thanks for our help ans support too,
see you on the next bus, hope its a lucky bus for both us!

Oh right of course, how stupid am i,will move over too, well i've been on the pill for about 7yrs and only come off when ttc,but b4 they were ok and concieved 3rd mth of trying with no.1 and 1st mth with no.2,think i just need to get it in to my head that it is'nt going to go back to normal as quick this time, thanks for listening it's been a great help and i'll see you on the april bus!!!!!

yes i think they have moved to the next board(april one). Im on there too left a few messages and everyone has been very kind and supported me in my days of need...you could move to the next board too or im happy staying here chatting with you. good luck for the tests. is your cycle usually that long?
Bless you looby, what a nightmare,i did a test this morning too but it was negative,so on cd 34 and still no symptoms either way,i ordered some ultra sensitive tests off ebay and they arrived today so might do one later, just want to know if i can drink tomorrow or not, also thought i might get some ovulation tests, then if i'm ovulating i know i'm not pregnant, hope everythings ok for you looby

p.s do you think everyones let us?

Hi
tobagoDid a test this morning and there was hardly any positive line on it. Im miscarrying and waiting for my body to catch up and naturally deal with it.
Not been to doc as im sure there is no point as nothing can be done. Just hoping it starts today as tomorrow im at a wedding and mon is my wedding ann. I miscarried two years ago today too so its not an easy time to be going thr it all again too as i was bleeding for my wedding anniversary two years ago

It jst shows im not allowed to be preg in july and have a baby march!

With no2 a positive did'nt show up til after cd28 but can't remember what day it was,i've got a few mouth ulcers and feel a bit tired, but then you always feel tired when running around after 2 others!

Had a funny feeling in my stomach 2days ago like when you feel like your about to come on but nothing

I would test again in a day or 2 looby, you never know

Hi tobago thanks for your message.
Im doing ok. Will leave it a few days i think before retesting. or i maybe should just not test at all and just accept its +ve and leave it as that. Your on day 32 wow, when are you gonna test again? do you have any symptoms? i find that when im running around after my other two i dont get to think much about my wee sticky egg
L x
I'm so sorry looby, hope it was just a faulty test,it's not over til af appears

,i'm still the same on cd 32,let me know how your doing
Hi folks,
I was pregnant but...
i just did a digital test which came up with "not pregnant" altho i did one a few days ago that said preg 1-2wks. I have been testing everyday and tests were getting stronger slightly but this morning it was lighter than yesterdays.Af was due tues which never appeared.
I am now prepared for the loss and am awaiting bleeding/AF to arrive. I guess its best it happens now rather than days, weeks or months down the line.
good luck for sat tobago. Im going to a wedding on sat so told the bride who is a very close friend im preg so i will be very ver emotional and cant drink
Congratulations looby!

Getting fed up now,on cd 32 and have done 2 tests today but they were negative, have no idea whats going on,will try and wait till saturday before testing again, got a fancy dress to go to Sat so at least if i'm not i can get drunk!

Hey folks,
Good news i think. Things have picked up on the tests front guys. this mornings line was a bit darker and comparing the last four days they have got darker each day so hopefully little egg is attached well and progresing well. It is still early days so gonna test for a few more days to make sure its picking up. AF was due yesterday and it never arrived so thats a good sign hopefully.
Hope everyone else is well.
tobago any news?
I'm out.
Just jumped on April bus,
Good luck to everyone else
Know how you feel looby

.Just mentioned to dh that i have'nt come on yet and he said "but thought you said you were'nt pregnant?" he needs to keep up!! Said shall i do a test and he said i need to chill!

How am i supposed to chill when there might be a little person growing inside me?! Men!! Will try and hold off till wednesday if no af,he is working through the night tuesday so he wont know if i do test wednesday morning

Maybe going to concert will take your mind off it and help you relax!

Goodluck everyone

ApuskiDusky sorry to hear your AF arrived.
Good luck
tobago for wednesday would be good to be bump buddies as we would both be expecting no.3
It has just hit me tho that as i am currently preg and fingers crossed my little bean cont to grow then i will have three kids in 8 months. all under 3.5yrs old. Its quite scary really

i just want to relax a bit and be confident that the baby/egg is growing well, will test again tomorrow and tues to see if line gets any darker. Im going away down to manchester tomorrow to a concert with DH its 6 hours drive so i hope everything goes well and AF does not start. We should hopefully have a nice night and are staying in a posh hotel. Think DH thinks he will gets some BDing in but not sure!

of course he does not know this yet, hehe!
Will be in touch on wed to let you know how the tests are progressing. I love this site i feel like i have friends who care even tho i have no idea who or what any of you are like...
L xxx
Wow good news looby!A line is a line! When i did first test with 2nd dd it was really faint and shes now 2!Don't really know looby as not sure how long my cycles are as just come off the pill? will try and wait till wednesday to do a test again!

Sorry your off the bus Apuskidusky
Looby, so sorry to hear it's not been straightforward, fingers and toes crossed for you.
I'm now officially off the bus, AF arrived last night. Will keep an eye out for those remaining!
tobago hope you get your positive soon. how late is your AF?
I just did a first response test and i have got a positive, albeit faint it is there. The wee egg is holding on hope its a fighter and will thrive, i have been feeling crampy on left side where i think it has embedded. Hope its just putting up some strong ties to the wall of my uterus. I have not given up hope yet, and yes husband was disappointed i saw it in his face but he does not want me to get upset....or anymore upset than i already am. L x
Sorry to hear that looby, you never know though and Hubby probably does'nt want to make you feel worse or under pressure,i'm on cd 30 now and still no sign of either!
Hi folks,

Not good news i dont think. I did a test this morning and the line was hardly any darker than yesterday. I just did a first response one which came back BFN and the clearblues i did this morning were still very very faint. I fear this is a chemical pregnancy, exactly what i dreaded as i had one before and mc at 5 weeks. I gess im just waiting around now until i start to bleed. I will wait a couple of days and re-test and hope that maybe something dramatic happens. My period is due tomorrow and i feel hot sweaty and crampy (all usual AF symptoms) I want this little egg to stick and to thrive but i guess if my body is finding something wrong with it then i suppose its best it fail at this early stage. Im just on the waiting game now until AF starts or the tests get much stronger. I am very upset but my husband says it doesnt matter and we can try again next month. I suppose he just does not understand that i feel that my body has failed me. With m two little boys that i have had the tests were so much darker everyday i tested almost doubling in strenght. this one is struggling to increase by very much the same as the one i mc'd I will keep you up to date.

Hi, just tested.. and BFN

Used first response so I can't really convince myself that it's because I'm too early, so I think it's just a question of waiting for AF and starting again. April here we come.... oh, well, at least in Boots the tests were buy one get one free!
Yay! Congratulations Looby

I know exactly what you mean - I had to watch the line get darker over 6 (yes 6

) tests. It's just sinking in now that I have done a digital one and it actually said "pregnant" (2-3 weeks), but I will still do another digital one next week to make sure that it then says 3+ weeks....my goodness peeing on a stick has never been so much fun..
I feel so vulnerable too, its my first (not sure if that makes a difference) but every time I have a crampy feeling or anything I start to panic that something's going wrong. I hope I can relax soon! I am so happy though

Good luck to everyone else testing this weekend

thanks folks, yes my two are very close want a third and then we have them all close and we can hopefully have great friends in our kids. Im 27 too so wanted mine young so i was full of energy bringing them up as my mother was an older mum and she was boring! lol! maybe nothing to do with her age!

I still cant believe i got a positive. It wont sink in until i have done it for a few days and it gets darker as i said. Its strange i feel very vulnerable jst now that anything could go wrong. im going to just enjoy everyday as it comes and try and nurture my little fertilised egg! Tobago good luck for testing i did one yesterday and it looked negative, leave it out a few hours and then go back, i did and was surprised!
will be back tomorrow and tell you how it goes. good luck everyone else. tobago im sure you can get imaginative!

Lx
Great news looby!
I tested this morning too but it was negative

also just realised that when we go to stay with friends in switzeland in a couple of weeks is when i'd be ovulating, and we wont be sleeping in the same bed!! May have to get imaginative!

On the plus side i do think i did the test wrong as i wee'd past the arrow, don't know if that makes any difference? Plus when i was preg with dd2 i tested on day 28 and it was negative, went on to do a test a couple of days later and there was a really really faint line so who knows? Mothernature likes to keep us waitng!
P.S my 2 dds are 4.3 + 2.8,wow urs are really close together looby!
Looby, yay, fab news!!

Hello,

I tested again this morning and it positive! still ver faint but at least it appeared within the 2 minutes this time. husband can not really see it but its there. I did a digital one and was convinced it would say not preg but it came back pregnant 1-2weeks! Im so happy but trying to stay level headed as will test tomorrow and tues (af due day) and make sre line is getting darker as had positive before that ended in mc as line never progressed to darken.
Im over the moon tho, fingers crossed it will work out and stay and become a big fat positive.
Good luck to everyone else testing xxxx
hi all, i havent been on a ttc thread for a while as things havent been great. but hopefully emotionally i'm back on track...hopefully!
leonifay ttc#1 cycle 2(since mc) ucl 29-31
i wanted to say congratulations to the bfp's i recognise some of you from previous threads. i'm very happy for you.
Ooh, Looby, how confusing... fingers crossed for tomorrow morning.
I've not been out to buy a test today, so don't know if I'll test tomorrow or not. I've had brown discharge which sometimes heralds AF, but I also had this when I was pregnant with ds, so who knows. And I've been a bit of an emotional mess today, still not got over the work problems of the day before - does that could as a symptom?!
...let me just add it was a very very faint thin thin line making it a positive
tobago i hope it works for you. How old are your other little cherubs? Mine are 2.5 and almost 1. both boys.
I have had nothing. I tested earlier today and it was negative or so it seemed. I went back upstairs and i had left test on side of bed and there was a second line to the cross making it a positive sign this was 3 or 4 hrs later after doing the test. its the clearblue cross ones(cross or +ve sign if preg and - line if not preg). I threw it down to husband to look and he saw it too. but i dont wanna get my hopes up as its prob just an evaporation line after sitting drying out for a few hours. there was not nothing i did not think when i tested and looked at within the two mins. Has this happened to anyone else and were they actually pregnant or was it still a neg? Im hoping it was just such a faint positive that it bearly showed up and you know how the line goes stronger but thinner once it has dried in then i was wondering if it was that..................oh god, im so confused.
I did this test middle of the day after not peeing for 2 1/2 hrs so will do one tomorrow morning with first pee and see if there is anything. it is still 3 days till AF is due.
Love to all, L x
Hi ,this is my first month ttc#3 too loobylou, had a bit of cramping last night,im on cd28,bit too scared to test! Don't know why as this is planned!

Hi folks,
Just an update from me too. Did a test earlier today AF due tuesday and got a BFN again. Its not my month folks. Im 3 days early but using the early tests and still nothing. I will be jumping to next bus i think too. will wait till tues and make sure AF comes then hop ship. Good luck to all the others testing this weekend and hope it works out for you. Feeling a bit down but hey was only first month trying again.
Will be back on if anything radical changes i imagine it wont!

