Hi Amy - coil due out tomorrow (eek) and am hoping although i know the chances are slim for a BFP for my DH's xmas present!
He has been begging me day in day out to have my coil out so i am planning on either telling him on xmas day its out or presenting him with the BFP!

How long have you been ttc? - is it baby no.1?

Cool. If you are looking for tips / answers and general hand holding you tend to get it on the buses pretty quickly as high concentration of women on there too! Good luck

Hi ladies, can I join? I am TTC for #1, second cycle. I find the buses very confusing! If I get a BFP, it will be just before Christmas, we spend it with a lot of family and friends and alcohol is usually very free flowing, so little unsure how I'd cover that up!! :)

I'm taking the Seven Seas trying to conceive vitamins. They're quite good value for money: less than £3. And I'm using a Monthly cycles app on my phone to track potential ovulation days. Must try not to symptom spot this month tho! It's obsessive!

A good tip for hiding alcohol consumption is tell everyone you're skint so you're not doing rounds, go to the bar on your own and order tonic or soda water with wedge of lemon/lime and voila, instant "gin" and tonic! Same with parties, take your own small bottle (plain water) saying you didn't want to bring the whole litre bottle.

I'm hoping to give dh a bfp for his Xmas pressie too. Was thinking of wrapping the test up but thought that might be a bit unhygenic!

do it Flipflipping he will be so suprised, thats what ill probably do- or buy some sort of funny guide for being a daddy or something similar that will make him double look and then look at me in shock! Cant wait for that look Grin

Coil is due out in 3.25 hours argh...bricking it i really am. Im so foul at work today and just sitting in my corner of the office avoiding any chit chat!

I found when i was pregnant with my DD that i went out with the girls and just didnt even mention the fact i wasnt drinking, i had one drink with alcohol at the start of the night and then just bought coke with no vodka in and it wasnt until about half 10 my friend asked if i was gonna leave half my drink on the table as they were moving pubs, i said yes and so she said she would have it - after she tasted it she soon realised there was no vodka in it and questioned pregnancy straight away to i told her - luckily shes also my neice so i didnt mind her finding out really but next time i will make sure never to leave any in my glass! ha

I'm lucky that drinking is no hassle for me because I don't drink anyway anymore. Not through choice but I developed an allergy after my pfb. I'm so excited and really hope it happens this cycle in time for Xmas. I prob will put it in a card or something if it does.

Good luck with your coil, be excited it's the first step Smile

Try not to worry about having your coil out its nothing like when its put in. They just have a look with the speculum what not and whip it out. It doesn't hurt promise! X

I cant stop it, got butterflies in my stomach now that wont budge. Im just paranoid that the strings have gone out of reach as i can only just feel the end of them now where as before i could feel a lot more so the string has obviously gone up a little..

to be fair i hardly ever go out now but over christmas its going to be hard trying to avoid it when im usually the shots ring leader! New years eve were going out and my works meal in a few weeks which i suppose will be fine as i wont actually be pregnant then. Ur lucky if u dont drink anymore as thats one thing less to have to miss!

Thats would be a good idea if you do get ur BFP, maybe buy him a christmas card from 'the bump' or to Daddy, and wait to see his face when he opens it. Grin

FlipFlippingFlippers · 27/11/2013 12:38

I might make him a card cos I'm a soppy sod like that. Even if it doesn't happen in time for Xmas! It'll be easier for them to take out even if you think it's moved so try not to worry. Let us know how it goes Smile
