how long since you gave birth

more than two years since I last did it - give birth that is - (and not pregnant) and I'm still fascinated, feel as passionately about it, and visit this part of mumsnet talk. I was wondering who was the least recent birther (? does that make sense) to come visit

Not me, but I'm still reeling from my homebirth 5 months ago and would do it all again tomorrow if it weren't for the sleepless nights!

5 months today ...
Everyone sing 'Happy Birthday' to my DD please!!!
I think someone posted 2 hours after giving birth once, on the birth announcement thread ...

If that was me, Ghosty, it was a whole five hours later!

Oh yes, deep fascination, but also do you think that's because you're contemplating doing it again? (I'm not of course. Oh no. Definitely not. Wouldn't dream of it. Of course not

well, mine is 4 years, 8 months and 10 days and I'm never doing it again either!

It's not the birth part that puts me off - it's just that after 3 kids, I've realised I'm not really a baby/toddler person

11 months. And I think it may have been me posting 2 hours after the birth - just checked and it was 2 hours 10 minutes! But I felt really guilty till I did, cos I'd been whinging on here for so long about dd not coming!!! (She was 14 days late!!!).

6mths, 2days & 45mins ago. Would do it all again - most amazing experience of my life.
Yes it hurt, yes I had every instrument used on me, no I couldn't move cos' I was hooked up to those bloody monitors, no i didn't have the water birth I had planned, but who cares?!
Its that moment when baby arrives that you realise this is truly magic.

Just wish I'd known how bloody painful and worrying stitches could be! That first No.2 - how frightened were you??

dd was 20 weeks on Friday (5 months) and I'm already trying for the next. After ds was born 2 years 5 months ago I started trying straightaway then too. After 3 that's it for us though. I didn't know I would love it so much and even though ds was with every drug available and dd wasn't they were both fantastic births. DD was so quick I honestly didn't have time to feel much pain.
