I must confess to enjoying a large small sherry in front of the open fire now that the cold weather is here.

Evidently my rock-chick credentials are now lost. Is there anything else I ought to be doing?

I watch finger waggy reality tv. So that I can rattle on like an old harpy (thanks Matthew Wright) at the tv, and put the world to rights. No one is listening of course, but who cares? GrinHalo

Nope. Sheepskin boots and a woollen wrap!

I'd love to be able to crochet - never mastered it, alas. I can knit though Grin

That may be true Euphemia, but it depends what you are crocheting, if its toilet dollies, then you are well past it. If its some kind of subversive sweary hipster cushion, woven from the silkiest mens beards, conditioned exclusively with peruvian macadamia oil, then, you may just be clinging onto the edges of youth. I had a friend who used to wear a gold bikini with a long (knee-length) crocheted waistcoat and knee-high boots for clubbing. She looked amazing!

  • put your nightie on the radiator while you are in the bath
  • get a tea cosy
  • have a favourite programme on the wireless and settle down to it 2 minutes early
  • get a bit flustered when you get a voicemail; and when you return the call, explain exactly what you were doing when you missed the original call, including a long preamble about why you were doing this thing at a slightly different time from last week

I do crochet when the cat permits me to touch the wool stash. Think fluffy hats and anime octopi.

Who/what are the Archers?
