Im down in Illfracombe on my hols with my twin sis her DH and her 2 boys!

As for big yeah im feeling it! My boobs after my shower this morning looked so bad I might have to hide them from DH when I get back! Hes piocking me up Friday as we find out today if he is being made redundant or not I had a bit of a cry over it yesterday and Im to far away to give him a supportive hug for today!!

Anyway on a plus note....... I play Bingo every night down here spend about £4 or so for the fun of it and yest DH said about the redundancy and then I won! Then again and then AGAIN!!

I went and won 3 games totalling £143 whicvh is not alot to some people but to me its loads as I only came down here with £100 to spend and had not even been able to treat myself on my £15 budget per day! So I have decided to put £70 to babies stuff, £30 fuel for DH to collect me Friday as I miss him sooo much! and the rest is for ME!! I plan on buying a nice ice cream and various other bits of crap that clearly I dont need but hey IM ON HOLIDAY!!! 1st one in 4 years and last one for a bit!

Onto baby hes fine kicking me all the time now! Apparently he's 13.5 inches long and weighs at least 1.5 pounds how cool is that! Im not quite sure what he thinks of the loud music every night though!

Well best go the lady in this pc machine told me agttention im rubnning out of time and she is not having any more money from me today!! sorry about bad spelling no time for spell check! lol

I could not resist I went and bought a 'test 6 days early' kit and did it this morning. As AF due Wednesday and have been feeling werid all month so had convinced myself it qwould be a faint but BFP. I got a BFN - was gutted and am now in a vile mood and so disapointed.

I am praying that my AF wont come and I can re-test next week. Not in a regular cycle so who knows!

Embryo's went in 8 days ago, my test date is the 13th but AF is due on 11th, so do you reckon I could test with a clear blue digital tomorrow ? The embryo's were day 3 so they'll be 12 days old ?

Oh god pme dont know prehaps you had a chemical pregnancy? which is why the other tests showed pos as they may have been extra sensitive, unless anyone else comes back with anything i'm not much help, sorry!!! How horrible for you. xxx

I got AF on 17th September, 13 days late or 17 days late as month before started light bleeding on the 31st July and got heavier on the 4th August. Confusing I know. So going by 31st July I woulda bn 17 days late, 13 days late if going by 4th of August.

Anyway had AF 17th of ths mnth afer early tests showed positive and normal tests showed negative

Anyway....when I got AF was a shock, but I had AF for approx 4 days(normal), then yesterday , exactly a week later from my AF I start heavy bleeding again, sorry TMI, clots too, so why has ths happened?

Iate they think i am due 4th april but will know more at the next scan!! It was just nice to see all is ok. Whoop whoop pme WOW so excited for you well done!!! I will add to the good news as i had my first scan today and all went well found heartbeat and babes moving around but said i was only 11 weeks so have to go back in 2 weeks to have measurments done etc etc. woman said nothing to worry about its just we cant get acurate measurments at 11 weeks, so a bit relieved to see babes moving!!!!!

why you using diluted pee??

Even so it cant pick up the pregnancy hormone unless its there and from the research i did, you can only get hcg in certain medications.

As for gp tests its the same as me before i had negatives after positives and so on, esp with that digi test.

Im sure you are when will gp confirm it? xx

morning pme how you feeling today??

Well I went through baby clothes and have a lady expecting twins popping in at 10:30 to collect the girl bits, the rest white and blue im giving to another lady as i dont like them and a friend has 3 big boxes of baby clothes ready for me!

Baby has been kicking away this morning and dh put his hand on belly and said he thought he felt something!

Im sat here about to put music on in the hope it might send baby Max to sleep because hes been awake for a while now! lol

I was 13 days late last month, but v.light bleeding started on the 31st July, but didn't get full on bleeding and bad cramps til 3rd or 4th August, but think the 4th August was full on bleeding and cramps so.... if I am going by 4th then 6 days late, so something woulda def came up

Ok first of ignore the silly clearblue you can not get false positives and cleablue digi said not pregnant for me! I most def am!!

How fast did the lines come up? Im not even going to bore you with the question could it be evap lines, you've been testing long enough to know if they were..

