and that 13 discussion in aibu about Christmas in the last week (in addition to the ones mnhq have moved) is too many. Not to mention that of the 96 threads with Christmas in the title in the last week, more than 45 of them are outside the sodding Christmas topic Hmm. And "Christmas" has appeared in more than 500 posts since the beginning of October.

And I was in my local M&S today, and the entire Christmas stock of cards decorations and sundry tat was set up and squishing the Hallowe'en tat into the aisles.

It's getting ridiculous.

Yadbu. I love Christmas and have been annoying my DH DSS and work colleagues for weeks :)

Instead of counting threads why not ignore them?

For a lot of people they can only afford Christmas if they start planning early

Fuck off gordy.

This thread is not about Christmas ffs. It's about IT ONLY BEING SODDING OCTOBER

(as I might just have mentioned once or twice).

How else can we do it though ? Its fekkin hard work providing a large young family with a good Christmas, can't just pop out at 4.45pm on Christmas Eve.

So you're clearly well off enough to go and do it all in a week in December. Some of us have to space it out over the whole autumn in order to afford it.

Sirzy, I am ignoring them

My hidden threads list is ridiculous

There is an entire topic set aside to go to talk about that holiday that isn't happening for another two and half months.

In fact, I see it as a great big tidal wave coming straight for me, haven't done any prep yet, every year I swear I'll have all the work done by the end of November.

Just autumn? I started my asda savings card in January over £100 saved that way!

And it's nothing to do with being well off. If you are doing Christmas on a budget there are millions of lovely helpful threads IN THE CHRISTMAS TOPIC.

Do you realise you've just started ANOTHER thread about Christmas?!

Report
GoSakuramachi · 10/10/2012 17:18

But whats the point? If you are wittering about christmas for months before hand, aren't you bored senseless by the time it actually comes around? It's only one day, you buy a couple of presents, some food, lots of booze and stick a tree up. ]

Frankly, if it takes you several months to organise and pay for one day, you're doing it wrong and spending too much.

This is a threads about IT NOT BEING CHRISTMAS YET

And if Olivia pops up and moves it to the Christmas topic I will.... I will... well, I'm not sure what I will do, but it won't be pretty.

and YANBU, op, if people do want to witter and plan, they should do it far away from the rest of us in the designated area! Bugger off to the C topic where we can hide it all.

[arf] at all the clever people telling me where to post.

I repeat. This is not a Christmas thread. It can't go in the Christmas topic. I want a NOT CHRISTMAS YET topic, just for me.

I luffs Christmas, iPod decided to play some Christmas tunes on shuffle today, think it is also feeling its time to get in the mood.

I love the family time, the presents, the Christtingle service, the Christmas wonderland in the city centre....

What do you mean I didn't read the op properly? Grin
