AIBU?

To want a nut free chocolate selection box?

Why do all chocolate selection boxes contain chocolates with nuts? I have to waste or give to my family if feeling generous at least half sometimes 3/4s of a box of chocolates because they contain nuts.

I'm not allergic just can't stand the taste of them.

Why can't a box of chocolates exist that just contains the strawberry, coffee, caramel, toffee, truffle etc with none of the nuts?

I was with you until you said coffee ones were acceptable. Coffee chocolates are WRONG I tell you!

If you go to the sweet shop in our town you can just pick your favourite ones from the jars lining the shelves. You could have all coffee or all strawberry if you like.

DH likes the rhubarb and custard boiled sweets. Personally I like the chocolate mint ones.

I can take the coffee out, as long as it's not replaced by a nut one!

Hotel Chocolat have a website widget that lets you specify all sorts, like no alcohol,so worth checking there.

Hubby is anaphylactic to nuts. Means I avoid them as the allergen can remain for many hours if I eat them. I miss proper selection boxes which I can buy for birthdays/Christmas' mainly so I can hand around a box and we can be normal without being possessive about what chocolate I've managed to buy from a far flung retailer for the special occasion.

No HC don't can select alcohol or not, milk or not, dark or not, but no nut or not.

It's a HC I'm eating at the moment or not as the case maybe due to all the darn nut ones.

Quality streets have started bringing these out. There is a 'cream' selection available. So it's has strawberry cream, orange cream etc. there are a few different ones.

Tbf most people don't like at least one out of those mixed boxes. I can't stand the strawberry, coffee and orange creams am completely not bothered by it

Yes. It cracks me up every time. Especially the 'will it' food ones Camel. I may have a slight crush on both of them too. Blush