Test again in the morning and I promise I will be about bar a Dr visit at 10:30.

Update here had scan today (thats why I was not about sorry!) and were having a BOY!!! He has the fatest tummy I have ever seen on a scan and he looked amaazing i cried I have been so sure he was a boy all along! Anyway due date has been changed again to 25th January and I have been told after my holiday in October I will be doing about 3 more shifts then on maternity leave if I want! Hell yeah im getting out of there! Anyway scan amazing experience seeing him moving on the screen knowing the feeling ive been having was def movement. They measured everything but his tummy and the guy sonographer said he was happy with little baby. As for names provisional name Max till we think of something else! My baby looks like a baby and im over the moon!

The ebay ones are 10 miu so are more sensitive than others, maybe test in the morning with fmu with a different test, might get a better result??? Hope you are pg although if 2 tests come up pos can't think they would be wrong??

Hi everyone. Just dropping in to see if there is any news here. I am 10 weeks pg now, haven't had a scan yet. Its been a pretty bad few weeks healthwise with loads of really painful cramping and a nasty dose of swine flu. I can still squeeze into my jeans and haven't grown as much as I think I should, so I'm really itching to have a scan to see if everything is ok with the baby. I still haven't had a date yet from the hospital, even after chasing them up. Its quite frustrating and DH is saying we should go and get one privately.

Im def feeling movement every day now which is so reassuring! I asked the smoking midwife today if this was normal and she said yes, i said i think he likes to dance on my bladder and was he/she big enough to do this, apparently yes it means baby is bum down??

ebay is great for prams etc we've seen some locally travel systems so car seat etc all in one for about £40 buy it now which seems reasonable to me!

The feeling i get started of about 16 half weeks like little bubbles only once, then a week later 2 little kicks very faint like it was quite far inside me iykwim and now its regular quite low down on the left i feel proper moves, only way i can describe is actually a baby moving inside of me lol. He/she reacts to my prodding and stroking quite a bit esp in the morning and the evenings he/she is def quite active! Its every day i feel movement although DH has yet to feel anything although bubba swims about right under his hand i think hes teasing his/her daddy!! By the way these feeling are llight mind not heavy hand out the skin kind of thing its just like midwife said im very in touch with my body.

I say this as bubba is doing a merry little dance right now!

I'm not really patient it was more DH! But in a way I don't want to find out either.

I'm still not sure if I'm feeling movement or not We haven't got anything yet! Aarggh but we are going to some NCT sales next month so hopefully should get some things then - and I'm looking on ebay as well for a pushchair.

Hi Ricci, most people would show positive on the day their period is due, but some people don't show until later. Maybe you should go back to the doctor and see whether they can do another blood test for you or arrange a scan to see what's going on. It could also be that you're having an anovulatory cycle as I believe that can make your period very late.

Angel wow 8 weeks already gosh time if flying! Yep am 17 weeks tommorrow not felt bu bba move since Friday though. Ask for an early scan or failing that pop to your local epu and ask for a scan, you wont get photos but its a relief to see bubba on the screen...

Poor you. How did you manage it? My midwife friend says that morning sickness is a sign that things are working (although she also said that not having is doesn't mean that they are not!) so hopefully it means all is well with your little bean. pme if you have a 47 day cycle your fertile time would be 14 days before that which is around the 1st sept.

Right, here we go...well, was due my AF on 18th July, never came til 31st, 13 days late,or would tht be 14 days late so tht was the Friday night....but was light, and virtually disappeared over next couple of days, Monday though was when the heavier stuff came sorry TMI, and I got the usual AGONISING pains constantly.

Ok today am 16+3 and i think i felt the baby move! Cue me telling myself loudly whilst on the bed, 'the baby just moved!!' the dog running in to see what my excitment was about, then me dashing into bathroom to tell DH with the biggest grin on my face!!

I still dont actually know if it was the baby moving i was feeling very relaxed after some morning activity shall we say and it was like bubbles on the left hand side which is where they pick up the heartbeat! My wind is ussually in the middle! Did I actually feel bubba Max moving or is it my imagination!?

