Oh, it's Dani Dyer. I saw the advert earlier but had no idea who the annoying girl was. Thanks!

Also - YANBU.

glueandstick · 03/07/2019 11:37

I thought dani dyer was a bloke?

Report
Eminybob · 03/07/2019 11:40

Danny Dyer is her dad

RubberTreePlant · 03/07/2019 21:58

What does it mean?

pigsDOfly · 03/07/2019 22:02

Okay, I get the Surf bit, although didn't realise that Surf was still a around, but what hell does Perf mean

HollyM89 · 03/07/2019 22:02

I've just seen it for the first time, it's awful!!

It means "perfect", everything's perfect with Surfect... You aren't being unreasonable, it's just stupid and annoying, and makes a mockery out of true old school cockney's... this new school "over the top", desperate to stay relevant and be noticed TOWIE style exaggeration of the cockney accent mixed with deliberate stupidity and "I'm thick as 2 planks" is just pathetic, and totally pointless, you're still not relevant.

Dreadful advert from dreadful, ruthless phony Dani Dyer.

Report

I thought it must be some sort of radical feminist?

Report
pigsDOfly · 06/07/2019 15:47

Thank you ButterflyCandy86 for that explanation.

So 'everything's 'perf' with Surf.' Dear god, does no one speak sensible English anymore?

Haven't actually seen the advertisement but there is no product on earth that Danny Dyer could persuade me to buy. If he were advertising oxygen, I think I'd rather go without.

ButterflyCandy86 · 06/07/2019 19:13

Lol, he is actually alright, it's his daughter DANI DYER that's in the advert, who I cannot stand, and her stupid wannabe boyfriend trying his hardest to speak ridiculous exaggerated cockney and please her dad Danny Dyer, with his awful veneers and Essex boy quigg, Ralph Lauren shirts, and tight Jean's, urgh!!! Honestly her and him, they are both so annoying!

TrendyNorthLondonTeen · 06/07/2019 19:14

I wouldn't mind it so much if "perf" and "surf" actually rhymed as I assume they're supposed to.

Theimpossiblegirl · 06/07/2019 19:19

My money is on her being on I'm a Celebrity this year. There's a bit of jungle featured in the really annoying Surf advert.

Report
pigsDOfly · 06/07/2019 19:37

Oh okay, I thought it was him, as I say I haven't seen it. Didn't realise there was a Dani Dyer as well as a Danny.

PenguinWings · 06/07/2019 21:31

To me "perf" is short for "perforated". As in "can I have another 2 units of blood for the perf DU in cubicle 7".

It doesn't really make me think of clean things.

I'm sure "perf with surf" would mean perfume with surf for the "longer lasting fragrance". Ermm maybe a different advert.... Lol.

That advert is fucking awful hate it with a passion

Report
ButterflyCandy86 · 15/07/2019 15:45

No I'm sure it means "perfect", implying everything's perfect with Surf, because she mentions stains I think and other things that cause an inconvenience.