Hi nanoo, really sorry AF got you, all the very best for next time. And at least this month ovulation happened, so hopefully that's a good sign of what's to come.
Take care, may well see you on the April bus!
Hi Girls, just checking in to say goodbye - AF got me on Thursday afternoon. I've been feeling so miserable since I haven't been online. What a rollercoaster this month has been (and expensive - the fertility drugs costs us over £1K this month!!!). Off I hop to the April bus, full of hope and masses of good luck to you testing this weekend. Thanks for all your support.xxx
LOL Poppyjen, I have a mental image of your 5 tests all lined up! Did you take a photo?! Congratulations!!
And welcome tobago!
Hi everyone, can i jump on too?
Should be due on to day if i have a 28 day cycle but not sure as this is first month i have come off the pill,ttc#3,congratulations poppyjen!
oops, meant to say

not [bush].....
Those hormones must be getting to me already

Hi ApuskiDusky
In a word....yes...
Rather obessively I have now done 5 tests (4 first response and one normal tesco one) and all came back positive!!!
It was somehow extremely comforting to see the line get darker every day - yesterday the line matched the test line so I guess I'll have to start believing it now

I know a line is a line, but I have been (rather shamefully) lining the tests up next to each other so I can see the progression....my goodness TTC (or maybe pregnancy?) has made me strange. I was even tempted to take the latest test stick with me to work yesterday just so I could sneak a peek and remind myself [bush] I didn't I hasten to add....
I am so excited but it hasn't sunk in yet at all. I have a doctors appointment on Thursday morning so maybe it will start to feel a bit more real after that.
Good luck to all of you who are testing this weekend - I am sending positive thoughts and wishes your way

Hi all,
Well I'm back from my work trip and I'm still hanging in there, no AF yet, though I did have period-like pains yesterday. I had an awful day at work, quite upsetting, so I want to let emotions settle down before I test, will sleep on it I think! And I need to buy a test of course!
Hope it wasn't AF on Thursday, NewMember. Any more confirmation on the thin line Poppyjen?
Will check in tomorrow!
Evening Ladies!
Ok so today is cycle day 23 for me - I have been praying so much that this would be my lucky month! The last 3 days I have had a slight brownish discharge and some twinges in my lower tummy - so, is this AF on way?
So disappointed but i will NOT get down about it - I will just look forward to trying again! This TTC has def brought us closer - which is lovely

Hope u r all ok

Lou, yep, I'm getting dizzy - but I've looked it up and can't find out why it would be an early pg symp (raising progesterone levels maybe??). For me I think it's just stress and exhaustion (can't sleep with excitement/nerves). Listen to me, I sound ridiculous!
Teenycalls, you're v lovely to your friend - although I'm sure she would have been happy for you...and will be when it happens for you. My best friend has recently become pg again (we have same age DS already) - and she is moaning SO much about how crap she feels, morning sickness etc... V difficult to be understanding all the time
I would love to have morning sickness right now...
anyone getting serious dizzy spells, like when you stand up, or in general. Tesco is a bad one twice in last couple of days felt faint. Could be my antibiotics but has been for a week now anyway.
Lx
Congratulations
poppyjen!!
Glad you are feeling a bit more positive Looby, totally get what you're saying about the tests. This TTC lark can make the most logical of us go a little bit superstitious... that fact that you know it's not
really to do with the type of test you use is a good sign though

Just found out my friend's first go at IVF (after 3.5 years
and cervical cancer) hasn't been successful

I'm kinda glad I didn't get pg this month cos even though she never would have said I can only imagine how it would have made her feel.
Hey guys
Im happier today

I tested this morning again still negative. I still ahve my super douper two tests for the weekend. I bought the original clear blue ones that are lucky for me but dot ditigal ones sent to me in the post by mistake. They are more expensive tho so i guess thats a bonus. i dont really like then tho as used before my last positive so have a bit of a mental block that if i get a positive then i will then go on to MC. mental i know. Plus the are very final, either preg or not, you cant see how light the line is etc. Moaning over...
anyway hope everyone else is well, congrats to poppyjen. L x
poppyjen - how exciting, congrats.
Loobylou - thank for the suggestion that it could have been implantation bleeding, but unfortunately the bleeding started the first day that I finally got a negative test from the miscarriage that started the month before, so no way I could be pg yet! I was just surprised that the bleeding was so light as I was told that the remains of the m/c would come away with next af. Just hoping I get pg this month as generally fertility is higher after a m/c. Sorry to here that you are feeling low today.
Ok guys - this is not a drill.....
I was feeling a bit weird today and so gave in and took a First Response HPT this evening and it came back with a faint but definitely line-like positive....
EEEEEK!!!
I won't get off the bus just yet though, I am feeling a bit cautious at this stage and will test again tomorrow and a couple of days later to be sure....
Oh Lou, really sorry to hear you feel depressed. But why are you so sure you are not pg? Because of not having symptons yet (surely you wouldn't have any yet, it's too soon??). I have no symptons at all (unless, you'll laugh at this, piles is a sign of pg??! haven't experienced piles since that first week post-natal mess - what's my body up to?!).
Hold on for the weekend test x
Hi folks, signing in for today,
I am now convinced I am not pregnant. Im 99% sure im not. Just a hunch. I will test next weekend as i have the tests but its not mu month i dont think. I got the first response tests this morning that have terrible reviews that give false positives and i got a BFN so even i didnt get the positive then!
I will come back on soon, im addicted to this, i must chesk MN about 4 times a day. Im sad i know!
Im holding out for you guys tho and hope you get your positives.
feeling a wee bit depressed! Im still a moody bitch tho, and still feeling really quite dizzy and faint, maybe the antibiotics

Love to all x
Erm, meant to say BFPs, sorry! I guess a big positive fat describes the later stages of pg nicely though!

Thanks
nanoo, think i'm going to start referring to it as the 3ww though

Am very excited about you all testing at the weekend (a bit like testing myself but without the fear!) Hope we get a few more BPF's before the bus reaches the end of the road - I am on totally the wrong bus and am going to end up walking miles but it's worth it to sit with you ladies a little longer

Morning Ladies - we're one day nearer the weekend! Looks like there'll be loads of us testing at the weekend, great to be in it together. Got a confirmation from the hosp yesterday that I DID indeed ovulate (progesterone gone right up!). That's my first ovulation since Jan 2007 when DS was conceived. Yeah.
However, they did say not to bother testing until at least 1 week after the progesterone rise (so that's TWO WEEKS after ovulation). So hang in there New Member :-)
Teeny, real shame AF finally got you - although I know you already knew she was on her way. At least you are on your way in the next cycle and those crazy 2WW days are over :-)
Good morning ladies, hope you are well - and for those in the 2ww maintaining your sanity!
AF finally rocked up this morning so a 34 day cycle in the end, hope it's a one off caused by DIY hell for past 2 weeks (over now!)

Seems I now get sore boobs before periods then, anyone else get this? It's never happened to me before but have lost 2 stone in the past 6 months so could be a sign that my hormones are now stronger and i'm more fertile [clutching at straws emoticon]

Poppyjen - I had cramps before i got my BFP :-)
Hi ladies thank you very much for your welcomes

I ovulated around 26 June according to ovulation test, EWCM and cervical position ( I know....I'm doing the lot...) which was day 20 of my cycle so I am now about 10 DPO.
Currently driving myself crazy analysing every twinge...although I definitely have horrid cramps, has anyone experienced that and then gone on to have a BFP?
The wait until the weekend is going to be unbearable!
Thanks

Congrats to everyone who had a BFP since I've been on here last. Unfortunately I've missed the March 2010 bus. AF arrived 23/06/09 - have been too depressed to come on here and update. Thank you all for keeping me on the list during my absence.
I've taken myself off and think I might go catch the April 2010 bus. Good luck everyone. xx Sincerely hoping I DON'T see any of you on the April bus. xxx

Yea i know what u mean - I had a chemical pregnancy in Jan - although sometimes wonder if it could have been a false positive! The nurse does not think so tho ...
hmmmm!
newmember mine was tesco own brand. I just spent about half an hour trawling the net about tests. I had ordered the first response tests off ebay, but the consensus is that they give false positives most of the time. I think i will use them later this week and then back it up with another maybe clearblue to double check if it is positive. I do worry about testing early tho as i have had a miscarriage before and i know that chemical pregnancies are fairly common so would not want to test get a positive then have my period start due to it only being a chemical pregnancy(i was training to be an antenatal teacher so i know a lot about these things

I may just still hold off until next weekend and go get a clearblue one, a brand i can trust, i used it with both my boys and they were very accurate and trustworthy.

Hi Looby
Yea I have def tested 2 early - I have cramp like feelings tho! I am prob about 7/8 dpo - early I know! lol
I used the clearblue digital - what about you?
rainbowdays are you sure it was not just implantation bleeding? Have you tested?
newmember i gave in and tested too, but were way too early. I was not even meant to test till next weekend, still will test next weekend. mine was neg too. I was just curious. What test did you use? I knew mine would not show just yet, dont give up as i said if you just used the normal test then it will prob not show for at least four days anyway. When did you ovulate? I ov last sat i think, so i would only be 9dpo, thats pretty unheard of to get a HTP which i knew. Dont give up were in this together girl!
Yea I think I have tested early - day 12/13 I think! Today is day 20 so I know I am early - just going insane not knowing! My cycle has changed the past few months, going between 24-28 days! Feeling cramoy just now tho, so is this month going to be even shorter!

Oh no New Member - really sorry to hear. But isn't it a bit early?? When did you ov?
Gave in and tested - BFN

Still a bit early but doubt it this month!
Just checking in to check out, I think af arrived and went, it was a weird one, but I think I am now moving off this bus to the next one, hope everyone else gets a bfp rather than another bus ticket.

You ladies are lovely, thanks so much for your support

Nice to know we're 'normal' afterall!
Oh yeah, and what looby said as well. Said much better than i could've

Teenycalls - Dh and I had been married 9 years (together 14) when we first started ttc. We were very comfortable just us and the guineapigs

My first reaction on getting a BFP was 'oh s
*, what have we done!'. It was a major life change when ds1 arrived but for us it was definately for the better. A few years later we are going for no.3!
Hi girls, just checking in today to see how you're doing. Teeny calls, that's v lovely to hear that you are enjoying life as it is. In fact, in my humble experience, that is the best situation in which to conceive....if you can avoid thinking too hard about it (counting days, doing ov tests etc..) and just be natural it will prob happen eventually.
But personally I wouldn't intentionally give up TTC, as it might take time (it's taken me YEARS just to get to this point) - and if there are any fertility issues it's so much better to know sooner rather than later. I started TTC in 2000, had my first MC in 2001, DS eventually born in 2007, and here I am again trying to get him a sibling.... Obviously nothing like your experience, I guess I'm just saying don't leave it too late x

God, im so emotional today. Yesterday too i kept bursting into tears. My wee boy came over to me and gave me a cuddle and said "Mummy, whats wrong?", "you sad mummy?"

I just feel exasperated, hormonal, tired, frustrated and pissed off all at the same time. Mood swings galore, my husband is getting it right now! poor him. I wonder if i am indeed pregnant? I have not felt any implantation pain this time so far, had just a light background not even really there cramping sensation. Fuzzy boobs too. Nothing I can really put my finger one exactly. My period is due week tues but i can test at weekend as i ovulated i think last weekend. Ordered some 6 day early first response tests that will be here tomorrow off Ebay.

