fragile and it all feels very precarious, but it always does when I've had a bad spell. Thank you xx

Hello smart - I'm currently going through the same thing today and I just wanted to say that hearing you say you're not as bad now has helped me today a little bit and to thank you for it.

Hi windfallen so sorry you are tormented today. It will pass - but it's the waiting for it to pass that is sooooooo hard. Professor I am in awe of you that you are no longer scared of the "black dog" - I never stop being scared of him. I do tend to forget the bad days though so some compensation I suppose.
