Birthday and Christmas gifts for two year old

My DD has her second birthday in November, closely followed by Christmas. I have got family on both sides asking me what to buy her; she is the only child in DPs family and the only UK based one in mine, so people are desperate to buy her things despite my pleas not to spoil her too much!

Trouble is, I've not idea what to suggest. She likes her baby doll at the moment so I've suggested a few accessories for this, and DP and I have bought her a toy kitchen for Christmas. She's got tons of jigsaws, happyland toys, craft bits and doesn't need any more. She won't play with lego or other building type materials.

We're looking at getting ours a mini dyson as she loves ours! Books. Aqua doodle. Magnetic drawing thingy. Granny is getting us a swing for the garden and other grandparents are putting money in a savings account for her.

The only present my (then 20th dd) has played with every day since last Xmas has been her easel! Even if just for 10 mins, it's been used every day. x

Ikea and Sainsburys both have nice bits to go with a kitchen, utensils and play food, so I'll be suggesting that for my 2yo. Bike, scooter both good. He's getting a little big big on his scuttlebug tbh so I'm not sure how much more use you'd get from a new one now?

Maybe pick a toy system - Duplo, Playmobil, Happyland etc - and suggest people get sets to go with that. Solves the problem for a few years yet!

My 'just turned' two year old is getting lots and lots of craft things - Pipe cleaners, paints, glitter, coloured paper, pom poms, ribbons, buttons etc. They are things we can use throughout the year rather than something she'll play with once and then forget about.

A toy pushchair. It's the most fought over item when we have toddlers over. It's a disgusting pink spotty thing my DM bought. I was not impressed but it's earned a place in my heart keeping DD and now DS happy pushing it round the house.
Books? Dd is now 2.8 and will look at books by herself for quite a while.

Tarka ds takes his pushchair and "baby" everywhere! It gets borrowed at the park (I have a rule that if he takes it out eg to play group then he has to let other people have a turn) and lots of smiles from older people in the street :)

GLTC do these big story books that fold up into things you can sit in like a train or a pirate ship etc etc they are basically expensive cardboard boxes but my dd loves hers sits in it for ages
