Yes you should take a parenting class.

Crisps are part of the bad breakfast routine from about a year old.

Hope you feel better soon.

Did you put them in a bowl with some milk?

op hope you get well soon.

once in a while wont hurt, perhaps he can have beans on toast for lunch another easy option for you.

Once the lemsip has kicked in you can give him a proper breakfast :)

YANBU.

YABU Skips are rank. You should have given him Monster Munch pickled onion flavour.

Make your own honey and lemon and just take some paracetamol, much nicer than lemsip.

Slice of lemon, spoonful of honey, boiling water. If you've got any mint in the garden chuck a few leaves of that in too.

I ask as DS once had wotsits in a bowl with some milk and proclaimed it 'delicious'. Skips are really just fishy cornflakes, right?

Report
scuzy · 09/10/2011 10:03

RightupMyRue that sounds like a lot of effort tbh. cant take any proper cold stuff with decongestants cos they interfere with antidepressants so its basic paracetemol which may as well be tic tacs.

ds just gave me a hug god he stinks of skips!!

Well my 2.5 year old had three slices of buttered toast and vegemite for dinner last night.

And I'm not sick!

In my defence he asked for this [and ate it all!] and I was tired of cooking him meat and veges to have him play with it a bit, throw some on the floor and leave the vegetables almost entirely.

lol bootymum i am the same! he asked for the skips and wasnt in the form to argue.

That's the sort of breakfast my DD would love if she could get away with it.
OP, i don't think you have flu if you are MNing and putting washing on.
Go back to bed and let your DH deal with it all.

At least it wasn't Quavers. They are rank.

OP you also have to onsider: if your DS gets ill and starts throwing up. What was be the least offensive regurgitated snack to clean up?

Envy - that's not an envy face, it's a bleurgh face.

If you have a pharmacy near you get someone to go and buy some menthol crystals.
Put a couple in a bowl and pour almost boiling water over it and make a tent with a towl. Put your head over it and breathe the vapour in.
It will clear your chest and sinuses, but don't use too much of them. They can be very burny especially with boiling water.

If YABU then so am I. All four of mine had spiced biscuits for breakfast this morning (nicked from the "xmas box"-it's now empty) and have just had an early lunch of leftover veg pizza Grin

Makes my malt loaf for breakfast thread yesterday look glowing with health :o

Naah, anything for breakfast is fine once in a while although I think YABU to give him skips, they're bloody horrible!
