18 months for me too. And while I am really really pleased for the inhabitants of that thread where everyone on it has successfully got pregnant since starting trying LAST AUGUST, FFS, I may actually spasm with envious rage if I see it in active convos one more time.

18 months for me too and REALLY fed up now. Bored of counting, fed up of having to do the do for days on end, hate feeling guilty when we don't do it despite feeling like we should, sick of being jealous and coming up with a load of bollocks when people ask if we think we'll want to start trying for a family soon, had enough of acting like I'm not worried and that it's not getting to mand that I'm perfectly fine just waiting for nature of take it's course, going mad picking names for a baby that doesn't exist....!!!!!!!

Come on FFS! Swim faster damn it!!!

That's very helpful I'm sure nickel but I believe this was a thread for women who want to be pregnant and are finding it difficult to be so.

If that was a joke it was slightly ill-considered, if you don't mind me saying.

nickelbabyhatcher · 02/04/2011 12:05

sorry Aries - i was trying to make her feel better.
I was in the same boat only 6 weeks ago.
I know how hard it is :(

Ok, if you haven't already, start a thread titled "please tell me what unconventional tricks and gimmicks you used that finally got you up the duff"

Maybe you will find one you haven't tried.

Maybe it will divert you momentarily from the madness of waiting.

I always find doing something, even if it amounts to nowt but a hill of beans feels better than doing nothing...other than the shagging, obviously.

I will start you off: I did a head stand after every shag. Not joking. Got to the point where I didn't even care that my stomach was hanging over my face like some babyless curtain of non-fecund flesh.

Cheers nickel

Hope it all goes well for you.

Mmmm I drank a lot of gin after a long stint as a static motorway decoration before being consoled extensively in a horizontal fashion...... I'll let you know of that works [grins]
Drinking lots on ovulation day is, I believe, not in the manual.........

I've used the mooncup Blush To be fair, it did actually work the first month I used it after every shag, but unfortunatley the pregnancy was only an empty sac :(

3 1/2 years TTC over here, it's damn well exhausting!!

Hi, I haven't been trying as long as you, but I feel the same as you Cherrychoo. I had a MS in October and should have been having my baby in 4 weeks, and I have been trying since July last year and now on cycle 7, post MC and I bloody fed up. My cycles are all over the place and I am Pissed right off.

I am now in 2WW and basically waiting to find out that, again I am not pregnant.

I would love to learn some tips, I have being sticking pillows under my bum with my legs in the air, resting on the headboard and looking like a twat this month.

im afraid that tricks dont work. old wives tales are a crock of shit and your body will play every trick on you possible. but, you know, after 66 cycles you kind of stop caring!

Report
JRsandCoffee · 02/04/2011 20:19

Oh Lissie we're bloody amateurs in comparison, 66 cycles, well done you for keeping going!

I've taken up dog agility in the meantime as a distraction technique - what does everyone else do for distraction?

Yes lissie, that puts my 18 month grumpiness in perspective. I hope you don't mind me asking but are you trying for a first baby?

I have abandoned all my tricks too, being too flibberty to stick to any of them for long, when there were NEW tricks to try. Though I have stuck with lying down for 10mins afterwards mainly because I'm quite lazy and fond of bein in bed.
