AIBU?

To wonder why others can post on a thread but not me

Just noticed a thread has gone over the 1000 post threshold, its one I have posted on previously so I keep being notified by email everytime someone posts a new message on it....now this is confusing as it clearly states "no more messages on this thread" yet its now at 1015 messages and continuing to grow...are a few long standing privileged posters allowed to post past 1000?

Is it Pink's thread? Think the mobile app is still allowing people to post

I'm on my mobile and I can post on it. The last I saw it had 1017 comments, I deleted the thread off my watch list at 1000 as I thought nothing else would be posted on it.

yes, weird isnt it, especially as most people use their mobiles to post :)

Tis strange, pregnant but the last of the thread I saw seemed to indicate the OP wasn't being terribly honest. Not to mention the gunfight!

Dammit. Now you've made me look for it...

witchywoohoo · 29/09/2016 15:29

What makes you say that Usual - genuinely interested? I had a look at previous posting history and Pink seems genuine enough!

ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 29/09/2016 15:30

Bunfight, not gunfight! Though it almost came to that!

Yeah most of the threads that get past 1000 turn out to be bollocks. People that post after 1000 are just nosey bastards anyway as are the place markers with all the patronising Flowers

Which post? Where?? Quick, I miss everything (due to sodding time differences usually)

Report

Is it still going on? I followed that thread all day yesterday.

Did have a very slight feeling it may not be 100% genuine, but you never know.

It's a bit strange that the word 'penis' was deemed unacceptable! By the end of it, there were just too many flowers popping up - gave me hay fever.

Odd that people can still post, though.

How do you know?

Report
witchywoohoo · 29/09/2016 16:12

Yeah Jess..if anything the "cutting" and "rusty knife" bits were the scary bits not the word penis Smile ! I can understand Pink's rage though - but will say if a guy posted "AIBU to mutilate my wife's clitoris with a rusty knife" it would (quite rightly) have been jumped on. That thread was just weird in many different ways. I suppose this'll be zapped soon though.

Thanks Jess. I'm having a shitty day, and your gunfight comment has cheered me up, no end!

witchy. I've only been on here about three months, but have never seen a thread reach the 1000 posts mark so quickly! It was chaos! and I was glued to it

Report
ItShouldHaveBeenJess · 29/09/2016 16:19

hardcore. I defend my gunfight typo - there were a lot of cheap shots being fired! Sorry you're having a crappy day. Go on, then, have some Flowers

What are your reasons for not believing it, if you don't mind me asking? Mnhq don't appear concerned.

Hi OP,

Thanks for flagging. Could you report that particular thread to us, and we will take a closer look.

Report
Ginkypig · 29/09/2016 17:03

I was hoping to be able to post as I hadn't had the chance before her update but by then it was full and as far as I'm aware she didn't start a 2nd thread.

I don't know if it's real but I'm going to behave as if it is because if it is then after what's she's been through she deserves support!

Mnhq some of us would like to post support but the fight took up a lot of space!
