Have you tried the pound shops op? I can often get them for £1. E.g. [http://www.poundshop.com/whitakers-plain-chocolate-rose-creams-150g See here]] . Just rose creams but I often see both as separate purchases.

Hotel Chocolat do a pack of 6 for about £3-50 - but six is never enough, in my experience!

Sadly I think the more you pay, the better they are. I love Charbonel et Walker but as you say, they are very £££

If you're anywhere near the Midlands (specifically South Birmingham) Beckett's Farm in Withal sell them for £3.49.
