AIBU?

Is my 7.5 month old too young to go out to play?

My little girl is 7.5 months old and I'm wondering if she is too young to go out and play.

She has this friend who comes around 2 or 3 times a day. This friend sits outside our house and waits for my girl to spot her, and then they'll sit either side of the window staring at each other, occasionally crying. Sometimes this friend brings another friend.

The problem is, I'm not sure how old these friends are. The one who comes daily is about twice the size of my girl. The other one is bigger too but not quite as big. I don't even know how old they are.

AIBU to not let me little girl go out and play with these two friends?

Alone? Yes. Of course.

With you, no. It would be nice for her to get out and be with other children.

Confused What is your 7.5 month old going to do? Go out on her scooter? Ride her bike?

I assume this is a joke?

You do mean 7.5 years* old rather than months I presume. Xmas Smile

Are you talking about humans here? Or cats?

How's she going to play with older children at 7.5mo?

Would your little girl be a cat by any chance?

Is this a reference to a book or something? I don't get it.

How does a 7 month old baby have friends, are they older children?

You're talking about cats, not kids right?

Is this a rather poor spoof? Or did you mean 7.5 years?

yes am presuming cat

if your cat has had her jabs, has been neutered, then let her out, YABU to keep her in, poor kitty. All those fallen leaves to chase.

Thing is, what if these friends have bugs or something, I don't want my girl catching them!

I'm assuming you mean YEARS????

Although you did write months twice so I am confused!

But if it's years then personally I wouldn't let my 7 year old out alone, no. But then I'm quite strict on that and don't let my 9 year old dd out either.

Why are the girls crying anyway ?? That seems a bit odd just because they aren't allowed out alone. Can you not speak to the girls mum or dad and have them inside to play ?

What if they nick her building blocks?

It was. You certainly got me! I was trying to tell you you were a berk for even thinking of sending your 7.5 month crawling off outside without actually telling you you were stupid, in case you were depressed or something!

Building blocks? My girl is far too sophisticated for those. She plays with the coal from the open fire!
