Anyone done a Fitness 'Boot Camp' ?

I am a blob. Have about 1 stone to lose, and serious wobbly bits to tone up.
It sad, as I once trained to be a fitness instructor, and was a lean 9 stone and size 10 (even though that was 15 years ago....)

I need to 'kick-start' myself back into exercise and have been looking at a twice-weekly 'boot-camp' type thing near here - it's at 6.30 am twice a week [gulp]

Am I mad?

Is it worth it?

My friend has done it twice, she has lost loads of weight (and she's not even big!)

It's hard work though, but I think it's worth it.

I have a friend who does this type of thing and really motivates her classes early in the morning and i have a friend who has done this type of thing twice and shifted a lot of weight and then joined a gym to keep it off

i would say it is worth it

I am thinking about doing it too, would be interesting to hear from others that have done it and what type of exercises are involved...

A friend of mine did this with great results. It was hard work - I think hers was a 6 week course and the classes were Mon, wed and fri but I might be wrong.

At least this way you get your exercise over and done with first thing in the morning and don't have to spend all day dreading doing it like I do!

Yes! A great way to lose weight and shape up fast as the circuits will really challenge your body. Plus the group sessions will act to stop any boredom from setting in and motivate you in equal measures. I am using it as an overall toner plus a way to improve my anaerobic fitness for playing hockey. Running on my own works on improving the aerobic fitness and keeps my cardiovascular system healthy but am optimistic the boot camp style circuit training (which is what it essentially is) will cover the rest of the areas. I have had a month off activity due to injury and went to a session today but was definitely not the slowest person there despite losing fitness. I think a lot of those who do it where I live are really looking for a reliable way of working out as everyone swore by it. Where are you looking at doing it?

Good luck if you do go for it tomorrow at 6.30am!
