What do you think? If we go with Lexie do we call her Alexis?

I'm not overly keen on either, but Lydia is much less popular than Lexie now, I think, so I'd go for that. I prefer Lexie to be a nn for something. My niece is Alexia. Alexis is quite nice.

I prefer Lexie (Alexa ?) Alexis is nice too - I did have Alexa (Lexie) down for my last one - which turned out to be a Ben Wink

Lexie is a NN for Alexis or Alexandra. It is not a full name. I like both long forms. Lydia is very nice, too.

Lydia. Unless Alexis or Alexandra as Lexie is always a nickname to me.

Definitely Lydia. It can be abbreviated to Liddie. I know a lovely 3 year old Liddie.

Don't like Lexie at all, it's a nickname. This baby will be Lydia if it's a girl, it was runner up for dd.

Love Alexis with Lexie as a nn, definitely don't just call her Lexie as her main name. Alexis is powerful, feminine and glamourous.

They're completely different types of names, I think. Lydia is classic (and nicer) and Lexie is a bit WAGish

Love Lydia - it was on my parents' shortlist for me :o

Not a fan of Lexie, though I agree with the others that Alexandra is nice.
