Now I'm sad about Cha Cha, but also my favorite movie of all time ever (that, unbelievably I never really thought about) is kind of ruined as I realize how much it promotes the whole 'good girls are the ones to marry' narrative.

I liked Rizzo's song, I didn't see it as confessing to being a ho I saw it as her standing up for herself, just like she did with the suspected pregnancy and positively comparing herself to more washy washy girls just waiting for life to happen to them.

But I suppose both Danny and Sandy changed for each other and met in the middle. Though it seems much more reasonable for him to work harder at school and be faithful, than it does for her to dress more tarty, drink and smoke!

I reckon they got married, had a bunch of kids, and she made him give up his mates and the fags.

It also annoyed me that everyone thought jan was fat. And there is no way Marty and jan would have been friends.