Anyone used those ones early?
Love to all, Lx
Thanks Looby - just the reassurance that I needed

teeny these feelings are normal.I have said to my husband that if im not preg this month im gonna wait 6 months before trying again. The reason being is that i have two little little boys already and my hip is completely knackered. my pelvis split a bit at the front during my last two pregs and i have a twisted pelvis which caused me a lot of pain when walking. Your feelings are normal. You love your dog right? well heres a wee story for you....one month ago we got a puppy, i thought she would be like a 3rd baby to me (not in a psychotic way, wasnt gonna dress her up and push her in a pram!) we got her and she was cute but there was no love there, nothing at all. She attacked my kids and scared them, then we decided enough was enough and we sent her back to the breeders because she was hurting my babies, my real babies. I have always loved animals (I will get to the point soon i promise...)and before having kids I loved then as I thought you would love a child, but the truth is the love you have for a child is a million times greater. As my story goes to show, you love your own flesh and blood and you would never let anything harm them. I can only tell you that I never had my life first or my career first as I had my first when I was 24 and I do not regret it. I love them more than anything on this planet. No-one knows how to look after a baby completely until the baby teaches you how to be its mum. It has its ups and downs but the first smile you get or the first time they say"Mummy, Wuv You!" your heart melts. I could not imagine a world without them they make my day and make this sometimes hard world a happy shiny place to live in.
ANyway enough of my silly little anecdotes, if its in your heart dont give up, please, its worth every ounce of worry and effort. Hope that helps x

Hi
nanoo, yes, AF is well and truly on her way - expected time of arrival approximately 5am tomorrow! I actually feel really relieved that the weirdest week of my life is over, I might actually be able to sleep tonight (nothing to do with the brandy & coke - only to wash the folic acid down mind)! Don't think i'll test in the future until day 40 tho.
This TTC lark is weird, when I thought I was pg reality kicked in and I realised just how much things will change and how absolutely clueless I am about having a baby! After nearly 11 years together and no DC, DP and I have a very nice lifestyle and our only real responsibility is our lovely dog. Don't get me wrong, we still want want a child and see it as a new, difficult, rewarding and joyous phase in our life but there is another part of me that thinks getting another puppy would be a better idea! Is that really wrong?

Guess what i'm saying is that if it doesn't happen just yet i'm happy to carry on enjoying things as they are...
What was everyone elses experience of finding out they were pg for the first time? Did anyone else have these conflicting feelings?
Hi ladies, may I join you? (I'm on the April bus too - just hedging my bets

)
I am TTC#1 Cycle 1 UCL 35 CD 28 - so I am due to test next weekend as well, hopefully!
The waiting is unbearable....
Thanks

Hi
nanooTime will tell I guess - its going to be a very long week

Oh Lou - poor you. It sounds miserable. But thank goodness you didn't get all this around ov, or you'd never have been able to BD!
Teeny, really sad to get your message - so AF got you?? That's unbelievable after all your symptons. Are you feeling OK about it?
Have a good week ApuskiDuskty - see you here next weekend for testing. Hopefully! Think Lou will be with us too.
*New Member*, I have no idea what implantation bleeding looks like - my sis got it for her last pregnancy, it lasted 1 day, so she thought it was just a short AF. Didn't know she was pg for weeks!
Evening Ladies!
Well today is day 19 for me - so I am 7/8 past OV! (TMI ALERT) After going to the toilet a few times today, I have noticed a brownish discharge!
Hmmm ... could this be a gd sign? Or is my body playing trickes on me?
Chin up
looby, being poorly is rubbish but it's a bit of a waiting game too, you'll start feeling better soon i'm sure

Well ladies, my phantom pg is over thank goodness, wasn't enjoying being the resident loon

Think i'm going to give this bus lark a miss next month, all this counting down and symptom spotting is a bit much for me (she says, until the 2ww next month!). I'll hang around and check in on this bus while it's still got fuel though

Good luck for testing next weekend ladies, i'll keep my fingers crossed for your BFPs!
Oh, Looby, sorry to hear things are so crap, it does seem like an awful lot all at once. Hope you're surviving the weekend OK.
I can't test til next weekend either, and I think my supposed symptoms seem to be disappearing. Oh, well, I've got a full-on week at work next week, and won't see my ds for 4 days

, so that'll keep my mind off pseudo-symptoms!
I'll see you here next weekend for the testing then...
He folks,
Just when i thought things could not get any worse health wise...i now have got conjunctivitis from my wee boy. So i now have conjunt and tonsilitis. I look like a pirate, my eye is so bloody sore and red and my throats kills! I feel like crap and look like crap too

My husband just laughed at me this morning. He is working all weekend so im on my own with my two kids. Not an easy job to the point im really wondering if i could cope with being pregnant again and having another baby. I cant test until next weekend but feel so guilty for feeling like this, i will be so happy if im pregnant and love the baby as much as my other two i just wonder if i will struggle with it. Sorry for my depressing thoughts!
symptom wise i have on and off sore boobs, ocassionally stabby pains bt just a hightened fuzzy sense in them. I feel sick a bit but could be the antibiotics and im emotional, prob because i look a bit like a car crash with my gammy eye! feeling sorry for myself

Lou x
Hi
nanoo, have promised DP i'll do another test in the week if AF doesn't show - either way i'm out for the day tomorrow so glad she's not here yet! I will probably leave it until Wednesday though, does anyone have any advice on the best early HPTs? I used a Superdrug own brand one this morning.
I still feel like I have symptoms, left boob is particularly sore, I don't feel like eating anything strong tasting and usually love curries, humous etc. Also stood on the scales this morning and have randomly lost 3lbs so not a sign of pre AF water retention...Feel like a freak with my phantom pg! I would understand it if I were talking myself into it or really desperate for it to be this month but it's only month 3 and I am happy for it to happen when it happens - as I see it DP and I have been together 10 years so another few months won't make any difference!
<Rant over>
Anyone else due to test soon or have any interesting symptoms (apart from the sore elbow which is a given!)

Hi girls, just checking in to see how teenycalls was doing. Feel really sad the test came back negative. V v odd, with all those symptons - but can't be certain til AF gets you. Maybe you ovulate really late in your cycle so need to wait a few more days. Why not test again on Mon/Tues?
I'm due at the hospital on Mon to have a progesterone test - that'll tell me if I ovulated at all (I haven't managed to ovulate since DS which is over 20 months - hence the need for fertility drugs). Then it's another week waiting before I can think about testing. Wow it's a LOOOONG wait....I've NO symptons (except obviously the aching elbow) - when should symptons start???
did you try another stick
teeny could have been broke?
Its strange your AF has not started, stress can hold it back

I have friends who know were ttc, but they think were absolutely mental.
Hi all,
Yes, you're right, it's not over till AF makes an appearance. Bit of a waiting game really - DP is convinced the test was faulty!
Looby I had and still have stabbing pain in left breast but I am clearly insane and have a phantom pregnancy! Was worried I would be upset but am feeling surprisingly positive - perhaps I had to go through this to get over my fear of peeing on a stick lol

Glad no-one in real life knows we're TTC, would feel like a proper numpty!
aww! I keep getting a stabbing pain in my right breast today. Its really sore, anyone else getting this too? I remember having it first pregnancy, but dont wanna get hopes up.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for all your get well wishes. Feeling pretty rubbish actually. Managed to drag myself to walking with dinosaurs - arena spectacular last night and wow! it was absolutely fabulous. I felt a bit sick second half and nearly ran out. Dont know if its the penicillin or poss preg? fingers crossed.
teeny sorry to hear your test came back neg, but its not over until AF starts, i will keep fingers crossed for you. I did wonder if we were the only two left on here too.
Love to all, one 1ww now! I guess i will start to get symptoms sometime this week if im preg. x
hi ladies, just popping on to say hi and how you're all doing. sending you lots of positive vibes, teeny sorry to hear about AF, your symptoms sounded promising

looby i hope you feel better soon
lots of luck to you all xx

I was checking in to see what happened with you, teeny, really sorry it wasn't a BFP.
I guess it isn't totally over until AF, so will still keep my fingers crossed for you!
Well, I saved my pee all night and did the test this morning before I was awake enough to care. Not up the duff, just insane - clearly! Guess I can cross weird boob sensations, lumpy nipples and heartburn off my list of obvious signs.
Just have to wait for AF to get back off her holibobs now so we can try again, think I will stay on the bus till then....On the bright side, red wine with dinner tonight!
PMSL at boob prodding
Apuski I too am guilty

Hi Girls, I'm still here! you're not the only ones here. I've been rationing myself on MNs as I'm only on DPO6 and I'm already obsessed. Agh. But I had to check in tonight as I wanted say hi to teenycalls to see if how you were feeling about testing. I just really feel for you being so scared. I'm gonna be exactly the same next weekend.
When I got pg with DS I waited til all the symptons were SO obvious that the test was just so I could tell the doc. Think I was about 9 weeks pg already by then!
ApuskiDusky - yep, my boobs get a prod at least twice a day in the hope something will change. I'm getting hungrier too, but it's nerves....or just a good excuse to reach for the Ben&Jerries

Looby, hope you feel better soon xx
Checking in - still here, trying very hard not to symptom spot. Feeling a bit sick from time to time and I'm sure I'm getting hungrier. Does anyone else periodically prod themselves in the boobs to see if they are tender?

Oh
looby poor you

I hope you feel better soon. On the positive side at least it's not swine flu

I feel a bit 'motion sick' today and am very much looking forward to doing my HPT in the morning to find out one way or another as AF seems to have gone on holiday!
Take care of yourself x
P.S. Are we the only one's in here now?

woohoo I have tonsilitis, got penicillin to make me all better.
Hey folks,
Was sure im pregnant, i could still be only thing is all symptoms i have are strep throat! going to see doc in an hour, but the feeling sick and dizzy and headache have all joined together with a killer sore throat prob strep throat of swine flu. feeling absolutely terrible. body is aching! The thing with ttc is that there is a poss of being preg so they prob wont/cant give me anything for it.......
will let you know what doc says.

Dlamis sorry you've been feeling poorly, glad you're better now though and ready to jump back in the saddle as it were
Looby re-read my post - it did sound rather bleak didn't it. Truth is I do 'feel' like I might be pg but i'm a bit frightened to admit it in case i'm wrong

. Still no sign of AF and no cramping today... am going to test Sat a.m as if am pg will def show up by then and only have one test left

Fingers crossed for both of us. I'll keep you posted

Hi all. Well we're out for this month. Pretty sure i have already 'o'd but since i've had a nasty bug/virus/(swine flu according to dh lol) for the last week we have got round to any ttc'ing this month. Good luck to everyone testing soon, and hope I don't see any of you (i mean that in the nicest possible way) on the next bus.
Hi
teenythis is ur first baby isnt it? You seem very down about testing. I know the disappointment that comes with negative tests and mc but you seem very down beat. I know you fear a negative test but you must stay positive. you have pg symptoms! I know my body yes as i have had 3 previous pregnancies two that resulted in live births, one mc but i could be wrong about being preg too. You can test on your af due day, both my boys i tested early and got positives maybe 1-2 days early. that was first response. I think your preg, having been there before but i understand your carefulness (is that even a word!)

I wish you luck..

Hi
looby, no, i'm definitely waiting until Saturday but still have the weird boob thing going on and have started feeling a little sick, keep telling myself i'm not pg though just to stay sane!
Your symptoms sound very promising, it's good that you trust your instincts but I guess when you have been pg before you know the signs.

