My friend has recently been on holiday to Thailand & I asked her to buy me an updated song pack for the Karaoke machine she bought for me in Thailand 18 months ago, aprox £25 for additional song pack. Love karaoke, but only used the machine twice as the song choices were a little obscure! She has phoned me tonight to say she couldn't get an updated pack but its ok as she has bought me a new karaoke instead, at the staggering cost of £200, yes £200!!!!! What's a girl to do??

So your friend tried to help you, couldn't find exactly what you was looking for and went one better

She could have rung first true but least she tried.

Very ungrateful

What's the point of a machine without song packs though

Now you have 2 song packless machines

Does she want £200 to pay for it or is it a gift?

Report
YappyYapster · 02/10/2016 21:51

Do you mean she's expecting the money for it?

Ok, I'm assuming you were intending to pay her the £25 and are now worried you will have to stump up £200.
I would text right now and ask her to please try to return it, as unfortunately you can't afford 200, but thank her for the gesture.
If she intends it to be a gift, that's her chance to say. If she expects payment then she will know she isn't getting it!

Pay for it and then sell it online?

What everyone else has said OP. Is it a gift or are you expected to pay for it? Makes all the difference...

You are to tell her to return it. She should have contacted you before buying it and saved you both hassle.