Hi everyone, I'm still checking up on you all.
Still not feeling very pregnant - no sickness or tiredness yet. I'm about 6+4. I had a very slight bleed (dark brown) yesterday but nothing to get too worried about I hope. I'm away from home anyway so can't see my doctor so I'm just taking it a little bit easier and hoping for the best.
Just wanted to say to all the symptom spotters, the only real symptoms that I noticed in the 2 week wait were tingly boobs and lower back pain. Of course I didn't really think I was pregnant at the time so it is only with the benefit of hindsight.

Iate I'm sure your results will come back fine too. How disappointing that they didn't tell you about the nuchal scan or that the midwife didn't keep the doplar on for very long. Was it lovely hearing the heartbeat though?

Iate and Liskey have you enrolled on any classes yet? My friends have all said that the NCT ones they went on were quite good and most were lucky and met lots of people who have now become good friends.

Typical, someone on my other thread sold her CBF monitor when she found out she was pregnant or else I could have had hers. So instead I've been watching a whole load of them on ebay. They seem to be going for about half the price of the brand new ones which is making me think it's not quite so icky using a machine which may have had someone elses pee in it. Maybe! I still haven't bid yet so don't be surprised if I somehow buy one in Boots by accident!

Because I'm under 35 (by 14 months only) my GP won't do any tests on me until we've been trying for a year. He has agreed to do sperm tests on DH because he's 41 and also had an operation on his testicle when he was in his early 20s so they are booked for September. Cross fingers we'll be able to cancel.

So how's everyone else? Clwc, PME, Rene, Angel? Everyone has been very quiet this week.... more BFPs please.

Still doesn't seem very real but I do feel very tired in the evenings. I don't knwo if I've felt the baby move either yet - it is strange waiting for somehting but you don't quite know what! I had a private nuchal scan which came back 1 in 50,000 i think it was. I've had my 15 weekd bloods as well which said 1 in 1250 - so no further tests offered. I'm sure your test results will come back fine.

Sorry PL I only temped and used OPK's which did work in combination with each other - so I can't say about the clearblue fertility monitor.

Just had my 16 week checkup with a very mad midwife she was crazy. Didn't ask me anything just got down to things and i felt it was all very rushed. She did say have i felt baby move yet but i dont know what im looking out for! Babies heartbeat was 153 today DH came with me but we were disappointed she only had doplar on my belly for 30 seconds or so! He took time of work for the appointment. Had the downs screening test done, so have to wait about 10 days for the results, didn't know till today though that if results come back less then 1:100 id need amnio and this has a 1:100 chance if miscarriage! Also annoyed that midwife never told me the nuchal scan would mean no need for this blood test, but thats done 12-14 weeks so a bit late now. DH said he would have paid for it. Never mind am sure all will be ok!

Angelfifi I'm fine thanks, although I'm onto my next cycle of trying. Was a bit gutted last month as I went to CD33, and the previous cycle was CD24 - I was beginning to think something was happening but it turned out all to be in my head! Wishful thinking I guess.

By the way, have any of you used the Clearblue fertility monitor? I was thinking of getting one and I know they're expensive but as I'm now on my ninth cycle I think it might be money well spent.

PL I don't have to decide officially about maternity leave till week 24 I think? Though of course I'll talk to my manager when he gets back from paternity leave about it (there's something in the water in my team this year). Now week 17 and my friend said today she could see a bump in the skirt I was wearing today but everything still fits - which is good as I don't want to go and buy lots of clothes which I won't be able to wear for long. I was thinking that perhaps I'll delay maternity leave till a week before due date and take 2 weeks holiday before as at least I will get longer off then when bump arrives.

I'm not sure what CD I am, PL. It was Norethisterone she gave me to stop the bleeding (It has stopped completely now). After taking it for 21 days, I'll have a 'withdrawal bleed'. My maths isn't working, cos I'm hungry. Lol. So, I don't know what CD that would make me. Also, I don't like to weigh myself at the moment. Perhaps I will once the endocrinologist gives me some suitable meds

...Which all makes me quite useless as any kind of buddy x x x

Clwc, sorry for not getting back to you earlier and I hope you're feeling a bit better. No wonder you were so upset though, you've been putting up with such a lot. Hopefully the endocrinologist will be able to help a bit. I want to lose some weight too, so maybe we could be diet buddies as well as almost-cycle buddies (I'm on CD4 today)?

