to think that the people on netmums would take a good ear bashing with the same good humour as you do here on mumsnet!!!??

Glad to have helped Orm.

morloth - your post is most amusing looked at from active convos

. 'I have a full set of le creuset and often have a piss....' That has made me happy ever since you posted it. Just thought you'd like to know....
I have a full compliment of le Creuset and often have a pissed Aussie husband, does that count?
tommypickles, I thought you flounced? Flouncers just can't help themselves.
Leave NMs alone I had a look there, found them all a bit too nice for my liking and came back to the angry, jeering, drooling beasts.
Thanks triptrap my bum feels remarkably fluffier now
Kiss kiss hon xx
Alestorm: BED!
pants just woke ds up shouting that

Oops, puerile, even.

Please will someone kick me up to bed?
Argh!! We've been invaded by the Huns!

Tommy - you're a knobjockey, and I hope you're a little bit ashamed, cause what you've done here is purile and pathetic and actually i don't find it in the least bit amusing. Although I'm going to use "knobjockey" as my insult of choice now, alongside "goat felching cunt bucket" and "smelly piss flaps".

Any one got a boot to kick me into bed?
the emoticons! I was mesmerised and mystified .and a little dirty. Like the way you feel if you stumble onto late night euro porn.
pssst fenella nick found what we were looking for, hurrah, go and see
TommyPickles - I thought you were alright.
But actually you're an arse.
<preen>
pmsl!you're not all as dumb as thought then ;-)
I hate the them and us thing, really gets my goat
(didya see what I did there, did ya, did ya?)
ahh Mango,it's got most laughing.I'm sure the mods probably laugh it off after a while too
Though I vair nearly got my mitts on a naice Creuset
tripTrap I am sorry that someone has been shitstirring

Trip Trap Trip Trap....
I'm the big Billy Goat Gruff travelled from nm to butt the troll off the bridge...
not sure about greener pastures on the other side though ;-) thanks for the heads up on this one, gave us a great laugh
i dont use NM but i do still go on RK...not as often as on here mind you - i quite like the honesty on here though it can sometimes be a bit brutal!
RK is quite soft and fluffy though heavily modded, sounds quite similar to NM!
did someone say this site was modded? cos ive not seen any modding going on?
I think a fair few folk use both sites. You come across as a complete snob TBH.
I detest all this them and us type crap
different strokes for different folks.
"She's just trying to stamp her mark"
Bollocks. She's trolling.
Who did that? <whats going to happen now>
agree with soupdragon, this kind of behaviour is pathetic.
Oh no, its got nothing to do with whether you are well-off or not or whatever. I said you were a snob because in your other thread you said you were shocked at a mums neglectful behaviour particularly because she had a 4x4 and was therefore middle class. So you make assumptions about how good a mother someone is by their car or what social class they belong to.
And as for the netmums thread, well Im not a fan of NM and hate all the fluffy hun stuff. But you seem to be criticising the other mothers on there for not having as much money as you do, and for supposedly forcing their children into work so that they can take all their money off them and rob them of any chance of a university degree
? Which of course nice, superior, middle class children all have. Then you take piss out of them on here. I dont get the joke
?
Maybe I am coming across as being harsh and I know I shouldnt have said you were a terrible snob as its a personal remark. So, what I meant to say is that imo your attitude is terribly snobbish because it seems that you believe that being middle class, having more money or a 4x4 makes you a superior human being!
I actually know one woman who goes on NM.
She's a fruit shoot giving, smoking, tattood, loony. But I like her and she's a good mother. She says she's met some lovely people on NM, I think it's a bit softer.
<nods impressedly at hecate's constant sensibleness>
I think you're all being a tad harsh. She's just trying to stamp her mark. A bit too hard. Hardly a crime. And i'm sure you've seen it a million times before.
Lol is this a new way of trolling then, openly admitting it and having us follow them on other internet boards
great idea

