he manages to say "oh my god, you're so delightful"! wtf?! delightful?!! I've never really been one for talking dirty but "delightful" is just too far the other way! He is now feeling wounded at my amusement but I am quite sure I ANBU!!

uanbu hun i would do the same, dh tries to have a little dirty chat sometimes but i always feel the need to tell him to shut up.

I have even mentioned that the ceiling could do with a paint to stop him talking

Classic.

Reminds me of when I had just split with someone named John. During the first 'session' with my next boyfriend, I started saying 'Oh Joh....Joh....Joh' before realising this may not go down that well and quickly changed it to 'Oh Jolly Good'.

to our credit we managed to carry on (afternoon sessions don't happen very often here any more!) and then the phone rang and that really was the end. x

YABVU - have you never heard the song Afternoon Delight?

Report
gremlindolphin · 23/09/2010 21:02

Just youtubed it BeenBeta - how funny! What a sweet song. Don't think I'll show dh as he'll want to know how I found it and might not be so pleased I'm discussing him on MN!

Grin @ how you've phrased it, "He manages to say," as if words were, at that point, beyond him.

Am liking the cut of his jib. How about:

topping?
marvellous?
splendid?
pulchritudinous?

It sounds like the cue for a song in a musical. Not sure what kind of musical though.

YANBU that's very funny
sweet, though

odd thing to say in the throes of passion mind you....is he a very polite chap?

Report
gremlindolphin · 23/09/2010 21:39

CatIsSleepy - he is quite polite but this was not really the time for being polite in my opinion!

DinahRod - "manages" was indeed that case which is why is was so funny!