This is quite long...

My trip to the gynae was horrible. First, I was waiting for well over an hour before the receptionist realised my file had been misplaced (I really wasn't in the mood to pick a fight with anyone, so I just sat there and read magazines). Then, the gynae had a bit of a go because I hadn't brought a menstrual diary with me and I couldn't really remember the last 7 months. My BMI has gone up by one point since I was there last year, so that wasn't really appreciated either

She said she would refer me to the endocrinologist, who will probably prescribe Metformin. At least that's good news.

Next, I said, "But what about this bleeding then?" She thinks it's PCOS-related, but decided to take a biopsy to be 100% certain that it isn't anything more than that. The biopsy was the most painful thing I can remember being put through in my life! I told her it made me have second thoughts about giving birth!

Anyway, while she was doing that, she asked about my employment, and I told her I want to work towards becoming an Occupational Therapist. I've never witnessed such a personality transformation! She was lovely after that.

While I was putting my shoes back on, the pain had pretty much subsided, so I was asking her about the prescription she gave me to stop the bleeding. As you do. I have to take it for 21 days.

She also said she doesn't want to give me Clomid yet. Not because she doesn't like me, but if I catch pregnant while I'm overweight, I may have to deal with many other complications during the pregnancy. She told me I'm still young and have time to lose weight before TTC. That's why she'd like the endocrinologist to see me first.

I had the prescription in my hand, and was just about to leave, when I came over all funny. She asked me to sit down again and said, "We don't want you fainting on us!" Then she and the nurse said I looked like I needed a good cry. So I did.

Once I'd composed my self a bit, I got out of there as quickly as I could and headed for the loo, sorted myself out a bit more, then left. I was shaking and sobbing all the way up the hill to my car.

I drove straight to my Mum's house. Had a cup of sweet tea and a couple of lovely Belgian cookies, and I felt a million times better

I'm still in a bit of pain, and I'm bleeding a lot more now, but I'm happy in the knowledge that something is finally being done for me.

PL We haven't got anything yet! Though I am reading Mumsnet reviews on pushchairs! I'm still fitting into my normal clothes - told someone I was 16 weeks pregnant yesterday and they couldn't believe it! I was looking at company maternity policy again today and am dithering about whether I take a week's maternity off before and have 2 weeks holiday as well - i'm crap at making these decisions!

PME I think you and I are in the same boat. I'm CD31 now and just waiting for the inevitable. If it doesn't arrive by the weekend I might to another test, but I'm pretty sure the first test was right.

Liskey HELLO! As Iate says - the whole of December of sounds wonderful too. Have you been getting lots of things for the baby? Or are you just investigating at this stage? I think I may be mad as I was trying to work out the other day whether I could do without a buggy. They just seem to take up so much space. Bet I change my mind though!

Iate When's your 16 week appointment? Two weeks time? Will the midwife book the classes for you? All my friends have found NCT classes really good, not just for the content but most have remained really friendly with the people they met. Hopefully you'll find a good class that you enjoy with nice people.

Congratulations to you Rene! Restraint on the buggy front - though I've got to admit I was looking on ebay the other night - at a Maclaran as someone at work was telling me how good those are.

PL I've sort of dipped in and out of the pregnancy book - the out bit defintely being anything called birth......I don't really want to read that! Though I have booked NCT classes now as everyone seems to recommend them and tells me NHS classes have too many people going.

Iate I was emailing HR about maternity leave today as our online maternity calculator seemed to be incorrect. I'm not planning to go on maternity leave till 1/2 weeks beforehand - as I'll have 3 weeks of holiday to use up as well. So I should get most of December off.

Clwc he didn't mean anything but sounds like he didn't think at all before talking to your MIL. I'd probably tell him how annoying that is - rather than its made you angry. If you don't tell him he won't realise being a man.

My sister said she didn't have any symptoms for ages so I don't think that is of itself anything to worry about. Perhaps mention it to the docs when you go to set your mind at ease?

