It's because society is broken. I blame David Cameron. We should all be signing off with a cursory 'fuck you'.

I must admit I have got confused with texting a few times. Although, there have been one or two messages that warranted a x at the end.

I do it out of habit. Had to delete one from the bottom of an email to DS's teacher last week, he's a nice bloke but not that nice! Grin

I've seen a few that have had kisses scattered without a carexx
In the middle of the post x and anywhere they fancied xxx
It's like, on FB when people post things like "lovely day xxx"

I can help you with that one Chaos - it's connected with the symbol of the cross and originally was used to signify sincerity and faith at the end of a letter.

They're not kisses, they're algebra. The y just got lost.

Can you report a thread for 'x's' or 'huns'? Hmm

Report
Dobbiesmum · 23/09/2013 10:53

Ah I knew it was something to do with the sign of the cross but I thought it was used as a symbol to signify Christianity when it was new and an ' underground' belief, a type of secret symbol thing?
Your explanation makes more sense Fenton.