So you are one week into the 2ww, at this rate you'll be testing before me, I am such a wimp! To be honest I would rather AF get me than get a BFN

Hi everyone
teeny have you tested yet?
Im 6dpo now and think im getting symptoms. Feel flu like symptoms, i did with last preg too....maybe im just ill. I ran to the loo earlier and nearly threw up. im feeling dizzy, have the worst headache ever for last two days, cramping and weird breast sensations. This would be my third baby so i am keeping fingers crossed its been first time trying lucky! If im gonna say instinctively I would say im preg, heres hoping tho...
hope everyones well x

Hi
nanoo, yes, still got the sensitive nipples but as DP pointed out they could just be getting chaffed in the hot weather (lovely!)
Like you say, best to try and keep busy. The worst time is when i'm at work as things are painfully quiet and I keep coming on MN! Maybe I should bring my ice cream distraction technique to work with me (wanders off to check if office fridge has freezer compartment)

Big congrats Summer! This bus is amazing!
The waiting is so hard teenycalls - I totally feel for you being scared to do the test. Feeling crabby could be PMT, but you said you had other signs - are you still feeling them? Gotta keep yourself really busy between now and Sat to make the time go fast....
Well, I think I might have a certain pharmacy under the trades description act. Just read the small print on my 'tells you if you're pg 4 days before your period' HPTs and they base that on 16DPO! This means I can't test until Saturday... feel slightly relieved that I don't have to do the scarey test but i'm also worried that I will REALLY convince myself that I am pg by then if AF doesn't arrive

Feel a bit crabby now, maybe it's PMT....
congrats summer! Well done

Morning all,
The witch got me last night

, I kinda new she was on her way when I kept getting a BFN so not feeling too bad about it.
Well done to all our BFPs and good luck for those of you testing soon. Hope the April bus will be as lucky as the March one

!
Hi All,
Well for the past 4 days i have been getting lots of symptoms. Cramping, tender breasts, feels slightly sick etc etc.
So I must admit I caved early and tested yesterday am and got a BFP! AF not due until Friday though so will get more excited then and waiting till Friday really to just be sure.
But I was very surprised how dark the line was at 10DPO.
Good luck for today teenycalls!
NewMember your doctor sounds very sensible, i'm glad you seem a little more relaxed than earlier. Does your DP take zinc? I've heard this can increase the quantity and quality of sperm - even if it just has a psychological effect it might be worth it.
Nanoo your post has made me feel quite excited but I just keep telling myself it's something to do with the heat! May try to summon up courage to POAS tomorrow (looks around room for witnesses and starts thinking of excuses to get out of it!)

Any news from your corner
Summer2008?
Hi Ladies ...
Ok so DP just back from docs (he went to see about sperm check etc)
The doctor has said to put it off for few months before testing! He said with his weight/life style/ health etc there would be very little change of problems!
He advised that we CALM down a little bit, become more relaxed and consider turning my CBFM off for a few months - as it might be causing more stress and anxiety!
So... I think we will take his advice and see where we are in 3 months time!
Please Please work bofore then

Teenycalls that's sounding v v exciting. I'm just like you - I get too scared to test. It was burning nipples that eventually told me DS was on the way. And sudden dislike of tea. Anyway, in your shoes, I'd keep up with the magnums. Actually I'd keep up the ice-cream either way

.
(Looks around a what is now a fairly quiet room)
Sorry to all the ladies that evil AF has caught up with, feel quite sad now you're off on the April bus, I will be hanging around for at least a few more days as not a sniff of AF and far too scared to test!

How are all you other ladies getting on, any symptoms? My gammy elbow has gone away but a more interesting turn of events has developed. My nipples feel like they are on fire and have been getting more sensitive, I have also noticed some paler 'nobbles' around them that i'm pretty sure weren't there before... trying not to get my hopes up and distracting myself with mint magnums and handbag buying shenanigans!

Thank you
Teeny. I just hope the tests come back ok - then I think nature will take its course as I will be more relaxed!
As u say, we will tackle anything thrown our way!
Fingers crossed it will all be gd news

Thanx again
x

Best wishes to everybody else who is still waiting to test!
ApuskiDusky were on the same day

2ww aghhh!
i got my days mixed up today is actually day 15 for me.so..
LoobyLou82 TTC#3 Cycle 1 CD15
nanoo I ovulated i think on sat thats when i felt the pain, not doing the sticks so cant be sure. I was also extra horny and now im not as horny so i either sickened myself with all the sex we were having or im no longer fertile! I will BD tonight as today is my day 14 and that seems to be the average ovulation day so best do it just to be sure

its have work being a woman!
Well done
teenycalls i could not handle waiting, you hav done brilliantly, go test as im dying to find out if your, to use a Glaswegian term, "up the duff" Fingers crossed your pregnant x Good Luck
LoobyLou - I've definitely got the old sore elbow. Painful to even write this post.

Actually, I only ovulated on Sun - so guessing implantation is a long time off yet (next Sun??). How come it's only Tuesday...?
Hello ladies, I've been on holiday so haven't been checking in. AF got me yesterday when we stopped at the service station on the long drive home from the Lakes

So I guess I'll go and hop on to the April bus but congrats to all the BFPs and good luck to everyone else!
Hi
NewMember, if you are getting so stressed about TTC then I guess getting tests is the right thing as it might set your mind at at rest and there is no doubt that being relaxed helps with TTC. I have moments where I think that we might have problems but the chances are that we
don't. Whatever the results, remember it only takes one! And there are so many options these days. If your relationship is strong enough to TTC then it is strong enough to handle anything else.
I think one of the problems with us ladies is that we are so used to having control over everything in our lives and then we TTC and have no control whatsoever! Just try to enjoy the rollercoaster, chances are you will be getting off soon IYSWIM

Good luck

(Moral support emoticon)
Hi Ladies,
I went to the Nurse yesterday as I am getting a bit stressed out with trying to conceive, think its almost 8 months! She said the CBFM is so accurate - they dont need to do OV tests as I am obv OV!
My DP is going to the docs today to discuss a sperm check! Has anyone else had there DP do this - I am so scared if there is a prob!
We would both be devastated - I am so worried for him incase he gets a wee shock! He is so confident in thinking he will be ok!
What do u think?

Update for today, still haven't tested

How is everyone else doing, any convincingly sore elbows?

teenycalls your post made me laff. I cant resist either, i was the same with my first two pregnancies. I even tested again when i was 10 weeks pregnant to make sure the "bean" was still there and that i was still pregnant. Its so easy to become obsessed. I have been smptom spotting even tho its only two dpo, sad i know. But i have convinced myself im pregnant. So easy to do tho...hope i am. I already feel sick, faint, have terrible headache, and i have the classic
sore elbow so must be true! even this early...

sweetkitty there is 19 months between my two DS's and if i fall pregnant this month then it would also be 18 months gap too. I just want another now as im already in the baby zone and dont wanna wait five years then go back to start again. That way i get them all out of nappies within the shortest space of time

Knowing that pg tests are in the drawer is almost as bad as knowing that choc from Hotel Chocolat is hidden in a drawer...can I resist such delicious choco? Let's just say that I'm better at resisting HPTs than Hotel Chocolat

<<takes halo off>>
Well I
did go in Boots but I
didn't buy a HPT, bought some lovely bronzey face highlighter instead

(temporarily feels very virtuous...)
However, I cracked and went in Superdrug about 10 minutes later and bought a 2 pack! I justified this on the grounds that I
will need them at some point, they are now calling to me from my drawer - DP is going to have me carted off in a white van if this carries on! Determined not to test until at least Wednesday

(makes note to get tips on self restraint from
Summer2008 and
NancyPreg...)
teeny the smoking gun for me was the elbow pain - that has
got to imply a successful month of ttc

. Your list sounds very promising...did you resist Boots earlier?!
summer I think we're all symptom spotting - it's almost impossible not to, although I am trying to keep my mind from wandering too much...at least until a few more days have passed

teenycalls - Your post really made me laugh! I thought I was the only one symptom spotting mad.
Seems like were on the same calendar day, so fingers crossed this is your month and anyone else due to test soon.
Ooh, good luck to all you OVing ladies, I expect lots of BD from you

I am on CD27 and symptom high alert:
I feel exhausted (could be all the DIY)
My mouth tastes funny (could be garlic breath)
My tea smells a bit bleachy (maybe they Chlorinated the water)
I have very mild cramping and have since CD20 (could be onset of AF)
My nipples are sore (could have caused this by constant checking if nipples are sore!)
My elbow hurts (I know, i'm scraping the barrel!)
I know i'm a fruit loop but know you ladies understand

Off into town at lunch and will have to resist the magnetic pull of Boots

missiek sorry af got you but glad you are feeling positive and looking forward to getting down and dirrrty with dh this cycle!!
sweet I'm an old hand at this ttc lark too - I hadn't thought about it in numerical terms until I saw your post but this is my 6th time ttc

a fact that quite surprised me when I realised!
I think ttc bucks the trend because in other aspects of life, the more experience you have of something (e.g. an activity or a job or whatever), the easier it becomes...not with ttc!!

Sweetkitty - Hurray for af arriving. There's only you on this thread we can say that for

I seem to be getting a bit of ewcm already this month so hopefully 'o' is going to be a bit earlier this month. Bloomin' irregular cycles, never know what's going on.
loobylou - I am a fan of small age gaps, I want all my children close together is possible, there is 18 months between DD1 and 2, 2 1/2 years between DD2 and 3 (wanted it closer wasn't to be) and DD3 is 11 months just now. DD1 and 2 are so close and play so well together.
Nanoo mittelschmitz for me feels like a pain on either side a dull achy pain that lasts about a day. This time it was my laft side and was really quite painful. My left ovary is my lucky ovary, both DS's were conceived from eggs from that side too, so fingers crossed its a good one this month too. I get it really quite sore, its like a stabby pain that kind of throbs for about 24 hours. I was joking last night that as it was more painful than nornal that my body may have prodced two eggs, twins! on top of two little boys under the age of 3 1/2. Nanoo I think your 5 days ahead of me so yes im in the 2ww part now too as think i have ovulated.
sweetkitty im going thru this for the 4th time so i know how you feel. Have two boys and had a mc too.
good luck everyone
misiek - aww sorry AF got you, wine is vital on CD1 of a new cycle, she got me yesterday as well so we are going to be new cycle buddies, I have registered myself over in the April thread too. I cannot believe I am going through all this TTC business again, this will be the 5th time

TBH I am a little scared as well, 4 children

Today's update
missie glad you are feeling positive for this cycle. I hope you're lucky

thanks for the support girls, it really has helped. Maybe I'm not past it just yet

. Anyway, the witch got me yesterday, but am feeling much more positive for some strange reason. Had long talk with DH and we're going to give a proper go this month (oooerrr). I'm cutting down on the wine (yesterday doesn't count LOL), going to take my vits and eat healthily and try not to get stressed and will use the opk tests too. Going to stay on this bus as its a lucky one! Come on, lets see more BFP's. x
Thanks
Nancy, I will do my best to wait until Thursday - hoping that AF doesn't get me first

Is it bad that I was secretly hoping that they had invented at HPT that could accurately tell you if you were pg as soon as you had BD'd and that I just hadn't heard about it?

I was playing the 'do you think I am' game with DP earlier to which he replied 'Pink and hairy, not crystal!'. Charming!
Thanks for the AF congratulations ladies, feels strange though as when I looked at my chart it's exactly when I should have had AF so I had one on 8th May then nothing, then this one, one AF was missing completely, am going to purchase some OPKS this month just to see if I am OVing again used to be CD15.
Last time I got PG we BDed CD11 and 13 and missed OV completely, I thought we had missed the window but there you go, nature is a funny old thing and the first two times I was pregnant it was ONCE that month.
LOM - sorry about AF even with a BFN you still have a wee bit of hope until AF comes acalling
nanoo - I wouls describe mittelschwerz as a dull ache low down on one side lasts a few hours, I always preferred to use EWCM as better indicator
LOM that's too bad, even though you'd had a BFN it still sucks! Better luck awaits you on the April bus, you'll see!
Looby it is possible that you did enough bd around the time of ovulation to secure a fertilised egg!
nanoo mittelschmerz is a lower abdominal sensation that accompanies the release of an egg; it's hard to put into words what it feels like! Sort of like a tugging/pulling sensation, quite noticeable but not painful in the ordinary sense of the word...I can usually determine which ovary the egg pops out of too when I get this sensation although I have a friend who has never felt herself ovulate (according to Wiki, only 20% of women ever experience it).
teeny I guess it depends when you think you ovulated? Why not wait until CD30, somewhere in the middle of the min and max UCL?
sweetkitty congratulations on getting AF! Feels a little surreal saying that on this thread!
Have been saved from the madness of the 2ww this weekend as DIY galore but work tomorrow so back to wondering if I am up the duff aproximately event 5 seconds! My last cycle was 29 days but can be up to 32, any advice about when to test?
Ps what does the mittelschmitz feel like?
Loobylou, I'm no expert, but the docs at my fertility clinic (am currently having treatment) say every two days is fine. Apparently sperm can live about 2-3 days inside - so missing a day isn't so much a problem. However they do say, for our best best chance we should BD every day around ovulation. My DH is exactly the same - in fact he's far worse - he gets so stressed about performing during ovulation (because we've been wanting this so desperately for so long), that sometimes we miss it entirely :-(
V pleased you're on the bus at it looks like we ov roughly the same time...so we'll be doing the painful 2WW together. I'm counting mine from today [starts tapping fingers on table impatiently]
Well, the AF got me today, ladies. Not too sad, had tested earlier so I was expecting it. Time for the April bus! Congrats to al of us who no longer need the ride... xx
lurking to see if there are any more BFPs!!