Finally did a test today and it's a BFP. I am quite shocked, I don't feel any symptoms so I'm still a bit unsure. But it's a very dark line. Will need to get used to the idea. Angel I guess we will be due at the same time!
Is it odd not to have sore boobs? It's a long time since I was pregnant.

pme have you tested with clearblue digital the last few days?? I knoow the cheapio ones said bfn but if u think you saw a faint line then i think test again but not with digi test, said i was not pregnant when i was.

I'm CD 30 today. I haven't stopped bleeding yet. Going to the cons on Friday. Hopefully she can investigate further and tell me what the hell is going on.

I'm feeling nervous tonight. That's why I'm not in bed yet. DP has told his mother about the bleeding and that I'm going to the gynae, even though I've asked him before not to tell her my private business. (Despite me not liking everyone knowing my personal stuff, she's a bit of a gossip.) He can be far too honest for his own good sometimes. Basically, she asked me how I am feeling now. I didn't know how to reply, because I didn't know what DP had said.

I don't know how much of that made sense, but I needed to have a little rant just then.

How's the pregnancy book going? I have only got conception ones (well - two to be exact) and don't intend on getting any pregnancy ones until about a week before B day. A friend of mine surprised me with photographs of her giving birth the other day and there was one particular one with a head sticking out of her fanjo which has scared me to death! As far as I'm concerned the midwives can tell me what to do on the day.

I'm 15 + 5 according to my dating scan and everything is fine with the pregnancy - but I'm off work today with a cold. I know its just a cold but my sinuses are painful and my nose has been totally blocked - this weekend has not been fun. I moved into the spare room so DH could be spared my snoring - which even wakes me up!

Haven't got any baby things yet - though we've had the promise of a cot from DH sister. I also started reading the first pregnancy book last week - I hadn't dared to before the scan

Seeing a nieghbour this week as she has most things i need and is selling to me nice and cheap! My sister is lending me her cot for as long as we need and dont even need to buy a mattress as we know the family history, only been used by my nephews!

Freecycle is the best and if this baby is a boy (which i secretly think he is!) i will be giving away all the newborn girls clothes on freecycle!

Please let me offer you one small teeny weeny bit of advice..... if clearblue says not pregnant and you suspect you are buy a cheaper shop test tesco asda etc, as when i was pregnant before it said not pregnant for a good few days after other tests were positive.

no sickness nope all gone now feel normal whatever that is... I did have sickness but only for 2 weeks or so, although i do heave as soon as i put toothbrush in my mouth

Only symptom is occasional sore nipples i thought they were sore around 8 weeks but nope much worse nowadays!

dh kindly told me this morning my boobs feel smaller today and i seem slimmer! i figure the bloating has now gone which is nice!

Went to collect a baby bath and came home with steriliser, breast pump, cot mobile thing, toys, lots of blankets and bedding, bath, clothes and the promise of more bits as her little one grows up! how kind is that and all for free!

OHHHHH PME get a test get a test!!!!! Hubby got a cheapie test from the pound shop yesterday that are the same as on ebay!! He said go test with it out of interest just to see!!! And it was a very faint line and didn't come up straight away so think they are not good tests although good if you need to test all the time lol!!!!

Check boobs every day for changes nipples getting darker but one of my nipples seems to have created a little dent in the middle almost like its going in????? Well, I feel much the same really. It's way way too early to test so I'm not even tempted at the moment. I'm on CD25 today so based on last month I'm a day late but based on my longest cycle, I've still got ten days to go. Aarrrghh. I think I'm going to try to hold out until CD30 which would be next Wednesday. Wish me luck!

Well i caved today and did a test i couldn't wait until sun!! I had a fr winking and calling me! I can't believe this and am still in shock but was a BFP I can't believe it i'm so happy you can't believe very sick but for all the right reasons!! But now i'm scared of mc'ing again, but for some reason i feel this is ok the last times didn't feel right. Will now get a digi just to confirm but was a very strong pos line!!!

Re the bleeding: The only other thing is that my thyroid is a little under active (which may contribute to the bleeding). The GP gave me the lowest dose of meds for that. It still hasn't stopped though.

