What do you think? Obviously for a boy. Have 2 dc already, with Irish surnames beginning with B, and thought that Carson would fit in nicely.

I was talking to someone the other day who had considered it. Its one of those names that would grow on me.

I don't love it but I don't dislike it either.

Wasn't the camp guy from one of the those American make-over progs called Carson?

I knew a bloke at uni called Carson. It doesn't offend me as it seems to have offended the others but I just feel there are nicer names out there iykwim?

on the other hand if your other kids both have Irish surnames for names (or did I pick that up completely wrong) it would go well and be in keeping with the other names

my FAV name from Ireland is Tadgh - I love it

janeite · 11/06/2009 20:53

Not sure about Carson. What about Callahan? Can be Cal for short.

Report
janeite · 13/06/2009 22:23

Sorry, don't like Carson.

And Callahan is awful imho - sounds like Caliban.

Report
jkklpu · 13/06/2009 22:31

If the others are Irish names, why not Ciaran, Cathal or Connor, if you want a C name. Or Calum if you want some Scottish variation. Or Eamonn, Ronan, Finbarr/Fionnbharr or Dara for some other letters?