I cant wait to BD again this month!!!
Hi Ladies,
Got my 'peak' this morning - managed to BD last night, will also make love tonight

Suppose I will really be the April bus but I will hang out here a wee while longer
Had the mittelschmitz ovulation pain last night but husband went in a mood adn did not want to have sex. This ttc business is a passion killer sometimes. I said i was fertile i thought and that we should have sex, but no oral or lube (sorry tmi) and he was just not up for it. It seemed all to clinical. Our other two boys were concieved thru passion and this time a bit of the spark has gone. Maybe lack of energy as we have had sex the three nights before. Can i still concieve if we just do it every two days? anyone in the same boat? x

well done oscarsmumm and big congrats!! Have put you on the Grad list!
WeeTiger any news with you? Hope your BFN turns into a BFP....
Looby sounds as though you are indeed on the right bus!
sweetkitty yay, it's always cheering when somebody is actually glad to see af for a change...let's hope this will be her last visit to you for a long time !
I am so excited AF has started this morning

so CD1 for me
He folks, thanks to everyone for your welcome messages. Am I on the right bus?, i think if i fall pregnant this month the due date would be 23rd March, so that means im still on this bus? Congrats to all the BFP's! Hope I and everyone else can join you soon.
YAY oscars mum!!!!

Congratulations to all our
BFP's - I didn't think we'd get that many!

Sorry to everyone who the witch has got this month

- hopefully next month will be lucky!
Not sure where I stand at the moment - on my AF due date - she's still not appeared but getting really bad cramping like she's just around the corner. Did a HPT this morning but got a BFN

so will sit tight for the next few days and test again but got a feeling this is not going to be my month.
Wow you ladies have been busy.
Congratulations on all the BFP's.
Sorry to everyone who's had to stay on the bus this time.
Hey everyone,
Please can I officially join the Graduate list I got a BFP this morning - very faint but still a positive

!!!
This is proving to be a lucky bus - fingers crossed for everyone testing shortly !
xxxxx
flowering that's too bad for you and particularly so because af was two whole days late - which is just plain mischievous. Would you like to go back on the list as CD1 or would you prefer to hop onto the April bus? Either way, I hope that this brand new cycle will be the one for you
teeny glad the vino was fun but not so good about the plumbers [noisy] Yes, the 2ww would be much more bearable if it was, say, a 1ww!
Good luck to any weekend testers...
Morning girls,
Hope everyone feeling ok.
The witch got me at 5am, 2 days late. The worst night of cramps, wind and weeping I have ever had. Nice... don't you just love being a woman?
Welcome to the thread
Looby, as you can see we've been on quite a roll this month so good luck for a BFP!
Nancy the wine was lovely but probably wasn't a good idea as I have the plumbers here today! I currently have about 100 decibels (sp?) coming from upstairs! I see we're moving nicely up the list, not long to go thank goodness, I officially hate the 2ww. I convinced myself I had a funny taste in my mouth last night, a bit like I had chewed a teaspoon but it disappeared when I cleaned my teeth

<pops back>
missiek I'm 36, no children and just got a BFP so chances are your ovaries aren't quite shrivelled yet

I went to the doc as soon as I started to TTC, lied brazenly and told them I was trying for over a year and got all the tests (progesterone, LH/FSH etc). Maybe do the same to set your mind at rest?
Good luck everyone and hope to see y'all on the antenatal thread <slopes off again>

Hi Folks,
Can i join yor ttc bus? Im fertile in a few days and hope to conceive quickly, it will only be first month trying again. I already have DS aged 2 1/4 and a DS aged 10 months. Want to have another baby then thats it all over and done with lol! Im 27 and DH is 32. We must be crazy but they will hopefully be all great friends as they will all be approx 19/20 months difference in age.
Lou x
Missiek am crossing everything that it's not the witch.
I have exactly the same fears as you - have had blood tests that came back normal previously and have only been trying a few months. But it feels like FOREVER and because i've never been pg I can't be 100% certain that everything works. We just have to be positive I guess. At the end of the day we will do whatever it takes to have a baby so it WILL happen [moral support emoticon]
Sorry Missi, hang on in there girl
Oh
missiek I hope it's not af

I guess all you can do is wait now and see how it develops. And your age is not against you - 36yrs old is still plenty, plenty young enough to have a baby, plenty, plenty young enough. I know that 4mths must seem like an eternity to you but it really isn't and no doctor would agree with you...sooo, you can either go to see your GP and fib, saying that you've been trying for much longer than you have been or else you can set yourself a deadline to be either pg or visiting your GP.
You
do have plenty of time to get your family, you
do <<repeat like a mantra>>
Spotting again, I just know its over for me this month. Been checking previous cycles, and i had a 24 day cycle 11 months ago, so it could well be happening again, its just so unfair, I really wanted this to be the month, more than ever

want to cry cos i can feel slight twinges now (i think) and i just know its all over. Although have been seriously trying for 4 months, not been using contraception since last November and my age is against me, I'm 36, past it if you believe some stories in the news. Should I contact my GP? I had HSG test 7 years ago (in previous relationship) and it came back all clear, although I was not really desperately trying then. My DH had a child in his previous relationship so also know everything is ok with him. Why isn't this happening for us?

teeny grab yourself a glass of vino and enjoy!
Somebody mentioned having some cramps well I've had that too but I think this is normal because the way I see it is the endometrium doesn't know in advance whether an egg will be fertilised or not so it has to ready itself regardless - just in case a fertilised egg floats past! And that's what the cramps are: the lining preparing itself! That's my explanation anyway and
nothing whatsoever to do with ttc, symptom spotting or anything else related to pg
flowering definitely test again tomorrow morning and it could make all the difference, fingers very tightly crossed for you...
Missie you are not doing anything that the rest of us don't do! The 'eating like a pig' thing seems interesting though, I did have an icecream AND chocolate last night

Would really love a glass of pink wine tonight, should I risk it? I guess it can't do any harm considering I have had copious amounts of pate this month and what with all the DIY have inhaled/splattered myself with paint & weedkiller more than once. Was also on a course of steroids at the beginning of the month and only found out yesterday I am supposed to be taking folic acid...if there is a bean it will certainly be resilient. Feeling bad now

{Promises to be well behaved prospective Mum from now on}
Hope so too, fingers crossed for every single one of us.
No cramps, no more spotting, frantically rushing to loo every 10 mins though. Fingers crossed for you
floweringcurrant its sounding good

I'm going to follow your lead
teenycalls and go DIY crazy over the weekend, got loads i need to do so it'll take my mind off it. Unless of course the evil witch makes an appearance (mumbling no no no stay away you evil wicked witch). Might test Tues if no sign. (Not holding breath though)BBS extremely sore today and Ive had that shaky feeling when you're really hungry (although eating like a pig). I'm just making symptoms up now arent i?
Lol! Hope so

ok I just worked that out.... durrrr.
see what i mean pregnancy porridge brain already!
Hi Teeny, thanks what does FMU stand for?
I would say that you definitely need FMU to get an accurate result this early (says the woman that's never had a BFP!). If you can't wait until tomorrow to re-test you could try 'saving it up' for a few hours and not drinking too many fluids - that way it shouldn't be too diluted

Hi everyone,
Congrats to the latest BFPs. Its lovely to see so many. Sorry to those didnt or who are in limbo land.
Am feeling hideously emotional tbh.
Am now 1 day late ( never happens) and have several symptoms. But just did a test and it was BFN. Would it have made a difference if I had done it first thing?
I'm confused because I feel like I might be.
Anyone advice on which is best test to use?
PS Sorry for the emoticon overkill! (Write note to self to preview before posting...)
Hi
missie I think it is all a test to make sure our nerves are up to the task of becoming a mum

The spotting might not mean anything, or it could mean that you are pg

or that AF is imminent

will keep my fingers crossed the evil witch stays away!
I have had cramps the past few days but nothing today, thought my nips looked weird in the mirror this morning but could be a figment of my imagination

Can't realistically test till Wednesday, not sure how i'll hold out that long...luckily DIY madness at my gaff this weekend so plenty of distractions

hi everyone,
BYM congratulations, fantastic news, so pleased for you! Can i swap seats and sit where you were sitting please?
nanoo twins would be great!
liaghen i'm sorry, have a lovely holiday, relax and enjoy
teenycalls and
nancypreg can I join you with the mad sympton spotting, although have been spotting slightly again and now feeling really down and feeling like its just never going to happen to me. My cycles have been 27-30 days for ages now, so why is my body playing these tricks on me?! aargghhh
lots of luck to those testing today!!

nanoo those follicles sound promising and twins would be very exciting!
liaghen you are entitled to feel disappointed when af arrives but your impending holiday could be just the tonic you need - are you going anywhere special?
donttry all the very best of luck to you but do come back and visit if you get the chance!
teeny you are a CD ahead of me so we can symptom spot together!!
Hope everyone is OK - there are lots of ladies on CD28 atm so come on, let's have today's batch of BFPs!
liahgen i'm so sorry you were disappointed, TTC certainly is a rollercoaster of emotions and it's difficult to keep in mind that there will be something at the end of it all that makes it worthwhile. I really really hope that this is the month for you.

I am finding the 2ww particularly agonising this month and am becoming addicted to MN! Symptom spotting galore but think I have convinced myself now that our timing was off this month which may just keep me sane and not get my hopes up too much

[looks around to see if anyone heard the obvious lie she just told!]
Delighted for you BYM!
Guess I should slope off to an antenatal thread, so the best of luck everyone and thanks for the laughs!
Hi all,
Been away from this thread for a week as was particularly disappointed about arrival of af for me last week.
So.. onwards and upwards as they say, preggers this month would give me 22 march so may join April bus too.
congratulations to all the bfp's, long my they continue.
Going on holiday Saturday, so hopefully willl come back with more than just a sun tan.
Night all.
nanoo i'm sure you will ovulate, you have all the signs of its impending arrival!!!!

no i didnt manage to keep it a secret for long!!! hehee!
BYM that's FANTASTIC news. Having followed you on the bus for some time I felt genuinely happy when I read your post. It's SO exciting. Would love to know if you succeed in keeping it from your man. Keep us posted!
Thanks for all the advice on EWCM - busy weekend for me then!! I also had a scan at the hospital today...and there are TWO follicles of 16mm. So of course I can't stop thinking...twins

. Imagine that!
But seeing as I haven't ovulated, nor fertilised an egg, nor implanted etc...etc... I need to stop dreaming!! In the meantime, there's work to do...
OMG
Bella congratulations to you! It's good that you tested today because we have a reputation to keep up on this bus - one BFP every single day!!