I don't really know what else to do. Other than the recent abdominal twinges/pain, I feel fine. I have a gynae appointment on the 31st. I don't think that the GP would be able to do anything between now and then, so unless I faint, or experience bad pains, I'll just have to wait it out

I'm on CD24 and feel like my period is just around the corner but yesterday I was so tired I had to have a nap and the old (.)(.)s have been a bit sore and last night they looked kind of veiny - but it could all be wishful thinking! Watch this space.

Quick update from me, had very stressful last week so was worried about my BP so had it all checked yesterday all was good, and they checked baby with doplar, didnt think they would get anything. Soon as it was on my belly we could hear his heartbeat i was over the moon! Then we heard him moving about and he was playing cat and mouse with the midwife, sounds like his dad I'd assumed my uterus was prob just above my pubic bone so was shocked to find its halfway up my belly already and not far below my belly button! Now i know i have a bump and its not just fat! well i will keep telling myself that anyways!

Well i really don't feel right today i feel very sick and really tired - to scared to test incase it's a neg i'm sure because i had the sickky bug when i ov'ed it pushed it towards the weekend so in theory that would be coming up to this weekend i'm due, even though i was due on mon, but when i ov i do go 14 days later for af - does that make much sense!!! I think i'm confusing myself again!!
Or it could be my body playing tricks on me and have picked up another bug

Angel, don't test til tomorrow if you haven't already.

Welcome Kel. To answer your question, some tests say you can test early but if you read the small print you can see that they are really unreliable if taken early so if you get a negative you may still be pregnant, just not have enough HCG to show at that time. Or you may not be pregnant but you won't know for sure until your period arrives. Sorry I can't be more helpful! Personally I try not to test until I'm late because it's just too depressing seeing a BFN (and too expensive if you get carried away which is so easy to do once you start testing!). Having said all that GOOD LUCK, and let us know how you get on.

Right girls, non-testing advice needed for me please. I've got EWCM - again on CD22!

Haven't been temping this month so I've no idea whether I have ovulated or not although I've been having cramps for the past few days and had some around CD14 and 15, more on CD19 and now today as well. Has anyone else had this before? Generally I just have a bit around ovulation but not patches of it dotted here and there around my cycle.

Grrr. Why can't our bodies be more helpful and spit out an 'ovulation' flag mid-cycle and then a 'preggo' flag or something later on.

Hi kel118 and welcome. If the pg tests are negative and you are already quite late (is that about 2 weeks?) then you are most unlikely to be pregnant, but I would go and see the doc now if I was you in case those symptoms are indicative of something else.
Trying4, as clwc said the most sensitive tests say they can work 6 days before period but there is a much higher chance of a false negative when testing early so it is worth waiting til you're actually due.

hoping for some advice! im 23, getting married in 4 months. My period is late, last one was on june 5th. i was getting my period twice a month previously,strange yes, do have crohns disease though, weird things happen at times. but am now late, my boobs and particulary nipples hurt, getting a strange white odourless discharge a fair bit and i feel quite... fat!? my clothes arent tighter, yet i just feel like a big balloon. did a pregnancy test x 5 and all have been negative. I would be quite happy if it was positive but would need to change a few things for the wedding. Can anyone provide advice on these symptoms as i have to be careful with a lot of the medication i take and pregancy.

There are tests that can catch pregnancy early. Some say 6 days early. That's what we're trying to avoid on this thread though. It depends on how many 'miu' the test can detect. I think 10miu is the lowest, so a 10miu HPT could be used the earliest. Generally, the more pricey the test, the more reliable it will be.

I know this page is supposed to discourage early testing but just wondering how early you can test and get a response? I've just started TTC and I'm really impatient. Just wondering how early you can test from with the ebay cheapy sensitives?

Room for a little one? I have had my 3rd IVF and am due to test on Monday 27th. I am 7 days past transfer and absolutely gagging to test it is killing me! How is everyone else doing??

OWO - oooh faint second line on the ebay cheapie - could be that there's not enough of HCG to show up yet on a normal one - maybe try another, perhaps branded, one in a few days.

26 day cycle so not til about Sunday 26th. Seems like lightyears away. I don't have much hope really for this month - just beginning to think there may be a problem, been trying 8 months. Also used a possibly non-sperm friendly lubricant at a crucial time. Silly, wasn't thinking.