I admit to being a MNetter and a NMer.
They both have their places. Mumsnet is v.funny and v.sharp. It is also v.brutal and can be v.picky (I fully expect to get

for all the v.s i am using).
There are quite a few members on NM who would be torn limb from limb on MNs and they need somewhere they can go.
Some people need the huns and hugs. Some people prefer the 'get a grip' approach more favoured on this site.
The thing I find hardest about NMs is the amount of 'bloody asylum seekers getting free cars and living in mansions' and 'its pc gone mad' posts. And just as you get stuck in to a good argument the thread gets pulled.
But its not half as cynical as MNs. I suppose I feel more at home here because I was bought up as Cynicalist (like a methodist but with more

).
I like to pop over to NMs though. Some people have been really lovely to me over there and I
can be a bit needy

doh. no wonder people leg it down another aisle when I wave to them in Tesco

lol...that's dancing not waving
Did I post supportively on OP's other AIBU thread earlier? Think I did.
So, was that a wind up then?
I am not having my greatest day and confused as to what I am supposed to be finding amusing here..
Please can someone explain it to me. In simple terms. Like I'm an idiot.
You do it with a big smile and you put your back into it!
Instead of the limp hand raising with stony face that is the 'acknowledgement'.
By SerendipitousHarlot on Fri 03-Jul-09 21:17:24
Oh.. I have read both your threads now OP.... and have come to the conclusion that you're rather a knob.
hear hear-was about to post similar.
<<yawns, pointedly>>
And also what Hecate said.
how to you wave in a friendly manner?
You know what? I am sure the people who choose to post on netmums are exactly the same as those who choose to post on here - some intelligent, some, erm...

, some text speakers, some pedants, some take-it-on-the-chinners, some ott sensitive how-very-dare-yous, some really nice, funny, fab people and some stirring bitchy shits...
I am sure it is as diverse as this place.
I tell you what though. One of the things I see people criticising is the delete-happy mods..but it's no different here these days, is it?
And tbh, netmums, mumsnet, babythingie - who gives a shit? People find their 'place' and settle down there.
<waves in friendly manner to any nmers who are lurking>
Oh.. I have read both your threads now OP.... and have come to the conclusion that you're rather a knob.
has she gone already?...crikey that was quick

It's been in my cupboard since July 2003.
tommy - I'll have you know that we can cry and sob and wail
just as well as those netmum people <sniff> And take umbrage too. And flounce! Oh hang on you are damned good at that already

Dang
but hey, it'll take the most awf abuse, you will LOVE IT
Wow, not cheap are they, wish I could remember who gave it to us. It's a 21 cm casserole dish, thanks for the offer to buy, but may actually try and use it, none of mine can go in the freezer and microwave as well.
farking ell they are brilliant things confuzzled, can you do a search on amazon and link a similar one here? I'll buy it off you if it's a biggun

Mango, No, it looks very expensive and I already have a stack of casserole dishes that will no doubt get broken at some point. It's in the cupboard with the 3 boxes of crystal glasses I'm sure will also get used one day

tp...i didn't see your earlier thread so not sure what your problem is?
It's really dull, I wouldn't bother trawling through it
And all of these opinions from people who earlier said you shouldn't judge people based upon one thing you know about them!
Confuzzled you have never used your creuset

MrsBadger, The wedding present thing struck a bell, so I checked and I have one. It's a casserole dish, never dropped it, but never used it, don't think I'd want to drop it on the cat

I second what dp is saying.
Extremely rich people are usually very polite, and not snobbish at all. The newly rich, or noveau riche, are the worst.

