... and stop projecting their issues or making assumptions about what other people think or what their lives are like or how they think they should live them?

Not wanting to start another SAHM/WAHM debate... but i've been posting on a thread where a SAHM was told to start planning to get back out to work when her kids go to school!!!

I'm seeing such a lot of that on here lately.. just because a particular way of life works for you, don't assume it'll work for everyone else.

Answer the question asked and stop being so judgemental and giving advice that was neither solicited or necessary... or any of your business in the first place!

But I thought that was the whole point of AIBU? To make judgements.

Yes, if you post on AIBU you are TOTALLY asking for anyone to sling whatever mud they fancy in your general direction. If you don't wanna hear it, don't post on an internet forum - doh!

of course.. because actually wanting an answer to the question you're asking and not for everyone to tell you how to live your life is totally unreasonable in the first place...

I do think if you post an AIBU thread then you must expect others opionions.

I am talking more about RL where people feel free to pass comment on you family and your methods and are just bloddy rude.

Oh, hell no!

That's what you get in life, Judgeypants.

People just don't share it because they're afraid of gettin stabbed.

But they think it, anyway, however mean and snobby and harsh you think they are.

And this is one of the last places online where they haven't been moderated out of telling you what a lot of folks think, anyhow, when they see your situation.

And that's why I think people get rattled by it, because deep down, they know that.

They know what people think, they just want to go some place where people will pay lip service and tell them what they want to hear for fear of getting moderated or banned off a website or flamed by a bunch of strangers who felt the same but didn't have the balls to say it.

Stay out of the kitchen if you can't take the heat.

That should be the MN mission statement.

Don't want it to be anyone's business? Then don't make it so on the www.

You put stuff online, it's like putting it all on a sandwich board and walking round Trafalgar Sqauare at lunch hour on a sunny summer day.

For real, anyone with any determination or intelligence can find this, so if you want it to be your business than either keep it to yourself or your nearest and dearest or at worst take a train into some city where you're not known and hit a pub and spout off in there.