What a wonderfully long Graduate list we have now...and there's
still a very long list of bonking ladies waiting to join it

Fantastic news BYM - Hugh Congrats x
ooh nanoo yes ewcm means you are very fertile and about to ovulate, so get busy tonight!!! you can have ewcm for a few days and you are most fertile on your last day of ewcm or wetness, good luck!!!
sorry cosmosis about the job, thats really poo

LOM sorry to hear about you BFN, dont give up just yet!!
well you lot with all your crazy testing made me go and test which i said i was not going to do until D-day (sunday i think), anyway saw a shadow of a line on a cheapie internet (had to actually look away to see it, lol), and was like no way totally seeing it. So just peed on a first response and its a YES!!!!!!!!! i cant believe it!!! not going to tell DH if i can help it as i promised not to test til next week and he'll just worry that AF will come, then again i dont know if i can keep it in!!! i hope this bean sticks, i dont know if i can handle another mc.
Hi
BYMNo, no, not at all!!! Sorry if it sounded like that ... lol (always sounds worse when communicating over the internet) haha! Not offended at all!
Our day will come

LOL LOL and LOL again at bloomers!
Nancypreg PMSL. I live near a pebbly beach, most of which ended up in me bloomers [winks]
Cosmosis good luck with the job situation, hope it won't be too stressful for you but something always turns up, even when things look really bad. Would you like your name to remain on the list?
nanoo sounds as though things are happening at your end <<excuse pun>> but there's no need to panic because the fertile window is just that, a window - which opens for more than a few hours so you just need to get busy tonight, tomorrow, the weekend... [phew]
donttry what if it's been raining and the stones are all wet [chortles]

, sorry couldn't resist! Still, the stone method may well be just as good as our OPKs <<sees a dry stone, puts in pocket>>
LOM sorry for your BFN but until af arrives there is still some hope so don't give up just yet...

My AF is due on Sunday but of course like a fool I caved today and tested - BFN. Have shed a little tear in the loos at work. Big congrats to all the new BFPs though!!
God, typos all over the shop...
EWCM is your fertile time
In some cultures^
^their fangos
nanoo the word on da street is that if you see EWCM this isn your fertile time. Apparently in some culties the girls are told to rub a stone along theit fango and if its wet its babytime, if its dry its not.
The most fertile day apparently is the last day of EWCM or a wet feeling in yer lady bits.
As you can only know the last day in retrospect. dr donttry bossyknickers orders you to bonk the bejaysus out of your fella every day of the EWCM and the day after for good measure!
thanks missiek, it is indeed unsettling. I am lucky in that I have never been through it before, but it's not something I am keen to go through again!
oh no cosmosis thats awful, its really unsettling isnt it, i've been through it myself a few times, but always works out for the best (trying to be positive). I feel for you hun, keep your chin up. [hug]
Hotel Chocolat sounds like a plan, let's go!
It's not official, but I'm 100% certain because of what they've told us about the restructure.
As my cycles are still funny and I'm temping, I don't actually think I've ovulated yet, so if by chance it goes as I'm not expecting, I could still be ok, so I'll just sit quietly at the back of the bus and see.
PS Bellas, don't worry at all about what you wrote the other day - I had my first MC in 2001...and here I am still TTC. For some of us it does indeed take AGES!!! I SO understand your frustration....
Help! Just seen EWCM for the first time. Does this mean I'm about to ov, or that I am in the process of ov, or it's all over? Last BD was Tuesday lunchtime (DH working from home that day!!) - have I missed the opp or do I need to call him home right now?!!
Sorry to hear about your job
Cosmosis - is it a foregone conclusion that you will lose it or is there still a possibility that it could be safe? Come back when you feel ready but as you're on CD20, this month might not be over for you yet....
missiek apparently only a third of women experience implantation bleeding, I haven't had it myself so can't say what it's like but I would prefer Hotel Chocolat if possible [choosy]

You can take me off this months bus. I'm probably losing my job so am taking a break from ttc this month till I know what's going on.
hi girls, more fantastic news, lets have more BFP's

.
I've had some spotting, light pink, which i've never had before, AF not due for another 6-8 days, so of course, i've been typing "implantation spotting" into google and have spent the past hour driving myself nuts. Has anyone else had this before? I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but its so hard not to. My boobs are really sore too, but thats not unusual really. Am i being too optomistic?
I need chocolate, can we stop off at Thorntons please? babydust to all xx

I did a cheapie poundshop test today just in case with AF still MIA and it was BFN as I thought, am planning to stop feeding DD3 at night from next month so should make a difference

so i joined the April bus (although i have no idea if that would be a march baby or an april baby..
Hi
BYM
You are right everyone's experience is different! However, I think it's ok for ppl to express their individual worries and concerns (no matter how long they have been TTC)! 7/8 months is not long, I understand that - but when u are hoping and praying for that stick too flash 'pregnant' - it feels like u have been trying for years, never mind months!
As u say 7/8 months def is not a long time!
But for me - it is

oh trigger that is fab news! We're getting BFPs every day now...

\O BFP too. Clearly it is not conceiving that is the problem it's glueing the damn thing in. Fingers crossed....

Bellas - why not come back in a couple of day's time and tell us all about your BFP!!! [fingers x] and your post doesn't come across as bitchy at all. Your experience is far from uncommon. My mum took the best part of 10yrs to have her DC but then, like buses, two came along at once in the space of 15mths

<<sits back and awaits more BFP...>>
all these BFPs are great news, though are making me really nervous!!! i actually dont want to test at all but whenever i read another BFP im like oooh i want to test...!! might take a break from here for a few days as i tend to get anxious about it and am fine when i'm not online reading forums.
for those of you getting down about TTC, please please try not to!! it took us 2 years of TTC'ing before we conceived number 1, and i;ve known friends who have taken longer. you just have to be patient and let nature happen- the more stressed up over it you are the harder you are making it on your body!!! i do get a little upset when people are disappointed after only a few months of trying, i know it may seem like ages but in the grand scheme of things it isnt really. Just offering a bit of perspective! and apologies if it comes across bitchy, dont mean it to, think i'm just suffering from early onset of PMT!!!

oh i used to love Feasts! Especially the white chocolate ones!!!Anyone for a ice pop or one of those traffic light lolly's?!
teenycalls we'll be testing the same time GOOD LUCK

trying not to obsess but I feel a bit off, probably my mind playing tricks on me though.
Congratulations to all those with BPFs, our graduate list is certainly growing
missiek an ice cream would be a much welcome distraction, do you think you can still get Feasts? I fear I am becoming obsessed with TTC, was thinking of banning myself from MN for a couple of days

Only 7DPO but had mild cramps last couple of days and boobs don't feel sore just weird, like hard on the inside... could it be symptoms so soon or just psycho-somatic addict insane?!?
Congratulations to those with BFP's, brilliant news. Looks like this is a lucky bus to be on. Just back from hols, no stress, lots of BD'ing, so fingers crossed. I just hope there was some egg action on my part as all other conditions were perfect! Roll on next Tues and AF can bloody well steer clear! Sorry to those who she has visited, but stay positive, we'll get there eventually wont we girls?

anyone fancy pulling over for an ice cream?

Wow, two more BFPs! Well done
TLC and
donttrythisathome!! Off to the Graduate list with you

Good luck
oscarsmumm sounds very encouraging!
We're on a roll now! Who is going to be next, there are lots of ladies at the front of the bus now so please reveal all!!
TLC - Great news! Those bargain tests were blessed! Huge Congrats!
Don'ttry - sounds promising!
Congrats to all the BFPs! Some action around here at last.
I might be another one. AF not overdue yet, but got a very faint line today on a 10m/g test.
OOOH TakeLovingChances that's so fabulous!!!! Am so happy for you. Can't wait to test myself this weekend...
Hello ladies

What a lovely summer's day this is.
Remember those Clearblue tests I splashed out on when Tesco where selling them half price? I posted about them several posts ago... Well, I used it again this morning....
BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's a faint BFP, but DH tells me it's still a pregnancy line!
Praise God!
I'm still a bit in denial cuz I have AF-type cramps, and until my GP tells me I'm pregnant I'll not believe it.
Woo!
Ilovetoshop - because I've graduated my stats have been taken down. BUT, this was my
8th cycle of first pg. I was so shocked when I didn't get pregnant in month 1/2 - I always thought you just threw away the condoms and bought nappies instead.
I was in total denial on Monday morning despite testing positive, because I've been trying so long I think I'd come to accept that it just wasn't going to happen for me - that I have an "inhospitable environment" or something. OH had to convince me it was a blue line!

I went to my GP and got a referral to the fertility clinic 5 weeks ago, where upon they told me they wouldn't help me until November (12 months of trying). Here I am 5 weeks later.

Fertility clinic also gave me a referral to a specialist pregnancy dietician whom I saw last friday and will see again this friday...

Girls, you're brilliant - am plotting how to get DH tipsy but not wasted (3 or 4 nights in a row?!!). Schlepping to hospital during in the morning, injecting drugs in my stomach the afternoon and fememe fatale by night. Just an average day for a girl TTC!
Good Morning Everyone, hope everyone is feeling ok and positive this month

!
Well AF was due to pay me a visit but so far there is no sign - getting a few cramps though and was very emotional over the weekend but I have had no pains or spots which is usually a sign she is here. Just resisting testing as I am strangly enjoying this not knowing stage

Will keep you posted xx
Morning ladies congrats to all 3 BFPs

and lots of

and thoughts to shose the evil witch got you
I feel a old hat at this, this will be the the 5th time I have TTC, first time took me
9 months so please do not despair ladies that are on 6,7 and 8 cycles, easy to say I know, next 3 times it was first month of TTC, no reasoning behind it at all, our bodies are so weird.
I don't tell DH my fertile times either but I think he guesses

I throw in a few recreational BDs start and end of the month too mix it up a bit

Right back to business who is testing today?
aww very true!

