Hi all - I am in week 3 of Couch 2 5k, and looking ahead to a 10k I have signed up for in September. Can anyone recommend a good bridge to 10k programme?
Thank you!

place marking, I have literally just done the first run of couch to 5kk but thinking I would like to do a 10k in sep. I have done the 10k before so know I can do it but wanting to start from scratch and do it properly. I really enjoyed the first run (and founf it really easy which was great) I havent run for about 4 years.

Hi Dita, I haven't run for about 10 years - and even then, it was on the treadmill at the gym. Am terribly unfit, but am totally surpirsed by how much I'm loving it! And doing every other day, so hoping to finish in just under 8 weeks. The 10k is in Regents Park. I need a goal!

based on my diary I am planning to do a park run on the 6th June, 10k is 27th Sep so should be doable. I am doing it as per the program as I have planter fascitis and dont want to over do it and put myself off. I am even considering doing a half maraton next April which is a bit bold since I only did 1 walk/run already.

fulfulina, I've been running every second day, and it's been good - it gives you time to repeat /extra rest/whatever and has suited me really well. Am on wk8 now, and am aiming for a half-marathon on 21 Sept - not sure if it's realistic, but am looking to complete it, not get a good time. I'm also slightly obsessive about things, so will either run often or never, hence the ambitious target.

From what I've read, it seems like going from5k to 10k in 8 weeks is do-able, so end of end of Sept should be fine.

I used the Zen Labs C25K app and they have a Bridge to 10K as well. For some reason it takes you all the way thru C25K from the beginning but if you just pick up at the beginning of week 9 after finishing C25K you will do 10 K in 7 weeks.