Wasn't this the Sainsbury's + 4x4 + "not that type of people" thread?
ok...extremely rich people, ( people who were born into it) have breeding and manners, plus they're so rich they really couldn't give a toss....the aspiring rich have hang ups...
DP are you kidding?
how does that work daftpunk.....do explain please
tommy....depends how well off you are?....extremely rich = not snobby......doing ok thank you, but not rolling in it = possible snob.
Le Creuset pans are the heavy orange cast-iron ones you got given as wedding presents in the 80s
the quote is from a classic 'things not to do' thread where an inordinate number of MNers admitted to dropping said pans on their feet / dogs / glasses
No earlier wasn't a wind up, but it ended well and all I got from people here was that they enjoy slagging each other off.
First post on nm wasn't wind up either but once I saw how people jump down your throat I thought I'd take it further.
Why is it when people assume you must be well off they also assume you must be a snob??
So actually there's something wrong with that
oh panties.sorry-i read things then forget ive read them.but id quite like to be a boozy fishwife too.
Cheese, I know I just like MrsBadgers reasons as to why we are here and NM are there.

I don't normally post on AIBU but I found your thread on Netmums easily by following the links (netmums coffeehouse - teens and older children - teens, home and family) as it was the first thread.
After reading that and your comments on the other thread about middle class mums and 4x4s, I think you're a terrible snob, and your "wind-up" is not funny at all imo.
Confuzzeled i think you are Confuzzeled.
this is a yawnsome attention seeker and you are talking saucepans-very nice ones -but saucespans
I don't know what a Le Creuset saucepan is but I do have a pissed scottish husband and would like to be a boozy fishwife.
Where's the thread on here?
I think if you're in a fluffy happy place it would be a bit surprising to come across a shouty thread, it doesn't mean they are particularly different as people, just that it's a different environment.
So YABabitU.
parp
well I don't get tax credits but I never told anyone there or even implied that I was rich

fgs
So you guys who are so keen on that thread, are you as keen on trolls here?
Damn, missed it before it was deleted

Can anyone c+p here?
I can still see it but not sure how or why anyone would consider your comments jokey. I'm with the hons on this

Are you really too rich to get tax credits?
So, tommypickles, you are here to brag that you are trolling on another parenting forum?
Why do they say 'iggle' for little over there? How old are they?
<feels decidedly twitchy>
pmsl sea
im sneering<sneer face>
yeah let's sneer at our own

Please, I hate this oh let's sneer at the huns over there thang
Leave 'em be
i cant see as not member.but just curious as to why you want us all to know that your upsetting people on another site?
Teehee, it's been deleted.
has it been deleted? cant get it for some reason
Link doesn't work.
Pathetic
Who got a bit worked up? Why? Damn, why do I always miss the good stuff

ok here's the link but bear in mind I'm not totally serious just thought I could wind up and have a bit of a laugh with them.....apparently not.....which actually does kind of make it funny

Oh and I'm postind as Louise on there
http://www.netmums.com/coffeehouse/teens-older-children-581/teens-home-family-61/301436-wor king-teen-how-much-rent-2.html#post3355016
Dont worry about it, hun. {{{{{{{ hugs }}}}}}}}
I've just sneaked a peek at their topic list to try and work out where a judgey barney bunfight would go...I can't see anywhere. There is a topic called Having A Bad Day. Bless.
oh MrsB that is me described to a T.
now update me with gossip/rucks please.
Just do the fucking link, fgs woman!
calling each other "honey" - hon for short

Netmums makes my eyes hurt. You will have to do a link please cos I can't possibly wade through all the 'hons' hon.
My sister is a netmummer - she is a hon.
what did you do earlier?
ear out for gossip....
what? what? what?
link to the spat thread please
which thread? Linky please...
yabu
there is a reaosn we are here and they are there
[nest of vipers]
[boozy shouty fishwives]
[caffeine-fuelled harridans]
[clumsy, accident-prone, drunken loons with Le Creuset saucepans and pissed Scottish husbands]
What's the thread about?
NM is Hun Central. Not much acerbic wit, 'fraid.
oh no no no not yet.....some of them are so upset I think they may actually be crying
link please
Many of you will know I was on earlier and we all got a bit worked up.......but I like to think it was quite fun.
They're not taking it with the same good humour on netmums!!