P.S. not drunk obviously - you don't want to incur additional complications

nanoo didn't realise you were having such invasive tests but the silver lining of having such insight into how your cycle/body works should hopefully be your BFP

. Good luck for the next few days...could you get your DH tipsy?
ilove2shop you are not cracking up. We all feel the same that is why we belong to this group. Feel free to say anything in the knowledge that no matter what it is we will consider you to be totally normal

All nutters together and all that!

thanks girls - all good suggestions. Would be great if he didn't know when I was fertile - but because we're doing treatment at the hospital we know every tiny stage of my cycle (e.g today I have a follicle on my right side that's 14mm and my lining is 5.8mm so I should ovulate in about 3 days...blah blah). So poor DH knows. In fact he's told by the hospital when he has to perform. No wonder he gets so worried!!
nanoo please don't feel like you are alone, after 11 years together DP and I are finding all this BD a bit tiresome, he sometimes doesn't even want to try when I am OV cos it makes him feel 'used'

Have tried explaining that it won't happen unless we do it at the right time and the window is quite small but I think that just made it worse. He wants to feel like it happens by magic so has asked if next cycle I can just jump on him without warning

Thanks girls, i may start a new one, but ill pop in here too! Fingers x for your bfp!
Like the first on, first off, so will try for that one!!
The fact everyone is so nice, almost has me crying..... think im cracking up!!
nanoo, I guess you've tried everything to keep things lighthearted (not exactly easy when you know the time is ripe, so to speak)...does your Dh guess when you are fertile or do you tell him? If you want to hide your fertile window from him, then you could try BD across the month?! Not always easy if you work odd hours or travel around for your work but it could take some of the pressure off? <<whispers, or you could try slipping a Viagra tab into his beer

>>
Sorry, not laughing cos it can't be easy...all you can do is keep going as best you can until you get your BFP!
ilovetoshop don't lose heart, you will get tthere in the end. Hope you feel better tomorrrow. I guess the April bus must be due for departure soon - first on, first off?
Sorry the witch got you
ilove2shop, it can be very disheartening to have friends that fall pg accidentally, don't think any of mine have actually 'tried'

Why not add yourself to the back of this bus for now, would be good to have your company on this journey still

Nanoo, maybe try and cook a nice meal, a massage perhaps and just take it slowly, go to bed early etc the fact he gets frustrated wont help, if stage fright comes along dont make a big deal out of it and try a hour or so later xxxx
Well AF got me on Monday... now on cycle 7 sooooo f*cked off... thats putting it nicely!! Had a few tears this time, never thought it would take longer than 6mths

To make it worse my friend just got preg while on the pill and cried and cried and cried...saying why did this happen to me.. i dont want a baby, felt like shakeing her and telling her that she is sooo lucky!!!
Shall i start a new bus for April ?
xX
Kinda a relief to know we're not the only ones!! I try so hard to be light-hearted and not put him under any pressure - but he gets so cross with himself. Must seem very comical to an outsider, but I don't know what to do...
BellasYummyMummy i'm going to hold out until at least next Wednesday which will be 14DPO for me [determined but doubful emoticon!] really hoping for BFP this month.
There are now 37 of us on the bus so by my reconing that should be 9 BFPs between us, only 3 so far so still plenty to go round! Good luck

Any news from the passengers at the front of the bus? You've all gone very quiet x
nanoo we have the same problem here!!
Thanks NancyPreg - I do have a willing man...but not always an able willing man

. DH gets serious stage fright around the time of ov (we've been trying too long, and both want it so desperately!)....poor DH :-(
Hi Nancy!
Pretty much tried that! haha

nanoo I've read those theories that state that position is pertinent if you want one gender or the other but apart from that, I think all you really need is:
1) a fertile willing woman
2) a fertile willing man
3) plenty of bd around the window of ovulation

So that would be 20 days of solid BDing!!! - anyone know if if BD positions really matter for conception??
beanmum and
NewMember - how about bd every day from CD6 through to CD 26

That would pretty much cover all options!!
Good luck for your BFPs!
Hi
NancyI OV around day 11 I think - my Luteal phase is about 13 days i think!

Thanks everyone

Nancypreg - never charted my ovulation before so don't know when I ovulate. Guess with a 25 day cycle it could be earlier than I think, but think we were pretty thorough this month! I never knew how
very lucky I was to conceive ds without having to try!
Good luck to the rest of you - looking forward to lots more BFPs!
Noooooo, that sucks beanmum and no wonder you are disappointed. Do you ovulate particularly early in your cycle, for example, before CD13? I have a friend who conceived her DC2 on CD11 of her cycle (UCL26) so perhaps you are ovulating sooner than you think??
newmember it's great that you are detecting your LH surge but I've read that this is no guarantee of ovulation. However, you know your own body so if you are sure that you are ovulating, then that is good. On the other hand, do you know which CD you ovulate? Is your luteal phase at least 10 days long?
Oh Beanmum sorry to hear that. Hope its third cycle lucky for you x
Sorry to hear AF got you
Beanmum
However, on the positive side you are regular so hopefully cycle 3 will be your month

Good luck!
oh i hope there are enough BFPs for the rest of us!!! teeny im on 7dpo so pretty much same timeframe as you and trying not to symptom spot!!! have been mage thirsty and peeing loads (though i have been drinking loads... ) and have been really gassy

. i am due to test on sunday if i have a 12 lp, or tues for a 14lp. DH wants me to hold out til the following sunday as its my birthday! i think ill go bonkers by then!!!
Hello everyone - what a stunning day!
Ok ... I am looking for a bit of advice! We are now going into our 7th month of TTC - almost our 4th month using the CBFM!
Over the last few months I have BD every night covering the before/druring/after OV - last month I think we BD 8 nights in a row!
Hmmmmmm - still nothing!
So, should I change it this month and do night on, night off? Running out of ideas! I must def be OV as my montior is picking up the surge!
Help!

I'm out... AF has paid me a visit on CD 23, wwhich I think is a *bit much* - perhaps another early loss or else she just really has it in for me this month. My cycle is usually on the short side, but regular as clockwork.
V disappointed, but have added myself to bottom of the list - have to pull myself together for Cycle 3. Onwards!

Big congrats to the two latest BFP graduates!!

It's a glorious day today and the rest of the week is forecast to be sunny too.
teeny it's too early for me to symptom spot yet but that's not to say that I won't be doing so soon...
littleonemum perhaps wait until the end of tthe week before giving into temptation? Good luck for whenever you test anyway!
Just filled up our paddling pool so going to enjoy the sunshine now.
I'm jumping on board the bus. Wait for me.

skihorse BFP 22nd June
Hold off
LittleOneMum! I will keep my fingers crossed for you and
Floweringcurrant for 2 more BPFs on Friday

I am now 6 DPO and symptom spotting galore, anyone else out there doing the same? Today it is stomach cramps (caused by last night's dodgy kebab no doubt!) and a sudden improvement in my hayfever despite the sun having his hat on

Thanks... will try to resist a bit longer!
Beanmum - thanks. Roll on Friday for us then!
Littleone - sorry I can't help with advise there. Good Luck to you too
Congrats on the 3 BFPs!!!
A question, if you please, ladies.
I don't usually test until my AF is due. it's due on Sunday. Would it be ludicrous to test now?
Chemical pregnancy = when egg fertilises but doesn't implant properly. Which means that if you test early, you can get a positive (which I did x2) followed a couple of days later by a negative, hotly pursued by AF. Before early testing kits you wouldn't even have been aware anything had happened, of course, but was so disappointed last month am determined not to try early this time.
Sorry for your loss, floweringcurrant

Hope this will be your month.
Beanmum - If I dont get AF thurs I will possibly test Friday too. I am not strong so much as nervous of a neg. (had mmc at 12 weeks early April) Do you mind me asking what is a chemical pregnancy?
Excellent! Congratulations to all 3 BFPs - that's so cheering!
Same boat as you, floweringcurrant- AF expected Thu, it's been symptoms a-go-go for a week or so, but steeling myself to hold off testing til Friday after a chemical pregnancy last month... Aaaargh!
Wow! All of a sudden 3 BFPs. So exciting. Congratulations Girls !!!
AF due Thursday too nervous to test.
Wow another one - congratulations
happyatlast
Congrats
onlyanauntie and
happyatlast - wow this bus has picked up momentum!

Well I am due on today, but on day 22 of my cycle I got slight spotting which I have never had before in my other pregnancies, but anyway it was pinky brown and stopped after about a day and a half, I had cramps too so thought my period was coming, I said to my dp, its come early this month, but like I said it stopped, then I started getting heartburn, going the loo loads and a funny taste in my mouth, feeling tired.
So after work yesterday I nipped in the chemist got a cheap test which was a two pack so thought I'll go home and do one cos I'd held my wee in all day, even though it was unlikely cos it was a cheap take from the day you are due test and I wasnt using my morning wee but I thought I have another test for in the morning so I may aswell give it a go cos I felt sooooo pregnant....
so I went home, sneaked to the loo whilst my dp and kids were downstairs cos I thought it probably wont show up so I can just bin it, not tell anyone so as not to disappoint with a negative and just test again in a day or two, but I took the test and bam!
straight away two lines for pregnant, as clear as anything, so my baby will be due in March 2010 all being well!
Congratulations
onlyanauntie!! Another graduate - lets see some more

I've been feeling really thirsty too and have nausea which comes and goes. However, last week I found out I have mild shingles

so it might just be my body fighting that.
Argh - the thirst! Two days in a row I've had to get off my horse to get a drink and last night woke up at 2am obsessed with water, thought I was going to die of thirst. So
that's what committed relationships are for!

"here boy fetch!"
oh another bfp!!!! congrats auntie!!! oooh im 7dpo and have been very bubbly/gassy and thirsty!! i must stop symptom spotting!
skihorse- hope you're not complaining!!
I have been following this thread for a few weeks but (stupidly) didn't want to join as I thought it would be a jinx.
I've just took a deep breath, tested, and it's only bloody BFP...was not expecting THAT (although sort of was?!).
14 dpo, was getiing nausea on and off for about a week, bloated and bubbly stomach, and raging thirst...but still thought that surely AF was on her way...
Had chem pg about a year ago, ttc properly since then.... fingers and everythign else crossed it's a sticky one....
Congratulations Skihorse - really thrilled for you!
skihorse - HUGE congrats!!!!!

skihorse BFP 22nd June
Indeed, this has TOTALLY fucked my ski season!

Sadly I'm not an instructor although a lot of my friends are... so whilst they're regaling me of their monstrously dangerous trails... I'll be sat on the effing couch stroking my skis.
C'mon girls - let's be having more of you!

Congratulations skihorse

oh, and congrats skihorse!!!
another inhabitant of Limburg on the way!
Hello girls,
I need to delete myself from the top of this bus as AF has arrived... still need to figure out whether that puts me at the back of this bus or somewhere on an April bus... anyhow, good luck to everyone still on!
Fantastic news
skihorse - I'm so pleased for you and excited we have our first graduate.
I'm sitting tightly at the moment - got a few more days until my AF would be due so will be testing next Monday if nothing happens.
Fingers crossed for us all - lets see some more graduates

!
wow congrats skihorse!!!!!! i so hope i can join you in a week...!
Betty SO sorry to hear that! Thinking of you! x
Congratulations
skihorse whoop whoop, our first BFP

We're on a roll now

Way to go

So how will this affect your skiing season? Do you ski for a living?!
I've updated my stats below. I'm feeling a little low today, I just found out a good friend with a ds the same age as mine is expecting again - we talked about starting to try for the next one a few months back. I'm happy for her, sad I'm not yet able to join her. Anyhow..

BFP!

so young in fact that I wanted to reinforce the message

TLC - don't be put off by all the tales of mcs...it hasn't happened to you so there's no need to imagine that it will! That's the danger with getting close to ttc (via a forum such as this) because you're bound to read about a very wide range of experiences, some of which are, sadly, bound to be sad. But there are lots of positive stories to be found too! In fact, I'll bet that the positive stories far outweigh the sad stories!
And you are unbelievably YOUNG

Summer that makes a lot more sense, and I fully expect that is what will happen. Nancypreg ff not seen anything tangible by the weekend will test, but not too worked up atm.
Nancypreg if AF doesn't come in next few days I will test on Friday... will sit on my hands until then if I have to, to prevent temptation of HPT.
I'm sad to learn of all these MC and MMC, I think I'm still naive enough to think that when I get a +ve that it will actually mean I'll carry a baby to full term.
I'm 24 years old, and assumed that stopping the pill and having lots of sex would quickly = a pregnancy! I just do not understand all these girls my age who have unprotected sex once and have a baby! They are lucky and probably don't even know it

TLC - give it another 3-4 days, then test again if no af...[easier said than done emoticon].
I use the eBay cheap pg tests so it doesn't feel as indulgent or sinful when I test early (well, the earliest I've ever tested is 13dpo <<dons halo>>) BUT in view of my last mc, I actually think early
ish testing is no bad thing. For example, when I was pg with DC1 (back in the day when a BFP=baby), I didn't even test until I was about two weeks late

. It just didn't occur to me that I could be pg! Anyway, the point is, with my last mc, I tested on 13dpo and got +ve...tested on 15dpo and got a stronger +ve...then tested again on 18dpo and got a weak line. I was totally floored by this as although I'd had two MMC, this was a whole new world of mc to me. SO, my point <<phew, getting there>> is that if I hadn't tested as early as I did last month, I wouldn't have seen the line grow stronger and then fainter which although it was heartbreaking to see, it did give me a full 48hrs warning before my mc started spontaneously so I was prepared. If I hadn't tested, I'd have just assumed that my af was a week late and lost that valuable information.
<<that was long>>
trigger I see that you're on CD25, do you aim to test in the next day or so? Depending on your UCL, it could give you some helpful information...fingers crossed anyway because the not knowing is (almost) as bad as a BFN!
triggerhappybaby - I had a ERPC at the end of Feb this year for a MMC. My bleeding stopped after 6 days. 21 days later I had the same as your having right now and I went in for a scan as I was worried. They told me it was old blood.
My AF arrived soon after.
Hope this helps.
Nancypreg no it's not stopped in fact it's not changed on iota. I keep expecting the next sneeze to empty the contents of my innards into my pants <puke @ TMI> but nothing as yet. It's all brown though so not sure where it's been lurking for so long. Been blood-free since a week after MC so can't really be any 'remains' I wouldn't think... <shrug>
Can't believe it's implantation so soon after MC but I suppose stranger things have happened
hi ladies just signing in, nothing happening here still stuck at the foot of the table
c'mon where's our first BFP I think it's a sign we will have none then loads all at once

nancypreg I didn't know those percentages, that's making me feel a good deal better. I will have to just wait until AF starts, or test later on in the week.
I think the worst thing is having tests in the bathroom cabinet.... if they weren't in the house I wouldn't be nearly so tempted! I must suggest to DH that he locks them up somewhere!

