Christmas

I feel really happy with DD's present, I worked hard at it & I think I got it right

I bought her

3 dress pattens, material, cotton, zips/buttons all packaged up in three separate parcels (complete projects)and a sewing encyclopedia

I went into to Norwich and blitzed John Lewis, was helped by the most wonderful assistant (I wrote her a thank you note & made sure her manager got it)

I hope she likes it - we can sew tomorrow morning & all day on Boxing Day & we can take it with us when we go to the cottage in Southwold.

Fingers crossed

She is desparate to sew

Has been making dolls clothes, learnt to knit, using the sewing machine over the last year - but she wants to make clothes as she doesn't really like whats on offer atm

Aww thanks everyone

She is learning to sew

She is often impatience - so we can work on that

I used to sew quite well Jackets and trousers and shirts as well as skirts & dresses. I also do home furnishing - but I suffer from impatience (sp?) so it often doesn't turn out they way I want

Fingers crossed it goes down well

She loved it

She has made the jacket & we have started the dress

She cut out the patten, I cut out the material

she pinned & sewed

I did pockets, buttonholes & buttons

We are a team!!

She says maybe tomorrow

However now she wants a form as she says it would be easier to 'fit' it on something else (which of course it would)

Were you the one who'd forgotten a present? Or am I getting mixed up? I'm sure I remember you saying something about this before Christmas anyway, so I'm really glad it worked out. Enjoy!