Usually, when I'm feeling a bit anaemic, I crave a nice fillet steak. I haven't been craving anything.

The doc will just say, "It's normal with PCOS" and "Wait until your appointment at the clinic on the 31st".

If I do feel ill or in pain, I'll go, but I feel OK. In fact, I'm going to the gym today. Perhaps a good workout will flush everything out.

They aren't normally this long, but I did take Clomid in April and May, which could have messed everything up. And it's light, so it isn't as though I'm losing gallons of blood.

Hey there Clwc, how horrible - are your periods normally so long? If not, get theeself down to the docs...apart from anything else you could be getting anaemic which could explain why you're so tired (along with the PCOS). Bug hugs. Hope she goes away soon. x

I feel fine, Angelfifi. Thank-you for asking I'm tired a lot, but I think that's been the same for a long time (PCOS related). If I had pains that felt more severe than ovulation, I'd be straight down the doc's.

HI Lissie, it's a fab idea! My friend has done it twice and now has two sons. She says it is the best way as you feel you are helping other people and it's so much cheaper. I think it's a great idea and you are given the opportunity to know if the other couple are successful in case you are interested.
Good luck with clomid but if not do give this a go.

yep, the clinic donates my eggs to a woman who has none of her own (that are usable)(early menopause/cancer/chromosone issues) a cycle will cost about £400 instead of £5000. the clinic absorbs most of the cost. as well as being cheaper i think it would be a good thing to do. a friend of dh's dp has gone through menopause at just 28 and needs egg donation to concieve. i hope i can help someone like them. after all, biology doesnt make you a parent!

what exactly is egg sharing? do you mean donor? is it much cheaper?

exciting about cons. we only have 1 month of clomid left after this month, seeing cons in sept and going to discuss egg sharing, its really our only option, responded well to stims but cant afford private ivf without sharing.

back on here for some support through the 2ww, CD24 today, going on holiday on CD34 (or CD3 if AF shows up) no symptoms whatsoever so far and I have a sneaky HPT in the cupboard to take next sun/mon naughty girl!! have really made an effort this month with BDing - think DP is getting pissed off now with BFNs so he keeps harrassing me until I give in!! so far, pretty much every day since day 5!! Fingers crossed!!

Well i'm feeling a bit low today i have just seen a friend that is due in 2 weeks time and we were suppose to be pg together until i mc'ed. So just kept thinking i would be soon to have my little one but hence not to be, and not even pg yet Grrrrr.....
I don't even know when i ov'ed this month as we had a bad stomach bug when i was suppose to ov so not sure if i did then or was delayed, so havent got a clue whats happening with my cycle this month. I don't even know what cd i am on. I think i will give it 3 weeks to do a test if no sign of af, although i'm not giving out much hope!

Hello ladies, went camping over the weekend and lasted 3 hrs, I had the mother of all stomach bugs, so not really thought about anything else till today.

Symptoms same as above.

Also metallic taste in mouth

However cramps are here now so I am guessing the witch is coming and my body is just messing with my head as usual.
I only have one test and can't afford anymore this month, so won't be testing again for a while. On CD 29 of a 25-29 day cycle, but I have had a 30 dayer before so not holding my breath this month, the cramps are quite painful so must be AF.

No I'm not showing yet - but I'm bursting out of my swimming costume. I went to get a nwe bra on Thursday after my scan (thought it was safe then) and the lady in M&S wouldn't let me wear my old one out! I've gone from a 34B to a 38D - I'm in shock - I knew they'd change but this much and so fast! I had a scan done privately today to check nuchal fold - very active - forgot to ask for photos on disk though so can't post them - sorry.

I had my first scan today - according to my dates I'm 12 weeks 3 days but the sonographer has dated me at 13 weeks and due date is now the 13 Jan. I cried when I saw the hearbeat as it was so different to last time but very strong and extremely active (wouldn't stay still for a photo - obviously takes after DH).

iaatcey - So pleased for you - I know its not easy but small changes make a huge difference and you have just done the best thing you could - you should be proud of yourself!
nunnie - it aint over til the witch appears - I know how hard it is to not test - after all you were there when I caved!
As for me my 20 week scan went well and it's all feeling very real now!

