Christmas

Any idea what I might like for Christmas?

I need to pass on two ideas, one about £30-50 and the other about £20. I just can't think of anything.

I'm not into smellies and make up. I recently had a birthday and had a kindle so no need for books etc. it needs to be something to open rather than a voucher.

All ideas gratefully received!!

The 'knowing' is the tricky bit! I need some new converse but am going to America next year so I'm not sure if that is daft.

I could also do with a purse but neither are desperately exciting!

I picked a bracelet from my DP and I've got a couple charms on it one for each of my dc, our local jewlers had ones from £20-60.

Where you've gone wrong is saying things you need. I always feel present should be things you want rather than need. What things do you fancy? What things do you see in shops and think ooh?

I totally agree, I want something I fancy.. That I will open and be excited about. The bracelet is a nice idea but I did that last year!

Have you looked at the And Mary purses, really lovely. (Can't do link but if you google it will come up). They are definately not boring.

How about lovely shampoo like agenda or Kiehls! those are around £20 and last forever. Once again not the most exciting but lovely to use.

I love Converse and I didn't find them a great deal cheaper in the states.

Thanks will definitely google the purse. I am not a fan of different shampoos etc - I pretty much stick to my brands on products.

Hmmm will look a converse again I think if they aren't much cheaper.

Wondering what I might need for my holiday - 2 weeks in Florida in April!

I am asking for lululemon vouchers from dh. You can after all open a voucher! Is there a particular shop you like?

Well bed socks/lounge socks I guess. Lazy Sunday socks! Think you can get 'normal' cashmere socks too.

I have also asked for lululemon vouchers.

Thanks for all the ideas. The purse is definitely a possibility at the moment!

Glad you like the purses. They are beautiful inside as well! I am getting a new one and spent ages on the website trying to decide between the orange fox or the apple green hare

Clarins hydra-quench moisturiser about £35 and the best moisturiser out there. Clarins normally do sets this time of year too where you pick what you want in them so could add another item.
Nice scarf
Earrings
Pandora or similar Christmas charm
Something from disaster designs? They do nice travel document holders (better than they sound) and all types of purses and bags etc - worth a look

Footner! (Always fancied trying it but £20 is a lot of my own money to spend on something so random.)

Does it have to be something you could open per se? What if someone booked you a lovely massage or paid for a nice meal out somewhere for you? x

Something to open as my ds will be disappointed if I've nothing to unwrap!

Ok so thanks to the suggestion I am going to be the owner of an And Mary purse, and with a 20% discount code no less!

All I need now is something else for £20-30. I've got scarves, gloves etc and don't really like beauty products ... So its a tricky one!

Twirls at helping bodiddly with purse ....

Coffee! New tweezers, new hairbrush (something that you use daily that you can replace rather than waiting for when needed.

Do you do any sport, or exercise and need something for that? (Thinking swimming googles, new towel)

Mulberry kindle cover or iphone cover?

Report
bodiddly · 18/12/2014 19:36

Don't drink coffee, don't really exercise and had a new kindle and cover for my birthday a couple of weeks ago! That is why this is so tricky - birthdays close to Christmas!

Nice olive oil
Kitchen equipment
Cookbook (easier than on kindle)

Do you sense a theme...?

Report
bodiddly · 18/12/2014 20:01

Definitely a theme there ... I'm getting a cookbook from someone else as am newly diagnosed coeliac. Not a massive cook though so I wouldn't get overly excited about foodie stuff!