Bettymum, sorry for your loss and hope you're doing OK. I also mc earlier this month so I can imagine how you might be feeling. Hopefully the March bus will be just the ticket for you...
trigger sorry for your loss last month. How are you today? Has the spotting stopped? Fingers crossed that it's implantation bleeding...
TLC don't forget the all important stats:
HPT Accuracy Results Percentages:
(Based on a 25mIU sensitive test)
10 dpo : 35%
11 dpo : 51%
12 dpo : 62%
13 dpo : 68%
14 dpo : 74%
15 dpo : 80%
16 dpo : 88%
17 dpo : 92%
18 dpo : 99%
There is still a 2 in 3 chance that you could get a BFP this cycle!
More luck to this week's testers...
Hi All,
Feeling that this will be a positive bus for lots of us. :-) fingers crossed for you TLC.

I tested this morning

what a stupid thing to do.
I'm 10dpo, but according to Fertility Friend, that only gives around a 70% chance of a pregnant woman getting a positive test result. I'm holding on to the hope that if I wait until I'm 14 dpo then I'll get a positive

.
If it's not this month for us, then DH and I will have to wait until Aug to try again cuz I'm going away in July and DH won't be there.

Awwww bettymum that is sad sad news!
I was also on the Feb bus and remember you from there.
Sorry to hear about your mc, but I'm glad to know both you and your DH are keen to start trying again.

I see we're still waiting for our first bfp.
We must be due one soon. <hopeful emoticon>
Hello ladies,
Can I join? I had a BFP on the February bus but I miscarried last week

so I have no idea when I'll next ovulate or if we could even have a March baby, but DH keen to start trying again.

ohh ilove2shop- you are doing soo well, am hoping this means something good for you!!!! i am also going to put off testing as long as poss! i am 6dpo so will wait til i am 14dpo i think... or maybe longer!!
triggerhappy- sorry to hear of your mc
totasky- any more spotting?
Hi Ladies AF due today.....and ive not tested once... omg very very very hard not to but managed it!! Its now 11.15pm and AF not arrived, so im holding out hope, although i have had a few twinges!!
Sooo im going to try and not test for a cple of days and see what happens, ive tested early on all my other cycles, so gonna give the no testing a go and see if that works.... otherwise it will be cycle 7 for me :0(
Isnt it daft all the little rituals you do when you are ttc!

Updated on MTTTC, but thought I may have the onset of AF this morning, teeny tiny evidence of brown and red, but not amounted to anything today. MC'd on 28th May but bleeding actually started on 24th which is 28 days ago, so if AF lurking I wouldn't be at all surprised... if not arrived by Thurs may do a test.
ApuskiDusky, just realised that your af arrived whilst you were away and not today so your CD is incorrect on our list...please update if you get the chance...

welcome WorrisomeHeart and shame that af tricked you last cycle but I guess we've all been there at some point. Anyway, grab a seat and enjoy the ride.
tostaky - hope the spotting is implatation and not the dreaded af..fingers crossed for you.
sorry af got you ApuskiDusky but I've added your name to the end of the list so you could still get your March BFP!
There are lots of ladies who are the top of the list now so come on, don't keep us in suspense...are you pg or are you not??!!
I'm now on the 2ww so much twiddling of thumbs now for awhile I guess.
Good luck to all ladies who will be testing this week....we need your BFPs cos they are the fuel that keeps this bus running!
Hi all,
Well I'm back from my holiday, and I'm out I'm afraid - AF arrived whilst I was away. Fingers crossed for those remaining, will keep an eye on how things go!
well, i was spotting this morning... so dont know if it is my periods coming (im 12DPO) or if it is implentation spotting or if it is because i ran a 10K ...
maybe i'll stop running for a while...
Thanks Floweringcurrant we need some BFP's soon!
I am 30 and DP is 41, he has calculated if I got a BFP this month DC would arrive before he turns 42 - no pressure then!
Teeny - if there is any justice in this world you will get your BFP having forgone that lovely bag! Seriously though it is insane making I spend half my time being hopeful and the other kicking myself that I have left it too late. I'm 38 and OH is older still.
Hope the 2WW goes well for you and that March is a lucky bus for all of us!
I think TTC has made me a little crazy, I only ov'd 3 days ago but am already on high alert for symptoms. Refrained from buying a designer handbag yesterday and took it as a sign that my practical Mum gene must be kicking in

Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining in but just going crazy here symptom spotting and hoping.
TLC - I think you are right to feel optimistic when I fell in January this year(sadly mc at 12 weeks)I had that spotting 3 days before AF was due. I wasn't trying, I was so new to all this, I didn't even know what it was..... now all I hope for is to get it again!
Ho hum... good luck to all ...we will get there!
Oh right
teenycalls I understand POAS now.

Was just in my local Tesco, they were selling off a lot of damaged toiletries, I found a twin pack of Clearblue HPT for £5.45! I am a happy bargain hunter!
I too have been getting phantom pregnancy symptoms for the 3 cycles myself and DH have been ttc

Sore boobs, feeling sick when I think about eating, yesterday I had a slight bit of spotting and all I wonder now is was it an implantation? Everything my body does now I'm getting all optimistic and wondering

Hello and welcome
WorrisomeHeart, there are a few of us TTC#1 in here and I can fully sympathise with the trick AF played on you this month. Ever since I started TTC I have been getting sore boobs before AF which never happened before and has twice convinced me I am pg!
I am reliably informed by
smug hyperfertile more experienced friends that 'trying not to think about it' [yeah, right emoticon] helps as you can 'think yourself late'...wish i'd known sooner that my brain had control of my periods, would have stopped AF ruining many a good holiday/weekend away

POAS = Piss on a stick!

Dlamis & Liahgen, sorry AF got you and good luck for this cycle.
P.S
Liahgen You are quite correct, Diet Coke is well known to cancel out chocolate, any kind of takeaway and selected alcohol

teenycalls what does POAS mean?

My period is actually due on 28th June (I think), but I'm trying to hold on before testing. Just to be totally sure! Last month I tested 4 times all in the week my period was due, then AF struck me!

It'll happen for one of us, hopefully more.
Hi folks
Can I jump on board too? After AF being 2 days late I honestly thought that it was Feb baby for me, but no such luck - she has arrived with a vengeance this am

Hate the way our bodies can trick us - I have been cycle-tracking for the last four months as we were leading up to starting to TTC, and have been ridiculously regular - could almost set your watch to it! And what do you know, first month TTCing, and I'm 2 days late! Cue much repressed hysteria and baby dreaming... Ah well, onwards and upwards! Am going to start temping this month too, so that I am forewarned if I ov late. Will try to add myself to the list without buggering it up....

Yeah I guess so. I'm 42 though, I'll be 43 in September and ever since my fertility probs were sorted out 15 yrs ago have always fallen quickly. Can't help thinking time is creeping up on me.
Have overdosed on chocolate and diet coke, (cos the diet version cancels out the chocolate right?)so i'm fine tonight.
Think the diet may start tomorrow.
Keep your chin up Ladies - we will get there

too bad Dlamis, hope next month is lucky for you...see this first cycle as a practice run!
Sorry Liahgen.
I'm out too. I knew it really as soon as i had my major pmt moment. Not too upset as it was only the first cycle but it does look like my LP is only 11 days which isn't ideal. Ho hum.

liaghen, next cycle will be lucky for you
thanks Kitty, I should have known. First response is always spot on for me 6 days before. I just felt so sure this time.
I am
not gonna obsess this month, I am making a promise, I
will have a holiday baby. We go on 28th and ov should be around 27th to 1st July. (sorry did someone mention not obsessing?

bit of sunshine and all that.
Good luck to anyone else due testing this weekend.

liaghen
ok, I'm out
Liahgen TTC#6 cycle 5 ucl 26 cd1
new - until next time!
Afternoon all, sorry af got you
new, but the bus keeps on rolling so keep your seatbelt fastened until!
liaghen - so many BFNs but no af yet so it's
still not over for you...

Ditto
tostaky - the absence of a BFP isn't evidence for its absence...unless af comes of course, which she hasn't yet!
TLC - fingers crossed for your BFP...please be patient
sweetkitty - hope your af comes really soon so that you can start ttc.
Well, we've been busy this week

and I've had a positive OPK so I expect I'll be on the 2ww soon...

for me. Stupid digital tests what do they know?
No af though yet so still clinging to hope of late ov. Didn't get my smiley face till day 13 though ov could have taken place any day up till day 15. <<kidding herself emoticon>>
Good luck to anyone else testing we must be due a BFP soon.
Have fun all thos edoing the deed this weekend.

Lol, the joys of FB, according to one of their questionnaires I am going to grow to 6'4"?!?!?
TLC looks like we might be POAS buddies, my AF is also due 1 July, we must remain strong and not test too soon

I thought I had got AF this morning BUT it wasn't really TMI I have had a tummy bug and the blood was from somewhere else

Oh we are still waiting for our first BFP
According to a "test" on FB I am actually pregnant pmsl don't spnd loads of £££s on tests ladies FB can tell you if your pregnant

I'm feeling optimistic and glassy-eyed when I look at babies, but I don't want to set myself up to fail.
So, just have to wait now until AF comes, or the 1st July when I plan to test.... not before that, oh no.
Hi all, looks like the witch hasn't got any of us yet... keeping everything crossed for our first BFP

Hi all, havent been around much. Hope everyone is well and happy. Just updated as my CD day was wrong.

tostaky it's not over till fat lady sings,
10 DPO today and bfn...
i wont test before monday morning now (AF -2).... I WILL WAIT (repeat to myself 150 times whenever i have the urge)
What about SAEJ Lizkin Dlamis?
Are you testing today liaghen? Fingers crossed for you!
Liahgen, it's not over until the witch gets you!
DP was in no fit state last night and I think the
EWCM window of opportunity has now
dried up closed for the month. Still, BD'd on CD14 so still every chance. Symptom spotting galore starts any day now

No af today so must be tomorrow. Hoping its a bit longer cycle give a bean chance to plant next month.
