Please help i'm confused - Christmas at the ..signs

Christmas at the Oranges'

or Christmas at the Oranges ( because there is no noun following...)

I asked my husband and he just laughed - when you look at all the signs on ebay/notonthe highstreet etc they are all different . I was sure I was right with the first option but reading on the internet I may be wrong..or I am reading American grammar rules - are they different??

You need the apostrophe because it's possession, not a plural.

It is a plural. You don't need an apostrophe.

Yes you need apostrophe assuming that it's short for Christmas at the oranges' house.

If it was Christmas with the oranges then no apostrophe needed as it's plural.

If you mean at the Oranges' home then it is possessive but it is also a question of style- I wouldn't put it. It use WITH instead of AT to solve the problem!

Yes I also prefer WITH.

I prefer WITH to but I can't seem to find any signs that say that. So just imagine Orange was my surname - the amount of signs that I have seen that say Christmas at the Orange's is truly shocking!

I am probably going to have to make one myself which was what I was trying to avoid ..my poncing skills are not up to scratch!