Joycey wow 20 weeks already! Time really has flown by - how are you coping with everything?? I dont have any more scans now till 20 weeks but on a plus note thats now less than 9 weeks away only! Im 11+1 today

ok guys one more thing please please dont criticise me for this i am ashamed enough that i did it but proud enough to say today is Day 3 of no smoking! I just could not give it up even after what id gone through before so Sunday decided Monday would be the day! I am so ashamed that I did smoke and thought having given up the drink was a big enough step for me. I'm opening myself up here in a big way to admit dh and really did drink alot and so when we decided to start ttc it all happened so fast. Now i am not drinking at all,(stopped immediately when i found out i was pregnant) dh has cut down his drinking to literally maybe only drinking on one night a week and we are now smoke free! So will be giving my flat a thorough clean etc to finish of this big step in our lives!

Anyway hope you are all having a nice day! I have to go to my sisters in a minute and then to work to meet nvq man who has finally agreed i can do my nvq after telling me 2 days ago due to my pregnancy i could not do it! But all is ok and sorted out now after i expressed my thoughts against discrimination towards pregnant woman and told the company im having a baby not losing my brain! Go me!!

I am so weak well as expected BFN, so thats me out for another month.

iaatcey, my 2ww will either be over Fri,Sat or Sunday but I am camping this weekend so I will put money on the arrival of the witch she always comes when it is inconvenient (which is all the time).

I have been here before I like spotting symptoms, but I don't get my hopes up tbh, they can all be explained by something else but I like spotting so here goes!

Mouth ulcer that only last a day and half, never had that before, they always last 10+ days very bizzare, so that is now a symptom as there is no other explanation for it coming and going so quick.

PME i am so sorry to hear your news about Jack! I wish i could say something to make you fele better but there is nothing in this world that will do, other than the Dr telling you he was wrong. Not really renerusso, he does a good quality of life tho, doesn't talk, or walk and won't walk for a while, was saying a few words before meds were increased nd then he stopped saying them, meds make him drowsy

But def progresing, weight bearing now and also think he said "mum" tonight when I said it, think he copied it

Of course they could be wrong. And even if they are right, there's still a 50% chance he does live to 40 and beyond. That is quite a good chance. How is his quality of life? Can he lead a fairly normal life despite the seizures?

Hi, Well I have given up for the forseeable..

We got bad news about our wee man, got his EEG results bk and they were really bad and we were told.... when I kept asking the consultant, that Jack only has 50% chance of getting to 40 yrs and 50% of not reaching that age

Can happen anytime from nw til then, so needless to say ths has put me right off having another

We are devastated...Jack's epilepsy won't do it, although there are always risks with any1 who has seizures, but Jack has a brain malfunction due to genetic disorder, which has no name and Jack is only 1 of 5 to have ths in the country and illnesses, such as bad colds, chest infections etc could kill him

Can't believe I am even writing those words

Consultant did say that Jack is on the very good end of the spectrum as he is mobile-ish and is not tube fed etc

I am in a world of my own right nw, a terrible place to be, believe me, I cannot pray any harder and am soo hoping Jack proves them all wrong

I drink alcohol on days 1-7. coffee/tea in moderation , say 2 or 3 cups a day. Coffee has some benefits - protects you from alzheimer's

No I drink it by the barrel load, I have been trying for so long now, I needed some pleasures back, alcohol and coffee were the two I opted for.

On the subject of coffee, do you avoid it anyway when you're TTC? I don't, but I have tried to cut down a bit, I think it is supposed to reduce your chance of conceiving.

I have just checked on fertility friend and my fertile time is this weekend i thought i was weekend after! I'm glad i checked, so will have to check for ov signs and hope the weather cools down a bit!!

pme Perhaps you can relax this month. Take a month off. Enjoy sex when you both want to, rather than at the fertile time. If you keep trying this month, you'll resent him even more and things will get worse between you. I don't doubt he is under a lot of pressure, and is probably also sick of the sight of negative HPTs. Just as you are.
