The more the merrier.

This will be my(our) first proper month trying, obviously hoping it'll work first time, but if not then I will have fun on the bus and practicing. :o

Not quite sure on stats, but we are TTC#3 third month of trying. Think my stats are:

passthechocs TTC#3 CD19 cycle 3 UCL 28-30

Good luck everyone!

Thanks for inviting me along 100years. Just popping in to say hi, still queuing for my ticket. Wink

I'm on the last few days of my last cycle before properly TTC, so will put my stats up soon. But this will be our first month of trying for DC1.

Good luck everyone, looking forward to getting to know you.

Ok, I shall join here too!

Buttonmoon78 TTC#4 CD2 - cycle 2 - UCL 35 days

Not really sure about cycle length as only had my coil out before last cycle and it's been sooo many years since I was hormone free. Well, artificial hormones anyway Grin

Having an August baby will really screw up DH's holiday plans but he's not got that far in his thinking yet! Grin Hmm

Am impatient for period to end so I can get on with ewcm spotting! I'm not going to go down the opk route unless things don't happen within a few months. I am neurotic enough without that too...

Morning Ladies.

Goblino I'm still waiting for AF to arrive too, but we didn't stop contraception until I was on day 26 of my cycle so unless this month's cycle was going to be over 36 days long then there really isn't much chance. I am however on day 33 and have all the usual PMS stuff going on, have had one bit of spotting, hoping it's going to come soon so I can get on with properly TTC :o Enjoyed the practice though Wink

I've put my average cycle length in the stats as I have had it all over the place and that is an ave of my periods this year. More recently it's been a bit less spread out, but still, last month was 30 days.

I'm waiting for AF to arrive as well, but we missed the opportunity last weekend so don't think much of my chances. Will definitely time things better for this month Grin

Am also still fairly new to MN and not very good at sticking with threads Blush basically because I don't always manage to get online regularly and find it difficult to join in again after a few days. Am determined to be a regular this time - it does help to keep in touch with people TTC and I find the 2WW very hard!

As both DS1 and DS2 came along first month, am also new to working out ovulation - have noticed the lovely pant snot (never noticed it before, which is odd as its not difficult to spot!) but am not sure if that happens before or after I ovulate. Does anyone know?

From what I have read your cervical fluid increases before ovulation then dries up a bit after ovulation, the egg white stuff indicates you are most fertile.

Passthechocs - I'm great during the week but really not that good at all over the w/e. Just barge straight back in again - that's what I do!

I work shifts, so sometimes I have week days off and am on here quite a bit other times it's the weekend, when it's generally quieter! If I disappear for a day or two it's because I've been at work and too knackered when I've got home.

Thank you! When I log on does depend on work and the kids too. My work restricts access to certain internet sites - MN, ebay, amazon... Don't know what they think we would be doing Smile

Gobolino · 26/10/2010 13:16

Hi ladies,
I try to check in once a day - don't want to miss anything Smile but am off on holiday for two weeks on Sat so won't be around for a while. You'll have to update me on all your news when I'm back!

My most fertile time is going to fall smack in the middle of my holiday, so by the time I get home I'll either be preggers (surely I couldn't be that lucky!) or... not for another month Grin.

Can anyone who's done this before tell me - how long do you need to wait after ovulation before you can test and might get a BFP?

Thanks,
G

passthechocs we have NO internet access at work, we aren't allowed phones with us, etc etc, so I can only come on here on break or when I am home. And MN is slightly slow on my iPhone as there is a lot of info to take in and so it doesn't always connect properly.

Yay for holiday trying. We are away next week, and previously I thought it might be at the beginning of my fertile time, but as AF has not yet showed it's not going to be then, but it will still be nice to practice. I've no idea how long my luteal phase(I think that's the right words) is as I am so irregular, I know that's the one bit of the cycle that is pretty constant so I need to track it a few months.

Another shift worker here so I work funny days and times too.

We do have internet access and I spend way too much time on it.

Am actually working now Blush Grin

I got a bfp at 11DPO last time. It was on Hogmanay ( aka New Year's Eve Wink) and you should have seen my face! Just looked at my FF chart and I also did HPTs on 16 and 18 DPO - I guess i was just checking!!

Yeah I think I would make a massive beaming face if I got a BFP on NYE, what a way to bring in the new year.

There is a thread about testing early and although yes I know that I should wait until AF is due and that a fairly high number of fertilised eggs don't make it all the way (the majority of which are lost in the first few weeks) it is difficult to put off testing. The thread gives stats on how accurate tests are days post ovulation.

Basically, the longer you leave it to test, the more likely you are to get an accurate result and to miss the so called chemical pregnancies. With both DS1 and DS2 I didn't get a BFP until AF was 2 weeks late. From memory, I think I tested every few days from my due date - AF rarely late and I wanted to know!

That said, good luck with the tests - I know I get through more than I should!
