Football Tournaments...........anyone answers couple of questions please

Never been to one before - DS is playing in one in August. We have been told to arrive at 9.15am, there will be about 6 matches and then semis, finals - anyone got any experience of going to tournaments? wondered how long they last, do the boys get a rest in between matches (there are 5 age groups playing, DS is in U8s)- does there tend to be a lot of waiting round inbetween matches? any info/tips etc would be appreciated!
