AIBU?

to think that DM shouldn't prioritise her clubs over me?

Don't get me wrong - I luff my mum and we'd do anything for each other.

I'm just really fuming that she wouldn't nip round to mine to rescue the washing off the line today. The rain was about to lashy down and I didn't really want to intterupt what I was doing. But she said she wouldn't as she'd be late for KnitAndKnatter, well she calls it StichAndBitch, but that's a hole other thread lol.

Now I have to do the complete wash again - its really unenvironmentalky friendly to have to rewash stuff that stinks.

Sigh.

AIBU to think she should revisit her priorities I don't ask for much really?

Is this a joke or a thread about a thread or something.

Must try harder :)

Sorry but I think YABU.

Why should your mum interrupt her life for your washing? Do you really need to wash it again? If I hang mine out well spaced I think the rain makes it softer, and it doesn't smell at all :)

"I didn't really want to intterupt what I was doing" - neither could she.

Obviously a piss-take!

What were you doing that you didn't want to interrupt?

Yab completely unreasonable.

Just out of interest, what were you doing that was far more important than your mother having her own life?

Report
ribbonsandrainboughs · 01/06/2012 18:26

Not a pisstake you cynics.

Hmm

I was in town. She had to drive past my door. It's not like it was a club that you had to be there dead on time. Confused

Ok. I'll play along then.

It was washing. It wasn't water soluble. YABU. Stick it on for a rinse and spin. Job done.

If its not a piss take, you're just quite precious. If it was that important, you should have gone home.

I know it's a wind up but it still made me smile. A little bit of me is chuckling even more at the idea that it's not a wind up and there is an adult out there who thinks their mum exists mainly to run errands for her

Are you seriously serious? Really?

I'd be embarrassed to ask my Mum that. I'm a big girl that has been managing my own washing for a very long time. Plus stitch and bitch sounds a lot more fun than sorting out another competent adults washing.

ribbons - C'mon, you absolutely are on a wind-up. You have to be.

If not, then you must be Princess SpoiltMadam

I like the sound of StitchNBitch too ... and I don't even knit.

I'd take it up if I could go to a club like that though Grin

What's the harm with a second rinse? You're a Madam.

You can't even say the word 'love', you use 'luff' - that speaks volumes in itself.
