C25K - can you skip bits?

I did the whole of C25K last year but for various reasons couldn't keep it going

By the time I finished I could run for half an hour without feeling I was going to explode

I've started again and this time I'm doing it with ds(14). He is v tall and v thin so covers enormous amounts of ground with each stride and also has much less bulk to haul around

It was obvious on the first run that both of us were capable of a lot more than 1 minute runs so we skipped to week 3 (two runs). We're now planning to go onto week 4.

Is this ok or are we storing up problems?

I'd say if you can comfortably do the week, it's ok to move on.

Thanks - started on W4R1 today and it was fine however I think the step up to W5 was where I got stuck a bit last summer so will make sure we finish this week before moving on

I started mid programme after doing it previously. It was fine and didn't feel like I was pushing myself too far. Managed to keep running this time as well Grin
